FERRIDAY, La. - Services for Maude Keyes Gayle, 90, of Jonesboro, Ga., formerly of Waterproof, who died Monday, Jan. 6, 2003, in Riverdale, Ga., will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Comer Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Larry W. Fields officiating.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Comer Funeral Home of Ferriday.
Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gayle was born Aug. 17, 1912, in Trenton, the daughter of John Wiley and Laura Westbrook Keyes.
She was a homemaker, a resident of Jonesboro for four years, a former resident of Waterproof and a member of Tensas Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gayle was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Roy Keyes, Walter Patton Keyes and Willis Keyes; three sisters, Hilda Chennault, Clemmie Porter and Velma Duncan.
Survivors include three sons, James Dewitt Gayle of Oneonta, Ala., Charles J. Gayle of Jonesboro and Andrew S. Gayle of Denver, Pa.; two sisters, Vera Huff of Ferriday and Hazel Walker of Knoxville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Marion Newman, Clyde Ray Webber, Bud Huff, Marshal Deason, Chuck Rich and Dewitt Gayle.

Gladys O. Fife

WINNSBORO, La. - Services for Gladys O. Fife, 87, of West Monroe, who died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at Glenwood Medical Center in West Monroe, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Gill First National Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Howington officiating.
Burial will follow in Myrtle Memorial cemetery in Winnsboro under the direction of the funeral home.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fife was born June 23, 1915, in Bienville Parish, the daughter of Ed and Pairlee Howington.
She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Fife; her parents; two brothers, Willie Howington and Fred Howington; and one sister, Gertrude Nelson.
Survivors include one son, Eddie Fife, and his wife, Frankie, both of West Monroe; two brothers, Hank Howington of Vidalia and Tom Howington of Ferriday; and one sister, Tressie Siddon of Winnsboro.
Pallbearers will be Mark Thompson, Todd Thompson, Brian Wilson, Mitch Williams, Gerry Howington and Adam Howington.
Violet Rose Geis

VIDALIA, La. - Services for Violet Rose Geis, 87, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Nunn officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez under the direction of Young's Funeral Home of Vidalia.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Geis was born July 9, 1915, in Seattle, the daughter of Joseph Morris and Victoria Cohen.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Vidalia. She was also a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. She attended the University of Washington for two years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Geis; her parents; two brothers, David J. Cohen and Morris J. Cohen; one sister, Rebecca Hallin; and one niece, Vicki Hallin Granade.
Survivors include one niece, Connie Hallin of Lynnwood, Wash.; a friend, Louise Gore of Vidalia; and a niece and nephew, Renne and Chuck Granade, and their father, Pat Granade.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Probst, Marty Probst and Tommy Probst.
Honorary pallbearer will be J.B. Temple.

HOUMA, La. - Services for Frank Luther Maricelli of Houma, who died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, will be at 2 p.m. today at Maria Immaculata Catholic Church.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories cemetery in Gray under the direction of Chauvin Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Maricelli was a native of Campti, a retired construction accountant for Tennessee Gas Pipeline Co. and a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during World War II in the Pacific Arena. He was wounded twice and received the A.T.O., A.P.O., two Meritorious Stars and the Good Conduct and Victory medals.
Mr. Maricelli was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Willie Eleanor Clark Maricelli; one son, Lane Maricelli; one brother, Charles "Sonny" Maricelli Jr.; and three sisters, Dorothy M. Coulton, Dollie Maricelli and Cleo M. Briley.
Survivors include his wife, Ouida Faust Maricelli; one son, Barry Maricelli of Natchez; three daughters, Debra Blackwell, Lisa Allen and Pennie Deligans, all of Houma; one sister, Helen Bostick of Natchitohes; and nine grandchildren, Trey Smith and Amber Smith, both of Natchez, and Gina Blackwell Trahan, Chad Allen, Brad Blackwell, Kara Blackwell, Hailey Allen, Ravyn Deligans and Gabrielle Deligans, all of Houma.

WATERPROOF, La. - Services for Martha Robinson, 90, of New Orleans and formerly of Waterproof, who died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, in New Orleans, will be at 11 a.m. today at Choctaw Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Brown officiating.
Burial will follow in Barcelona cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Mrs. Robinson was born April 4, 1912, in Waterproof, the daughter of William and Susie Tinson.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith and served on the Choctaw Chapel Usher Board.
Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Robinson, and one son, Robert Tinson.
Survivors include one son, John Tinson and his wife, Rose, both of Carson, Calif.; two daughters, Rebecca McCrainey of Waterproof and Rosie Lee Webb of Chicago; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Janie Webb of Waterproof and Mary Carter of Alexandria.

FERRIDAY, La. - Services for Bruce Wagley, 52, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Comer Funeral Home with the Rev. Sandy Ridenour officiating.
Burial will follow in the Natchez City cemetery under the direction of the funeral home.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Wagley was born March 4, 1950, in Shreveport, the son of Carl Lee and Mercedes Babin Wagley.
He was a former casino manager at the Golden Nuggett in Las Vegas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Glen Wagley.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Wagley of Ferriday; two brothers, Carl Wagley Sr. and Billy Wagley, both of Ferriday; one sister, Linda Kimball of Clayton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Mitchell, Eric Mitchell, Johnny Peavey, Woody Wagley, Joe Wagley and Paul Wilson Sr.

WINNSBORO, La. - Graveside services for Percy Edward Sanders, 84, of Yazoo City, who died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, at Martha Coker Convalescent Home in Yazoo City, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Coax Baptist cemetery with the Rev. Doyle Adams officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home of Yazoo City.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Sanders was born July 3, 1918, in Meadville, the son of Edward C. Sanders and Nancy Watson.
He was a resident of Natchez for 33 years, a member of Morgantown Baptist Church and the American Legion, a retired supervisor from Armstrong Tire Company and an Army National Guard veteran who served during World War II.
Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Ludie Sanders of Yazoo City; one son, Max Sanders and his wife, Rita, both of Yazoo City; three grandchildren, Alex Sanders and Brent Sanders, both of Oxford, and Marti Sanders of Pisa, Italy.
The family requests memorials be made to the Martha Coker Building Fund or the Coax Baptist cemetery Fund.
Joseph W. Roberts Jr.

LEESVILLE, La. - Services for Joseph W. Roberts Jr., 74, of Leesville, who died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002, at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville, were held Nov. 14, at First Baptist Church, where the Revs. Wallace Palmer and Mark Brumbaugh officiated.
Burial was in the Forest Lawn cemetery in Leesville under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home.
Mr. Roberts was a native of Natchez, a retired U.S. Navy veteran with more than 27 years of service, a Gideon, a longtime member of the Leesville Masonic Lodge No. 240 F&AM;, Scottish Rite Bodies and was a 32nd-degree Mason. He had been a member of First Baptist Church for 29 years and was also a deacon.
Survivors include his wife, Margie M. Roberts of New Llano, La.; one son, Joseph W. Roberts III of Manville, R.I.; one daughter, Sharron J. Roberts of Baltimore, Md.; and two grandchildren, Joseph W. Roberts IV and Randy Roberts.

HARRISONBURG, La. - Services for James Buford Jones Sr., 91, of Ferriday, who died Monday, April 14, 2003, at Columns Nursing Home in Jonesville, will be at 2 p.m. today at Myers Bend Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Bill Cotton and Andy Wilson officiating.
Burial will be in Heard cemetery in Manifest under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.
Mr. Jones was born Aug. 5, 1911, in Calhoun City.
He was retired from Redd Pest Control and was a member of Hill Baptist Memorial Church.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Jones and Cathrine Jennett Jones; one brother, Clarence Jones; and his wife, Lola Beatrice Jones.
Survivors include two daughters, Maude Joiner of West Monroe and Doris Elaine Arnold of Pollack; four sons, James Buford Jones Jr. of Manifest, Warren Edward Jones of Winnsboro, Leman Howel Jones of Natchez and Robert Eugene Jones of West Monroe; three brothers, Robert Jones of Jacksonville, Fla., Jackie Jones of Joner, Ark., and Raymond Jones of Hernando; three sisters, Lonia Jones of Joner, Rachel Jones of Nashville, Tenn., and Margie Peck of Hernando; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
