Visiting at Nazarene Baptist Church from 10 a.m. Saturday until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Dr. Albert Green. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. Survived by her husband, Joe Johnson; a son, Rosmon B. Johnson; a sister, Rosie Payne; and two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. preceded in death by her daughter, Gloria Donatto; parents, Charlie and Sara Denham; brothers, Charlie Jr., Miason, Henry and Mathew; and sisters, Sara, Anna and Rhodi. Winnfield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

JOHNSON, MARGARET W. "MOMO"
She was a maintenance worker with the Iberville Parish School Board and a lifelong resident of Donaldsonville. She died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2003, at her home, at age 61. Visiting at St. John Baptist Church, 58075 Barrow St., Plaquemine, from 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, until religious service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Ricardo Handy. Interment in True Friend cemetery. She is survived by a daughter, Lois Janet Greene, Plaquemine; a sister, Carol Woods, Plaquemine; a brother, Charles Woods, Bayou Goula; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice of Baton Rouge. Demby & Son Funeral Home, Plaquemine, in charge of arrangements.

LANDRY, DIANNE
A parking control supervisor with the city of New Orleans, she died Monday, July 28, 2003. She was 54 and a native of St. James. Visiting at First Pentecostal Church, 122 N. Dorgenois St., New Orleans, from 9 a.m. Saturday until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. John Cupit. Interment in St. Luke cemetery, Moonshine. Survived by a son, Allen Joseph Landry; and three brothers, Paul Landry Jr., Melvin J. Landry Sr. and Willie J. Landry Sr. preceded in death by her parents, Agnelia Temple Landry and Paul Landry Sr. She was a graduate of Magnolia High School, St. James. D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, New Orleans, in charge of arrangements.

LEE, DORSEY
A retired carpenter and cement finisher and a lifelong resident of Plaquemine, he died Saturday, July 26, 2003, at his home. He was 62 and a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Kadoville, from 5 p.m. Friday until religious service at 8 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Joseph Jones. Dismissal at noon Saturday. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by his wife, Ernestine Oliver Lee; two sons and daughters-in-law, Darell and Sharhonda Lee and Chris and Neisha Lee, all of Plaquemine; a brother and sister-in-law, Elder Solomon and Shirley Lee; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. LIPSCOMB, CLAUDE HYRED
A retired tester and inspector with Westinghouse and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died Saturday, July 26, 2003, at 3:50 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 62 and a native of Erwinville. Visiting at Carney-Mackey Funeral Home, 1576 Robin St., from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. Religious service at Agape Missionary Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Eddie Sulcer Jr. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Survived by his wife, Druzella Lipscomb; a daughter, Katrice Lipscomb; a son, Claude H. Lipscomb II; a daughter-in-law, Alisa Latonia Lipscomb; a sister, Delores Sheppard; a brother, William C. Lipscomb Jr.; and a grandchild, Cartez Lipscomb. preceded in death by his father, mother and grandparents. He was a Scotlandville High School alumnus, former football star and an avid football fan.

MAGEE, BEVERLY MAE
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished by course, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7. Beverly Mae Magee, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 82. A graveside service conducted by the Rev. Thurston Brice will be held Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, at 2:30 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Earl Wayne and Lillian Davison; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth B. Sr. and Josie "Jo" Magee of Friendswood, Texas, and James C. and Margaret Magee of Liberty, Miss.; and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce A. Magee; and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bornor B. Davison. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society.

MANNING, DIANA SUE
Born March 5, 1990, she died Thursday, July 31, 2003. She was the child of David and Jackie Bankston Manning. Arrangements are pending with Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs.

A retired employee of Supreme Sugar Refinery and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at Prevost Memorial Hospital, Donaldsonville. He was 78 and a native of Paincourtville. Visiting at Pilgrim Baptist Church, Paincourtville, from 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Percy Truehill. Survived by a son, Harold Lloyd Jr. and wife Diane T. Melancon; a daughter, Sylvia Fay and husband Kenneth Popleon; a foster daughter, Tina and husband Raymond Comeaux Sr.; a granddaughter, Pedra LaNe� and husband Torrian Cutno; two grandsons, Torris Averis Kelly Sr. and Devon Cleveland Melancon; a great-grandson, Torris Averis Kelly Jr.; two foster grandsons, Rayburn and Raymond Comeaux Jr.; a foster granddaughter, Ranita Comeaux; three sisters, Louise Matthews, Ida Mae and husband Joseph Pearly, and Venola and husband Milton Robinson; a sister-in-law, Loretta Sanford; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland and Fannie Alsay Melancon; wife, Melba Sanford Melancon; a sister, Martha Melancon; and two brothers, Oscar and Cleveland Melancon. PARKER, JAMES CALDWELL "CAP"
A retired logging contractor and a resident of Denham Springs, he died at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at Summit Hospital, Baton Rouge. He was 88 and a native of Clark County, Ark. He supervised German prisoners for the federal government during World War II. Visitation was at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday. Visitation at First United Methodist Church, Denham Springs, from 1 p.m. until service at 3 p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Webra Price. Burial in Denham Springs Memorial cemetery, Denham Springs. He is survived by his wife of 651/2 years, Louise S. Parker of Denham Springs; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Martha P. and Donald R. Latimer, Patsy P. and Donald R. Hutches, and Sue Ellen Gray; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Carol Sue Parker and Jimmie S. and Suzie B. Parker, all of Denham Springs; a sister, Mildred Kent of Denton, Texas; two brothers, Paul Parker Sr. and Bill Parker, both of Whitesboro, Texas; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Wiley and Zella Mae Williams Parker; two brothers, J.W. and Winfred Parker; a sister, Martha Parker; and a grandson, Jeffery P. Latimer. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Don Michael Latimer, Les Parker, Mike Hutches, James Gregg Pickens, Steven Parker and Clint Parker. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Men's Bible Class of First United Methodist Church in Denham Springs. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Denham Springs since 1951. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to your church, favorite charity or local Multiple Sclerosis Society.

SHARP, NEVA HOOVER "JANIE"
A resident of Hammond, she died Tuesday, July 29, 2003, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was 92 and a native of Ponchatoula. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 11 a.m. Saturday until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Donnie Carter. Interment in Ponchatoula cemetery. Survived by her two daughters, Peggy Sharp, Ponchatoula, and Tommie Jane Sharp Dunaway, Slidell; a son, Henry Philip Sharp, Baton Rouge; 12 grandchildren, 24 grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. preceded in death by her parents, Henry Peter and Emma Perrin Hoover; husband, Forrest Philip Sharp; seven brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Sharp was the first woman carpenter hired at Higgins Shipyard in 1942. Her picture is on display at the D-Day Museum in New Orleans.
