Visitation will be held Monday, June 6, 2016 from 11:00AM – 12:00PM at Starlight Missionary Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 6, 2016 at 12:00PM at Starlight Missionary Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. Rev. Daniel Stafford will officiate. Burial will follow at Starlight Missionary Baptist Church cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
Earl Wallace, Jr.
Earl Wallace, Jr. was born May 16, 1975 to Erma Wallace and the late Earl Wallace, Sr. of DeRidder, Louisiana.
Earl Wallace, Jr. graduated from DeRidder High School. He attended Culinary School in Lake Charles, LA and Truck Driving School.
He was an employee of Beauregard Memorial Hospital and Wal-Mart of DeRidder. He moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where he worked at Wal-Mart, during which time he had a tragic accident. Earl, Jr. moved back to DeRidder in 2015 and resided at the DeRidder Retirement Home. He was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church of DeRidder, Louisiana.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Erma Wallace of DeRidder, LA; two sons, Nigel Freeman and Demark Watts; four sisters, Helen Feldner of Seattle, Washington, Lessie Ruth Robinson of Leesville, LA, Kerry Baker of DeRidder, LA and Katrina Chaisson of DeRidder, LA; two brothers, Dave Earl Wallace of Seattle, Washington and Kelvin Johnson of Ft. Worth, Texas.
He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, friends, godparents, Mr. & Mrs. Cleo St. Romain, god sister, Charlotte Satcher & Tyronda St. Romain
Preceding him in death are: his father, Earl Wallace, Sr.; Robert Earl Wallace; Glen Earl Wallace; Clarence Wallace; Cecille Gibbs and Marilyn Allen.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 9:00am – 11:00am at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church in DeRidder, Louisiana. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016, immediately following visitation at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Beauregard cemetery in DeRidder, LA. The Reverend Louis Guy will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Williams, Jonathan Williams, Woodrow Johnson, Jackie Miller, Fred Satcher and Warrick Walters. Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Kelvin Johnson, Dave Earl Wallace, Glenn Wallace Jr. and Scottie Chaisson.
Repast will be held at Pastor James Newton Fellowship Hall following interment.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Emma Menefee Brock of Beaumont, TX; son, Joseph Wayne Brock of Beaumont, TX; daughter, Christina DeVette Brock of Beaumont, TX; stepdaughters, Gwendolyn Menefee, Janis, Lina, Holly and Ashley Morrow all of Beaumont, TX; brother, Murphy Brock, Jr. of Lake Charles, LA; sister, Edna Jacobs Smith and husband Eugene,Sr. of Shreveport, LA; grandsons, Kenneth Dean and Phillip Harrison; and great granddaughter, Emma Abriel Curtis; special brother, Sampson Joubert, III; and special grandson, Jerrick Odell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Murphy Brock, Sr.; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; son, Eric Wayne Brock; and grandson, Tyrell Brock.

Dorothy Black, 83, of DeRidder, Louisiana passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 in Rosepine, Louisiana.
Dorothy is survived by: two daughters, Jennifer Hamilton, and husband Hershal, of DeRidder and Carrie Caldwell, and husband Ronald, of Camp Verde, Arizona; one sister, Laverne Sanford of Glenpool, Arizona; two grandchildren, Amy Smith and Jason Aunkst and two great grandchildren Hunter and Hagan Smith. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Fr. Roy Black and daughter, Debi Black Lane.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Trinity Episcopal Church in DeRidder, Louisiana. Fr. Lueckenhoff will officiate. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

Henry L. Williams, Retired USAF, 87, of DeRidder, LA passed from this life on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Williams is survived by his sons, Mike Williams & wife Cheryl of Westminster, CO, Jay Williams of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Janet VanWinkle & husband Raymond of Magnolia, TX, Marti Kibler & husband Rick of DeRidder, LA; sister, Dottie Williams of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren, Ashley Barber & husband Derrick of Vidor, TX, Kamrie VanWinkle of Magnolia, TX, Raymond “Ripper” VanWinkle of Magnolia, TX, Collin Kibler of DeRidder, LA, Cade Kibler of DeRidder, LA, Alexis Williams of DeRidder, LA. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda McConathy Williams, daughter, Carolyn Williams; grand-daughter, Kristian VanWinkle.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 6, 2015 from 5:00pm until at 1st United Pentecostal Church in DeRidder, LA and again on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 10:00AM until time of service. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 1:00PM at 1st United Pentecostal Church in DeRidder. Rev. Zale Lewis, Rev. Kevin Reeves, and Rev. Chance Lewis will officiate. Burial will follow at Cooper cemetery in Merryville, LA.

Charles T. DeLoach, 75, of West Monroe, LA, passed from this life on Monday, May 16, 2016 at his home. Mr. DeLoach was a graduate of Delhi High School and attended Northeastern University where he was a member of the band “Kats”. Mr. DeLoach was a member of the Air Force Reserves and owner of DeLoach Steel.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Charlotte Delia DeLoach of West Monroe, LA; son, Michael DeLoach of Delhi, LA; grandchildren, Christopher DeLoach, Caleb Deloach, and Seth Deloach. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Delouria DeLoach, Sr. and sister, Diane Pippin.

Frank Ellis, Sr.
August 19, 1939 - May 15, 2016
Frank Louis Ellis, Sr. was born August 19, 1939 to Henry and Lorraine Ellis in Lafayette, Louisiana. Mr. Ellis departed this life on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the age of 76 at Gulf Health Care, in Port Arthur, Texas, where he had resided for the past two years. Mr. Ellis served in the Army National Guard Reserves for 6 years and one year of active duty at Fort Polk, Louisiana. He worked many years for Louisiana Machinery in Monroe, Louisiana and later for Linbeck Construction in Monroe. Mr. Ellis was a mechanic by trade and spent much of his time in his shop working on heavy equipment. He also enjoyed working with his cows on his farm and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Ellis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Doris; 2 sons Frank Louis Ellis, Jr. and wife Susan of West Monroe, La. and Gary Edward Ellis of Nederland, Texas; 3 daughters, Rose Ellis Goebel and husband Tim of Nederland, Texas, Tammy Ellis Bankson and husband Gary of Rosepine, La., Teresa Ellis Richard and husband Roger of Sulphur, La., 10 grandchildren: Stephanie Ellis Barmore, Louis Wayne Ellis, Christopher Bankson, Ashley Ellis Meeks, Tori Goebel Shuler, Brittany Bankson Dailey, Ryan Goebel, Logan Richard, Cora Goebel and Lauren Richard and 11 great grandchildren, 3 brothers: Henry Lee Ellis, Jr, Joel Ellis and Jessie Ellis of Krotz Springs, La; 2 sisters: Vitula Dupree and Gloria Bihm both of Krotz Springs, La.
Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lorraine Ellis of Krotz Springs, La. and his brother, J. B. Ellis of Baton Rouge, La.
Visitation will be from 11 AM-2:00 PM with the service starting at 2:00 PM both at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, La. on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. The Rev. Gary Bankson and Rev. Randy Hammer will be officiating.
Mr. Ellis will be laid to rest at the Rosepine cemetery in Rosepine, LA

Hairl Dean Miller, 74, of DeRidder, LA, passed from this life on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at his home. Mr. Miller retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service. He served in Vietnam and Korea. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Marie Miller of DeRidder; son, Hairl Miller Jr. and wife Beckie of Rosepine; daughter, Theresa Scherenberg and husband Jose of Palm Harbor, FL; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Violet Miller; brother, SJ Miller and Jerry Miller.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 9, 2016 form 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 11:00am at Hyatt cemetery in Fields, LA.
Robert Thompson

Robert H. Thompson, 91, of Merryville, LA, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. Mr. Thompson served in the U.S. Marine Corp as a tank driver during World War II in the Pacific and saw action on the islands of Tarawa, Saipan and Tinian. He retired from ARCO/BP after 38 years of service. He loved woodworking and traveling across the country with his wife Jo. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Patrick Thompson and wife Carolyn of Chalmette, LA; sister, Marvis Lynn Ross of Lockhart, TX; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Drobny Thompson of Highland CA; 3 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Ann Thompson; son, Michael Edward Thompson; daughter, Annette Renee Thompson; parents, Robert Bertle Thompson and Mattie Elizabeth (Lizzie) Thompson; brother, Loyd Edward Thompson.
