Frank Reed Thomason, SR.

April 16, 1937 - December 5, 2011

Funeral services for Frank Reed Thomason, Sr, age 74, will be held Friday, December 9, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church of Haynesville with Dr. Shelby Cowling, Bro. Danny Triplet and Bro. Tim Ware officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow in the Pilkinton Cemetery, Benton, LA at 1:30 PM under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin Thursday at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bailey Funeral Home, Haynesville, LA.

Frank Thomason was born on April 16, 1937 to Frank A. and Mattie Wilkerson Thomason in Natchitoches, LA. Frank passed away suddenly on December 5, 2011. Frank is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Wanda Merritt Thomason and his children Karen Thomason, Reed Thomason and Sharon (Brad) Johnston. Granddaughters who were the light of Franks life: Hannah, Kaylee, Sarah, Jordan, Faith and Emily. Survived by his brother, Raymond (Mary) Thomason, Mt. Sterling, KY, sister: Vera T. Brewer, Natchitoches, LA, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. A career and accomplished pipeline and specialty welder with Mid-Valley Pipeline Company, Ed Owen Welding and Goodwins Welding before forming his own welding service. In the early 1960s Frank served in the U.S. Army and then farmed Bossier Parish, LA with his father-in-law, W. G. Merritt. Frank was a modest self-taught man who loved God, his family and his country and who exemplified the values of honest hard work and discipline to all of us around him. Frank was a prolific artisan who created numerous wood, iron and metalworks, who gardened and cooked to the delight of his family and friends. Frank and Wanda joined the ranks of the national Volunteer Christian Builders in 2005 and enjoyed fellowship traveling the country with retired fellow craftsmen as they helped to build new and improve existing churches. Jewell Remore Lowrey

November 11, 1914 - September 22, 2011

Funeral services for Mrs. Jewell Remore Lowrey, age 96, will be held Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, LA with Rev. Jeff May officiating. Interment will follow in Union-Sadie Cemetery, Marion, LA at 4:30PM under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Family will receive friends Sunday beginning at 1:00 PM until time of service.

Mrs. Lowrey was born November 11, 1914 in Sadie, LA to Bennie and Rutha Wallace Remore and passed away September 22, 2011 in Springhill, LA. She had been a resident of Taylor, AR for the past five years and a former resident of Bastrop, LA. She was a member of White Avenue Baptist Church of Bastrop, LA and a former clerk of Ft. Bend County, Texas.

She is survived by her son, Stacy Crumley and wife, Diane of Houston, TX; daughter-in-law, Faye B. Farrar of Taylor, AR; sister-in-law, Julia Deshazo; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lowrey was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Lowrey; son, Harrell Wallace Farrar and brothers, Joseph Remore, Leo Bennie Remore and James A. Deshazo.

Pallbearers will be Mark Deshazo, Garland Shows, Shawn Williamson, Greg Milloway, Jonathan Ureta, Don Arrington, Blake Farrar and Marc Sposeep.

Bobbie Jean Hornbeck

May 5, 1933 - December 7, 2012

Funeral services for Mrs. Bobbie Jean Hornbeck, age 79, will be held Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joseph Gillentine officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Bradley, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will begin Saturday at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hornbeck was born May 5, 1933 in England, AR to Lester and Francis Primm Ramsey and passed away December 7, 2012 in Springhill, LA. She has a resident of Springhill for 19 years and a former resident of Bradley, AR. Mrs. Hornbeck was a charter member of Springhill Christian Church and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Raymond Hornbeck; children, Vickie Umphries and husband, David of Sarepta, LA, Sherrie Davis and husband, Jerry of Sarepta, LA, Janet Parkerson and husband, Robert of Springhill, LA, Gena McMullan and husband, Denny of Springhill, LA; daughter-in-law, Patsy Bishop and husband, John of Bradley, AR; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; sister, Billie Jo Brewer and husband, Claude; two nieces and three nephews.

Mrs. Hornbeck was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Hornbeck; grandchild, Morgan McMullan and brother, Vernon Dale Ramsey.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Umphries, Greg Umphries, Brandon Sears, Conroe McMullan, Austin Lay and Dallas Lay.

Tammy Marie Holley

July 1, 1966 - February 7, 2012

Funeral services for Tammy Marie Holley, age 45, will be held Friday, February 10, 2012 at 12:00 PM in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Haynesville, LA with Rev. Charles Garner officiating.

Visitation will begin Friday at 10:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Holley was born July 1, 1966 in Homer, LA to Rickey and Hilda Marie Vines Copeland and passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in Shongaloo, LA. She was a lifelong resident of this area, a member of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Ervin Holley of Shongaloo, LA; children, Jennifer Holley of Shongaloo, LA; Tiffany McKinnon and husband, Mike of Magnolia, AR; Amanda Garner and husband, Tyler of Shongaloo, LA; Jeremy Holley of Haynesville, LA; grandson, James McKinnon; mother and step-father, Hilda and Hollis Vail of Haynesville, LA; sisters, Karen Suris of Tampa, FL, Sonya Phillips of Durmont, AR; brother, Garland Vail of Tampa, FL and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Holley was preceded in death by her father and sister, Teresa Dixon.

Nevella Garland Kilpatrick

June 18, 1918 - May 6, 2012

Funeral services for Mrs. Nevella Garland Kilpatrick, age 93, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Whitehall United Methodist Church with Rev. John Korlaske and Rev. Bryan Dauphin officiating. Burial will be in the Whitehall Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Haynesville, LA.

Visitation will be Tuesday 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Bailey Funeral Home in Haynesville.

Mrs. Kilpatrick was born June 18, 1918 in Leton, LA to John Wesley and Mary Lee Robinson Garland and passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 in Haynesville, LA. She was a faithful member of the Whitehall United Methodist Church, was a homemaker and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 67 years, Weldon Kilpatrick, on April 28, 2007; her parents; brother, J. O. Garland and sister, Theadis Knox.

She is survived by sons, Weldon Wayne Kilpatrick and wife, Tommie Sue of Haynesville, LA; Howard Hershel Kilpatrick and wife, Sue of Benton, LA; grandchildren, Tonya Gallaspy and husband, Lee; Sonya Sims and husband, Buddy; Scott Kilpatrick and wife, April; Shane Kilpatrick and wife, Kristen and Shannon Kilpatrick; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Caroline, Grant, Megan, Anna Grace, McCala, Dayton, Wesley, Kaylee and Khloe. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.

Kelsie Putman "Bootie" Jenkins

August 25, 1951 - September 9, 2011

Funeral services for Mrs. Kelsie Putman Bootie Jenkins, age 60, will be held Monday, September 12, 20ll at 10:00 AM in Unity Baptist Church with Bro. Scotty Guillot officiating. Interment will be follow in Cotton Valley Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Cotton Valley, LA.

Visitation will begin Sunday at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Unity Baptist Church, Cotton Valley, LA.

Mrs. Jenkins was born August 25, 1951 in Hope, AR to Kelsie Lueneil and Lousie Huckabee Putman and passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 in Minden, LA. She was a resident of Cotton Valley, LA, a member of Unity Baptist Church and a retired hairdresser. Mrs. Jenkins loved to play Kismit with Judy Maxwell every Saturday and cattin around with Kristy Jackson. She will be dearly missed by all her family and many friends.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Johnny Ray Jenkins of Cotton Valley, LA; daughter, Jodi Shaw and husband, Eddie of Dubberly, LA; son, Johnny Reed Jenkins and wife, Dina of Cotton Valley, LA; mother, Louise Huckabee Putman of Springhill, LA; grandchildren, Hayden Jenkins, Peyton Jenkins, Addisyn Jenkins, Zac Shaw; brother, Mike Putman and wife, Dianne of Springhill, LA; sister, Mina Cannon and husband, Tim of Springhill, LA and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by father; her sister, Tony Putman Reeves and nephew, Chance Cannon.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Robertson, Ronnie Hennigan, Trey Maxwell, Trent Maxwell, Donald Beck and Putt Putman.
