Donald Ray “Donnie” Ball, age 59, of Bernice, LA, formerly of El Dorado passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 in his home. Donnie was born November 2, 1953 in El Dorado, AR.
He was preceded in death by his Dad, James E. Ball, Sr. and his Granny, Lula Mae Murray.
He is survived by his son, Donavin Ball; two daughters, Misty Ponder and Brandi Kay Ball; two sisters, Kay Nicholson; Diane McMullan and Randy; two brothers, James “Jim Bo” Ball and Joann; Ricky Ball and Tonya; his mother, Eloise Glover and step-dad, George Glover, two grandsons, Noble Ball and George Donavin Ball; extended family members and a host of friends.
Donnie will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00am Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. J.D. Weido officiating and Bro. Johnny Adkins assisting. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
William "Billy" Kendall Anderson

Funeral services for Mr. William Billy Kendall Anderson, age 79, will be held Friday, December 31, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bill Searight officiating, assisted by Rev. Kathleen Hignight. Interment will follow in Plain Dealing Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Plain Dealing, LA.
Visitation will begin Thursday at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Bailey Mortuary, Plain Dealing, LA.
Mr. Anderson was born October 10, 1931 in Emerson, AR to James Floyd and Ruth Rogers Anderson and passed away December 28, 2010 in Bossier City, LA. He was a lifelong resident of this area, a faithful member of the Cottage Grove Memorial Presbyterian Church and a retired merchant from Winham Grocery after 34 years. Mr. Anderson was also a US Air Force veteran and active in civic and community activities. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joy Winham Anderson; son, David Anderson and wife, Norma of Plain Dealing, LA; daughters, Cindy Dodson and husband, G.M. of Plain Dealing, LA, Ginger Roberson and husband, David of Bossier City, LA; five grandchildren, Jason Anderson and wife, Melissa, Jennifer Underwood and husband, Jimmie, Jeremy Dodson and wife, Casey, Cameron Roberson, Kacie Roberson; six great grandchildren, Courtland, Cain, Tanner, Tyler, Tate, Hollis Ann; brothers, James Donald Anderson and wife, Beverly of Plain Dealing, LA, Charles Edward Anderson and wife, Madeline of Bossier City, LA, Sidney Allen Anderson and wife, Beth of Plain Dealing, LA; sister, Freda Winham of Plain Dealing, LA and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jason Anderson, Jeremy Dodson, Cameron Roberson; nephews, Andy Anderson, Jimmy Anderson and special friend, Keith Wheeler. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Heifner, Eddie Chandler, Freddie Chandler and Jim Strayhan.

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Pilgreen Crumpler, age 66, will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. B. R. Loftin officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Minden, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will begin Tuesday at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Mrs. Crumpler was born November 15, 1946 in Minden, LA to Roy Dee and Ava Grant Pilgreen and passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012 in Bossier City, LA. She was a lifelong resident of this area, a member of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. Mrs. Crumpler was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Mack Crumpler of Sarepta, LA; her children, Kevin McCall and wife, Wendy of Heflin, LA, Melinda Hennigan and husband, Glenn of Ringgold, LA; sister, Linda Pilgreen Suman and husband, David of Cool Ridge, WV; grandchildren, Brittany McCall, Destiny Butler, Shelby Hennigan, Hunter Hennigan, Lucas Ingle, Garrett Ingle, Cort Lee; step-daughters, Jeri Lynn Lee of Bossier City, LA, Sue Ann Ingle and husband, Marty of Taylor, AR and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Crumpler was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Mr. Alton W. Lewis, age 62, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 18, 2011 at New Sarepta Baptist Church, Sarepta, LA with Rev. Mike Richardson and Rev. Ronald Morgan officiating. Burial will be in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Shongaloo, LA with Masonic graveside rites, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Bailey Funeral Home
Mr. Lewis, a lifelong resident of this area, died Friday, April 15, 2011 at his home. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Springhill and was owner/operator of The Off Spring catering business in Springhill. He was the former owner of Indian Run Restaurant in Shongaloo for nine years; had a used car lot and was a bus driver for the Bossier Parish School System. He was a Mason and member of the Shongaloo Masonic Lodge #352 F&AM; member of the Shriners El Karubah Temple and an avid outdoorsman loving hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ebber Adair and Modell Ferguson Lewis; sister, Shirley Fair; brothers, Jerry Lewis and Talmadge Lewis.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Betty Hardaway Lewis of Springhill; children, Shanna Malone and husband, Brad of Plain Dealing, LA; Justin Lewis and wife, Razene; and, Julie Lewis, all of Sarepta, LA; grandchildren, Ethan Farrington, Austin Lewis, Chance White, Gauge Malone and Ramzee White; brothers, Jesse Lewis of Magnolia, AR; Marvin Lewis and wife, Ann of Ivan, LA; Nolan Lewis and wife, Ava Jo of Springhill; LA; Curtis Lewis and wife, Mary of Magnolia, AR; Delmar Ray Lewis & wife, Debbie of Benton, LA; Bobby Dale Lewis of Cullen, LA and a host of nieces and nephews.

Virginia was born February 20, 1949 to David Daniel and Lula Ada Wheless Morgan and passed away Monday, July 2, 2012 in Minden, LA. She was a lifelong resident of this area, a member of the Baptist faith and a baker at the SPARC Bakery, Sarepta, LA.
She is survived by her father; sister, Margie Inez Blanton of Springhill; brother, Clyde Morgan and wife, Deborah of Cotton Valley and a host of nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by her mother, brother, Richard Douglas Morgan and sister, Elaine M. Cook.

Graveside services for Mrs. Melba Ruth Payne Johnston, age 85, will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Whitehall Cemetery with Rev. Jerry West officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Haynesville, LA.
Visitation will begin Monday at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Johnston was born July 30, 1927 in Grove, LA to Rufus Braxton and Lola Lillian Sellers Payne and passed away December 9, 2012 in Homer, LA. She was a lifelong resident of this area, a member of Woodland Church of Christ and a homemaker. Mrs. Johnston was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy Duke and husband, Doug of Gladewater, TX, Jan Gass and husband, Lee of Kilgore, TX, Rita Coker and husband, G.M. “Jr” of Ivan, LA; brother, Everett Payne and wife, June of Leton, LA; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Johnston was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Johnston in 1996 and sister, Bobbie Benefield.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gregory Newton, Gregg Austin, David Johnston, Brock Hines, Calvin McKenzie and Kim Keen.
