Funeral services for Mrs. Geraldine S. Wolfe, age 88, will be held Friday, December 21, 2012 at 10:00 AM in Walnut Road Baptist Church with Rev. Jake Vanderburg officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will begin Thursday at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wolfe was born September 13, 1924 in Thornton, AR to David Crockett and Ada Edna Underwood Sparks and passed away December 18, 2012 in Sugarland, TX. She had been a resident of Springhill for 65 years and had moved to Sugarland, TX in November, 2012. Mrs. Wolfe was a member of Walnut Road Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She is survived by daughter, Cathleen W. Holland and husband. J.C. of Sugarland, TX; sons, Gerry Wolfe and wife, Dixie of Austin, TX, Arthur Wayne Wolfe and wife, Rodonna of Mesquite, TX; grandchildren, Kelly Wolfe, Donna Wolfe, Emily LaBree and husband, Kevin, Nathan Wolfe; great grandchildren, Taylor, Reggie; brother, Calvin Sparks of Sparksman, AR and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Wolfe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years, James A. “Bear” Wolfe; five brothers and two sisters.

Serving as pallbearers will be Casey Carter, Bill Carter, Jr, Mark Schildroth, Jeff Harper, Darlye Watson and Jake Vandenburg. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.

Dorothy Branton Patton

March 18, 1924 - July 29, 2011

Funeral services for Dorothy Marie Patton, age 87, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Union Springs Non-Denominational Church, Shongaloo, LA with Rev. Charles Garner officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Springs Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Sunday at Bailey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Patton, a native and former resident of this area, died Friday, July 29, 2011 in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shreveport and was a retired nurse. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ron Patton and her parents, Marion M. and Addie Mae Martin Branton.

She is survived by a son, Jack Crace and wife, Emily of Shreveport, LA; daughter, Patricia Crace Turner and husband, Cleve of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Wes Turner and wife, Brandi of San Diego, CA; Andrea Jacobs and husband, Loren of Austin, TX; step-grandchildren, Stephanie Christy and husband, Brad of Prosper, TX; Brian Glorioso and wife, Sarah Beth of Asia; step-great-grandchildren, Madison and Jacob Christy, Micah, Zion, Isaac and Adiel Glorioso; brothers, Parey Branton and wife, Georgia of Shongaloo, LA; Harold Branton and wife, Elsie of New Caney, TX; sister, Mutelle Thompson of Springhill and several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Wes Turner, Loren Jacobs, Cleve Turner, Daniel Branton and Parey Branton Jr.

Allen Lamar Matlock
12/28/1934 - 11/02/2012

Funeral services for Mr. Allen Lamar Matlock, age 77, will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 4, 2012, in the Plain Dealing Baptist Church, Plain Dealing, LA, with Bro. Chad Hardbarger officiating and Bro. James Hill assisting. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery, Plain Dealing, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Matlock was born on December 28, 1934 to Alton "Zeke" and Nannie "Jack" Windsor Matlock in Plain Dealing, LA and passed away on Friday, November 2, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. He was a member of Plain Dealing Baptist Church and loved the oil industry, retiring from Universal Oil Products after 35 of service. Mr. Matlock enjoyed gardening, garage and estate sales, traveling, tractors and working with his hands. He was a loving, husband, father and Papaw.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Ann Chandler Matlock; children, Barry Matlock and Kim Ingram, who was very special to Mr. Matlock, Victor Matlock and wife, Carol, Liz Matlock, all of Plain Dealing, LA; five grandchildren, Kelsey Matlock of Shreveport, LA, Courtney Matlock and Wayne Dick of Plain Dealing, LA, Victor Matlock, Jr. of Shreveport, LA, Dillon Pourteau of Oklahoma City, OK, Triston Matlock of Plain Dealing, LA; great-granddaughter, Kinlee Jo Dick of Plain Dealing, LA; brother, Roger Matlock and wife, Audrey Lee of Atlanta, TX and brother-in-law, Alvin Johnston of Plain Dealing, LA.

Mr. Matlock was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Judy Chandler Johnston; father-in-law, Cecil Chandler and mother-in-law, Jessie Malone Chandler.

LaJuana Langley
August 9, 1941 - July 9, 2012

LaJuana Faye Tilley Langley, age 70 of Amite, Louisiana passed from this life on Monday, July 9, 2012 at her home in Amite. She was born on August 9, 1941 in Castor, LA to the late Elan and Mattie Tilley. Mrs. Langley was a native of Webster Parrish, LA and was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church in Kentwood, LA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Paul Langley; one sister, Gwen Reeves; and one brother, Gary Tilley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Wayne Levelle Langley of Amite, LA; three sons, Dennis Langley of Raleigh, NC, Stephen Langley of Amite, LA and Christopher Langley of Germantown, MD; one brother, Thomas Tilley of Hallsville, TX; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at The Three Creeks Baptist Church with Rev. James Sparks and Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Old Sarepta Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday evening, at Bailey Funeral Home in El Dorado.

Pallbearers will be her nephews; Robert Allen, Gary Wilson, Donnie Allen, Royce Allen, Jimmy Wilson, Barney Moix, Brian Langley, Glen Wilson, Pete Moix, Rickey Goodnight, Colin Langley and Jimmy Langley.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Spring Creek Baptist Church building fund, 72937 Hwy 1061 Kentwood, LA 70444 or to Three Creeks Baptist Church.

Hazel Pickett Rayburn

September 4, 1928 - November 21, 2012

Homer, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Pickett Rayburn , age 84, will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 24, 2012, at the Holly Ridge Assembly of God Church, Haynesville, LA, with Bro. Doug Fulenwider and Bro. Rodney Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Haynesville, LA.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 23, 2012 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rayburn was born on September 4, 1928 to George and Mamie Young Pickett in Plain Dealing, LA and passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in Homer. She was a member of Holly Ridge Assembly of God Church, retired from Piggly Wiggly as a baker.She loved to crochet, work crossword puzzles, and was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Rayburn is survived by her daughter, Donna Tannehill and husband Perry of Springhill; sons, Mike Rayburn and wife Pat of Haynesville, Rodger Rayburn and wife Brenda of Lisbon, LA; a host of granchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; brother, George Pickett of Springhill; sister, Maxine Brown of Springhill, numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mrs. Rayburn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rev. Don Rayburn; and grandson, Michael Don Rayburn.

Visitation will begin Friday at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church.

Ms. Todd was born October 5, 1963 in Shreveport, LA to Jerry Gerome and Nancy Jane Dison Bailey and passed away suddenly October 16, 2012 in Sibley, LA. She had been a resident of Sibley for the past four years and was a former resident of Haynesville. Ms. Todd was a member of the Assembly of God Church and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her significant other, Rodger Lewis of Minden, LA; daughters, Donita Lalisa Vines and husband, Aaron of Haynesville, LA, Ashley Robinette of Haughton, LA; sons, D.J. Bailey, Michael Woods, Brandon Lewis, all of Minden, LA; nine grandchildren, Alex Bailey, Summer Bailey, A.J. Vines, Lillie Vines, Kyle Vines, Nevaeh Vines, Paton Wren, Christian Lewis, Caden Lewis; her parents; sister, Tina Waggoner of Fort Smith, AR; brother, Jerry Wayne Bailey of Haynesville, LA and a host of nieces and nephews.
