EZILDA THERESA ‘ZIL’ JOHNSON-GRAY
Ezilda Theresa “Zil” Johnson -Gray, 77, a native and resident of Morgan City, died Friday, April 23, 2010, at 11:20 p.m., at her residence.
Visitation will be Friday, April 30, from 10 a.m. until funeral at 1 p.m., at New Zorah Baptist Church in Morgan City. interment will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Zil leaves to mourn her passing three sons, Frank (Brenda) Gray Jr. of Allen, Texas , Kerry Louis Gray and Lonnie (Jada) Gray of Morgan City; four daughters, Barbara Gail Byers, Rhonda Lee Madise and Lora Mickens, all of Morgan City, and Mrs. Craig (Colleen) White of Patterson. She raised two of her grandchildren as her own, Shamika Francios and Donald Gray, both of Morgan City, and she also raised Dave Johnson Jr., O’Neil Jesse Johnson and Andrea (Winkie) Welsh as her own.
She also leaves to mourn her passing her 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; a godchild, Theresa Wallace, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Gray Sr.; and 13 siblings.

CALVIN JOHNSON SR.
Calvin Johnson Sr., 78, a native of Berwick and a resident of Morgan City, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Teche Regional Medical Center at 7:58 a.m.
Visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Home Chapel Thursday, Feb. 10, from 9 a.m. until memorial service at 1 p.m. Calvin’s remains will be cremated.
Calvin leaves to cherish his memories a son, Calvin Johnson Jr. of Morgan City; a daughter, Angelee Johnson of Morgan City; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a daughter.

SARA MAE JOHNSON
Mrs. Sara Mae Gibson Johnson , 67, a resident and native of Baldwin, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at 6:10 a.m., at Meadowbrook Specialty Hospital in Lafayette following a short illness.
She is survived by companion, Wybro Jack of Jeanerette; and three sisters, Mercedes Gibson of New Orleans, Emma Dell Gibson Johnson of Baldwin and Mable Gibson Williams of Houston, Texas .
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters and four brothers.
Visitations will be observed Sunday, May 9, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Otis Mortuary Chapel and also on Sunday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Special Providence Baptist Church in Baldwin.
Burial rites will be read Monday, May 10, at 1 p.m., at that church, with the Rev. W.J. Otis officiating. interment will follow in the Special Providence Cemetery.

ETHEL J. JOLIVETTE
Ethel J. Jolivette, 58, a resident of Lafayette, died Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 6:25 a.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 1, at Jones Funeral Home, Inc. Chapel in Franklin, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. funeral service. Burial will follow in the Sorrell Community Cemetery.
Ethel leaves to cherish her memories a son, Clarence (Lynn) Jolivette III of Lafayette; four sisters, Hilda Colbert, Rev. Donald “Ella” Stacy, Pastor Robert “Shirley” Jones Purvey, all of Four Corners, and Boretha Pouncy of Houston, TX; two grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

STANNIE C. JONES
Mrs. Stannie Bell Chatman Jones, 79, a resident and native of Berwick, died Thursday, June 14, 2007, at 11:15 p.m., at her residence following a short illness.
She is survived by one adopted son, Darrell C. Sanders of San Antonio, Texas ; one adopted daughter, Linda Francis of Berwick; one sister, Lillian Chatman of Berwick; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters.
Visitations will be observed Friday, June 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Mason United Methodist Church in Berwick.
Burial rites will be read Friday, at 1 p.m., at that church. The Rev. Elaine Smith will officiate. interment will follow in the Berwick Cemetery.

JOHNNY JONES JR.
Mr. Johnny Jones Jr., 73, a resident and native of Franklin, died Thursday, December 6, 2007, at 9:07 p.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette following a short illness.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Barbara Thomas Jones of Franklin; three daughters, Lawanda Burrell and Connie Harris of Franklin and Jauanita Solete of Houston, Texas ; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitations will be observed Thursday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Otis Mortuary Chapel in Franklin.
Burial rites will be read Thursday, at 1 p.m., at the mortuary. The Rev. Willie Jackson will officiate. interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.

DONALD JOSEPH JONES
Donald Joseph Jones, 73, a resident of Hammond and native of New Iberia, died Monday, March 1, 2010, at 2:35 a.m., at Landmark Nursing Care in Hammond.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. The Veteran Funeral Squad will perform graveside services.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 4 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Fitzgerald Cemetery
in Centerville.
Donald is survived by his two daughters, Mrs. Matt (Sonja) Curry of Akron, Ohio and Mrs. Glenn (Francine) Todd of Sante Fe Spring, California; two sons, Christopher (Rebecca) Jones of Whittier, California and Phillip Jones of Norwalk, California; a brother, Ananias Hershel Jones of Orlando, Florida; four grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents.

LUCY LUKE JUNCA
Mrs. Lucy Luke Junca, 96, a native of Centerville and a lifelong resident of Verdunville, died Wednesday, August 22, 2007, at 11:10 p.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Saturday, August 25, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Thomas Habetz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Junca is survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as her main caregivers, nieces, Marvel L. Baudoin and Margie L. Hebert, nephew, Camille (Butsy) Hebert; and also two of her dearest friends, Joe Vaughn and Beatrice Sanders; as well as many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rene M. Junca; her parents, Sidney Luke and Regina Chiles Luke; three brothers, Raymond, Clifford and Frederick "Dutch" Luke; and two sisters, Irene L. Hebert and Regina Luke.
Mrs. Junca was an active member of the St. Joseph’s Ladies Altar Society and the Kings Daughters, of which her mother was a charter member. She was also a contributing member of the Republican Party and was listed in the Senatorial Inner Circle and the American Task Force.

ANTHONY JOHN KRISTICEVICH
Dec. 19, 1923 ~ August 25, 2010
Mr. Anthony “Taco” John Kristicevich, 86, a native of Morgan City and a resident of Charenton, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, at 1:40 a.m., at the Iberia Extended Care Hospital in New Iberia.
Mr. Kristicevich is survived by his wife, of 64 years, Jewel Stevens Kristicevich of Charenton; three sons, Stephen Kristicevich and his wife, Cyndi, of Charenton; Craig Kristicevich of Charenton; and Chris Kristicevich and his companion, Carolyn Simoneaux of Charenton; two daughters, Sharon Dugas and her husband, Ted, of Loreauville and Tina Clements and her husband, Curtis, of New Iberia; two sisters, Joan Kristicevich and June Fortier; 13 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Joseph and Alice White Kristicevich; three brothers; six sisters; and one grandson, Brian Dugas.
The family requests that visitation be observed Saturday, August 28, from 9 a.m. until time of services at the Immaculate Conception Church in Charenton.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, at 11 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charenton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
