Alice P. McDonald, 76

Centerville - Alice P. (Murphy) McDonald, 76, died Nov. 25, 2001, at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
She was the wife of Edward J. McDonald for 47 years.
Born in Jamaica Plain, Mrs. McDonald attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
She moved to Hyannis from Dedham in 1970, and to Centerville in 1978.
Mrs. McDonald was an avid golfer at Hyannis Country Club and a longtime member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis and Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville.
Surviving besides her husband are three sons, Edward J. McDonald III of Foxboro, David W. McDonald of Centerville and Kevin P. McDonald of Tewksbury; and three grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville.
Burial was in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Margaret McRae, 93

West Yarmouth - Margaret (Ward) McRae, 93, a resident of West Yarmouth and formerly of West Hyannisport, died Nov. 25, 2001, at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late James F. McRae.
Born and raised in Cambridge, Mrs. McRae graduated from Cambridge High & Latin.
She worked at Wydner Library at Harvard University in Cambridge for several years before marrying and becoming a homemaker.
She lived in Somerville for more than 30 years before moving to Arlington for a brief time. She moved to Cape Cod in 1981.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville and a member of its Women's Guild.
Mrs. McRae enjoyed baking, knitting and crossword puzzles.
Surviving are two sons, James McRae of Kiowa Island, S.C., and Donald McRae of Bethel, Conn.; two daughters, Patricia E. Hannon of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Mary Robinson of Cotuit; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Alan McRae.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville. Burial followed in Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1115 W. Chestnut St., Brockton, MA 02401.

Philip Ainslie Neagle, 76

Mashpee - Philip Ainslie Neagle, 76, a resident of Mashpee and formerly of Centerville, Braintree and Newton, died Nov. 27, 2001, at his home.
He was the husband of Norma Evans Neagle of Mashpee.
Mr. Neagle graduated from Newton High School and entered the Navy in 1942. He attended Northeastern University after his discharge and then became a draftsman and engineer at Raytheon.
His career took him to TRW in Los Angeles, Calif., from 1956 to 1957. Upon returning to Massachusetts, he joined Sigma Instruments and was instrumental in the design of light-sensitive streetlight controls.
After a long career in engineering and computer-aided manufacturing, he retired as a senior systems analyst from FleetBoston Financial in 2000.
Mr. Neagle was a self-taught maker of Nantucket lightship baskets. His work was displayed at many juried shows, and he developed his own designs for hand baskets, lamps and wine caddies.
He enjoyed golf and served as secretary and a member of the board of directors of Cummaquid Golf Club from 1995 to 2001. He was formerly a member of the New Seabury Country Club and the Cohasset Country Club.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Barry Neagle of Cotuit and Chris Neagle of Cumberland, Maine; two stepsons, Dr. Ira Evans of Manchester-by-the-Sea and William Evans of Boston; a stepdaughter, Dr. Tracy Evans Luiselli of Carlisle; a brother, George Neagle of Acton; a sister, Nancy Fremont of Lenox; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service was held at John-Lawrence Funeral Home in Marstons Mills.
A private burial will be held at a later date in Wells, Maine.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cape Cod, 923 Route 6A, Yarmouthport, MA 02675; or to The Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund, The Golf House, 190 Park Road, Weston, MA 02493-2256.

Miriam F. 'Mimi' Sinnott, 75

Yarmouthport - Miriam F. "Mimi" (Brown) Sinnott, 75, a resident of Yarmouthport, died Nov. 26, 2001.
She was the wife of the late Frank M. Sinnott Jr.
Born, raised and educated in Weymouth, Mrs. Sinnott lived in Duxbury before moving to Barnstable Village in 1953.
She worked at a number of places, including the Barnstable News Store in Barnstable Village and Harney's in South Dennis. She retired in 1987.
Mrs. Sinnott moved from Barnstable to Yarmouthport. She lived briefly in Orleans before moving back to Yarmouthport.
She was a Worthy Advisor of the Rainbow Girls in Weymouth, a member of the Eastern Star, Mattacheese Chapter on Cape Cod and a member of the Yarmouth Fire Belles.
Mrs. Sinnott traveled extensively in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra L. Marsh of Harwich and Janet Hart of Yarmouthport; a son, Richard M. Sinnott of Pepperell; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was the longtime companion of the late Richard D. Rich.
A funeral was held in the Hallett Funeral Home in South Yarmouth. Burial was private.
Memorial donations may be made to the Yarmouth Firefighters and Relief Association, Inc. Rescue Fund, 96 Old Main St., South Yarmouth, MA 02664.

Elizabeth Sprague, 80

East Sandwich - Elizabeth (Wood) Sprague, 80, a longtime resident of East Sandwich, died Nov. 21, 2001, at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston.
She was the wife of the late Edward M. Sprague.
Born in Chateaugay, N.Y., Mrs. Sprague graduated from Chateaugay High School and The Augensberg State Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a nurse at Bellevue Hospital in New York City and Cape Cod Hospital.
For many years, she ran the Cape Cottages and Motel in East Sandwich. She and her husband operated the sport-fishing boat, Apache, in Barnstable Harbor and Fort Pierce, Fla.
She was an avid card player and gardener.
Surviving are several nieces, including Eileen Sprague Mead and Beth Sprague, both of North Falmouth, Janet Anderson of Warren, Conn., Carolyn Phillips of Litchfield, Conn., and Donna Maguire of Cotuit; and several grandnieces and grandnephews, including Tracy Fleet and Carolyn Barrette, both of Sandwich.
A funeral was held at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home in Sandwich, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery there.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Kathleen Trudel, 35

Brandon, Fla. - Kathleen (Lane) Trudel, 35, a resident of Brandon and formerly of Barnstable, died Nov. 22, 2001, after a brief illness.
She was the wife of David Trudel.
Born in Barnstable, Mrs. Trudel moved to Florida in 2000.
She was a child-care provider for McDill A.F.B. Child Development Center and Fish Hawk Early Learning Center, and a Catholic.
Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Heather and Stephanie.
A service was held at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home in Brandon.

Irene T. Turner, 74

Hyannis - Irene T. (Hanlon) Turner, 74, a resident of Hyannis, died Nov. 28, 2001, at her home.
She was the wife Richard B. Turner, who died in 2000.
Born in Chelsea, Mrs. Turner was a graduate of St. Rose School.
She worked as a supervisor for the former Shawmut Bank, now Fleet Bank, for more than 40 years.
Mrs. Turner lived on the Cape for the last 20 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope Chapel in West Barnstable.
Surviving are three sisters, Jacqueline Hanlon of West Yarmouth, Mary Olsen of Canton and Nancy Halas of Wilmington; a brother, William Hanlon of Venice, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was in Our Lady of Hope Chapel. Burial was in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Hope Chapel, 230 S. Main St., Centerville, MA 02632.
