Marie E. Williams, 51

Cape Coral, Fla. - Marie E. (Capelle) Williams, 51, formerly of Cotuit, died Oct. 21, 2002, in Cape Coral.
She was the wife of Stephen Williams of Fort Myers.
Born and educated in Worcester, she moved to Cape Cod in 1973. She lived on the Cape until 1995, when she met her husband and moved to Fort Myers.
Mrs. Williams enjoyed working with the public, crafts, creating porcelain dolls and designing Web sites.
Besides her husband, survivors include her mother, Rose I. Capelle of Hyannis; a son, Anthony "Tony" Capelle of West Hyannisport; a brother, David Capelle of Worcester; two granddaughters; an aunt; five nieces; a nephew; and many cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2 Whites Path, South Yarmouth, MA 02664.

Caroline Elizabeth Brown, 84

Hyannis - Caroline Elizabeth (Allen) Brown, 84, a resident of Hyannis, died July 14, 2002, at the Cape Cod Hospital Extended Care Community - Pavilion in Hyannis.
She was affectionately known as "NeNe."
Mrs. Brown graduated from Nauset High School in Orleans and Danford Dunbar School in Worcester.
Her career included employment with Raytheon and Colonial Candle Co., both in Hyannis.
In 1970, she received a commendation from the Cape Cod Homemaker Service for her "2,051 hours of service to her community; for immeasurable affection, outstanding devotion and service to the aging, ill and troubled of Barnstable County." After retiring in 1980, she began a new and busy career with a real estate management firm on Cape Cod.
Survivors include a son, Roy Brown of Centerville; two daughters, Kathrine Brown of Manchester, N.H., and Carole Perley of Hyannis; a brother, Paul Allen of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Kathrine Allen of Philadelphia, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at West Parish Church in West Barnstable.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.

John Patrick 'J.P' Doherty, 30

Osterville - John Patrick Doherty, 30, a resident of Osterville, died July 18, 2002, at Brigham & Women's Hospital.
He was the husband of Arline P. (Kallenberg) Doherty.
Born in Paris, France, Mr. Doherty grew up in Hyannis and attended Barnstable schools. He was a 1989 graduate of Barnstable High and attended Massachusetts Bay Community College.
He had always worked in the restaurant business. In the mid-1990s, he worked for the Iguana Cantina in Waltham and moved back to the Cape in 1999. He worked as a bartender for the last three years at Sam Diego's in Hyannis.
He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed golf, loved animals, fishing and spending time with his family.
Besides his wife, survivors include two sons, Hunter Patrick Doherty and Chase William Doherty; his mother, Ramona L. (Sanders) Doherty of Hyannis; two sisters, Terry L. Ashley of Centerville and Mary Lee Finch of Hyannis; two brothers, Theodore L. Doherty III of Natick and Mike S. Doherty of Maryland; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville.
Memorial donations may be made to the memorial fund for the children of J.P. Doherty, c/o Cape Cod Five, 1620 Falmouth Road, Centerville, MA 02632; or the MSPCA, 1577 Falmouth Road, Centerville, MA 02632.

Noella Marie Gelinas, 59

Hyannis - Noella Marie Gelinas, 59, a resident of Hyannis, died July 19, 2002, at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
Born in Newport, R.I., she moved to Hyannis in her youth. She was a graduate of Barnstable High School and attended Perry Normal School in Boston. She enjoyed cooking, music, arts and crafts, and being her family.
Survivors include a sister, R. Lorraine Hughes of Hyannis; two brothers, Theodore Gelinas of Hyannisport and Leonard Gelinas of Ohio; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis, with burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the National Alliance of Mentally Ill, 5 Mark St., Hyannis, MA 02601.

Rita T. Goveia, 68

Centerville - Rita T. (Haley) Goveia, 68, a resident of Centerville, died July 12, 2002, at her home.
She was the wife of Stephen C. Goveia of Centerville.
Mrs. Goveia was born in Lowell. She graduated from Lowell General Hospital in 1954 as a registered nurse.
She worked as a registered nurse at Lowell General Hospital, Brighton Marine Public Health Hospital, the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jamaica Plain, Fort Devens Army Hospital; as a camp nurse at Camp Wing/Duxbury Stockade in Duxbury, Camp Woonsockett in Jaffrey, N.H., Camp Child in Manomet and Camp Squanto in Plymouth; and as a school nurse for the town of Barnstable.
Mrs. Goveia was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church, where she served as a Eucharistic minister and was active in youth ministry.
She was also active in ECHO of Cape Cod. She was a member of the Cape Cod Nurses Association.
Besides her husband, survivors include a son, Stephen W. Goveia of Mashpee; two daughters, Lisa M. DiPalma of Franklin and Laurie J. Goveia of Centerville; a brother, Frederick J. Haley of Lowell; three sisters, Ruth M. Quealy of Lowell, Patricia J. Hall of Peabody and Gabrielle M. McEvoy of Westford; two grandsons; and a granddaughter.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape Cod, 270 Communication Way, Hyannis, MA 02601; or to the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Cape Cod, 434 Route 134, South Dennis, MA 02660.

Serge Nicholas McKhann, 64

Osterville - Serge Nicholas McKhann, 64, a resident of Fall River and formerly of Osterville, died July 12, 2002, at the Highlander Nursing Home in Fall River.
Mr. McKhann was born in Boston. He was a 1960 graduate of Harvard University and worked as a marine sales representative for NETSEA.
He was a resident of Osterville until February of this year, when he moved to Fall River. He was a past member of the Wianno Yacht Club in Osterville.
Survivors include his former wife, Mary McKhann of Waitsfield, Vt.; a daughter, Dr. Heather I. McKhann of Paris, France; two sons, Serge N. McKhann Jr. of Rumford, R.I., and Christopher A. McKhann of Bristol, Vt.; two brothers, Dr. Charles F. McKhann of North Haven, Conn., and Dr. Guy M. McKhann of Baltimore, Md.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in August at a time to be announced.

Jason S. Montero Romero, 10 months

Hyannis - Jason S. Montero Romero, 10 months old, died unexpectedly July 12, 2002, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Born in Hyannis, he was the son of Edgar B. and Blanca (Romero) Montero of Hyannis. He was the grandson of Segundo and Carmeglina Montero, and Maria and Antonio Romero, all of Ecuador.
He is also survived by an aunt and uncle, and a cousin.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis. Burial was in Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit.

Vincent Morgan Murray Sr.

Centerville - Vincent Morgan Murray Sr., a resident of Centerville, died July 15, 2002, at the Greenery in Hyannis.
He was the husband of Mary F. (McSherry) Murray for 49 years.
Mr. Murray was born and raised in Boston and attended Boston Latin High School. He joined the Navy and was stationed in Hawaii during World War II.
Upon returning, he attended Boston University receiving a degree in economics. He worked for Eastman Kodak for more than 25 years.
He was an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling.
Besides his wife, survivors include a son, Vincent M. Murray Jr. of Providence, R.I.; Susan. F. Murray, of Providence, R.I.; and two nieces.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville. Burial followed in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

Christian H. Pape, 22

Centerville - Christian Hudson Pape, 22, a lifelong resident of Centerville, died unexpectedly July 15, 2002, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He graduated from Barnstable High School three years ago.
Remembered for his compassion, he was an emergency medical technician for the Cape Cod Ambulance and was known to sit in the back of an ambulance and speak calmly to scared or elderly people.
He had plans to attend University of Massachusetts to become a radiologist.
His ambition was also recognizable as he worked as a waiter at two Hyannis restaurants.
Survivors include his mother, Cathy (Wells) Pape of Centerville; his father, John Pape of Eastham; and a sister, Charity Page of Centerville.
A memorial service was held at the First Baptist Church in Hyannis.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heifer Project International, 1015 Louisiana , Little Rock, AR 72202.
