Janet A. Sullivan-Baldner, 89

Centerville - Janet A. (Dolan) Sullivan-Baldner, 89, a resident of Centerville, died Nov. 28, 2002, at Cape Cod Hospital Extended Care Pavilion after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late John Baldner. She was also the former wife of the late Mark J. Sullivan.
Mrs. Sullivan-Baldner was born in Charlestown. She grew up and attended school in Randolph, graduating from Stetson High School. She had been a resident of Randolph for many years before moving to Centerville 17 years ago.
She worked for the Department of Social Services in Norwood, retiring in 1984. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville and an ecumenical minister at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
Surviving are four sons, Mark Sullivan of Falmouth, Edward Sullivan of New Hampshire, John Sullivan of Braintree, and David Sullivan of Walpole; four daughters, Maryanne Akins of Falmouth, Janet Blakely of Florida, Jean Barrett of Mansfield and Judith Howard of Maine; three stepsons, Ned Baldner of Yarmouth, John Baldner Jr. of Barnstable, and Richard Baldner of Centerville; four brothers, Vincent Dolan of Arlington, Philip Dolan of Becket, Arthur Dolan of Maine and Robert Dolan of California; 42 grandchildren; and 64 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Mary's Church in Randolph, with burial following in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Freda B. Bowen, 83

Hyannis - Freda B. Bowen, 83, of Hyannis died Dec. 11, 2002, at her home after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Donald "Abe" Bowen for 44 years.
Born in Stoneham, Mrs. Bowen graduated from Stoneham High School.
She lived in Hyannis for most of her life. For many years she was a waitress, working at the Red Coach Grill, the Mayflower Restaurant and the Captain's Table. She later owned and managed the Centerville Pastry Shop, which was known for its chicken, clam and fruit pies.
She is survived by a son, Donald C. Bowen Jr. of Hyannis. She was also the mother of the late Donna C. Bowen.

Thomas J. Fallon Jr., 85

Osterville - Thomas J. Fallon Jr., 85, a resident of Osterville and formerly of Milton, died Dec. 7, 2002.
He was the husband of the late Katherine E. (Lauinger) Fallon.
Mr. Fallon was born in Boston and educated in the Boston public school system. He was a graduate of Boston English High School. He worked for the Metropolitan Boston Transit Authority (MBTA) for 37 years, retiring as a superintendent.
Mr. Fallon was a charter member of the MBTA Pensioners Club and a member of the Hyannis Elks #1549.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia L. Paradise of Milford, N.H., and Kathleen M. Brennan of West Brookfield; a son, Thomas J. Fallon III of Norfolk; three brothers, Edward F. Fallon of Milton, William F. Fallon of Lexington and John L. Fallon of Dennis; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Agatha's Church in Milton. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Linda Louise Fontneau, 59

Barnstable ­Linda Louise (Crocker) Fontneau, 59, a resident of Barnstable, died Dec. 16, 2002, of pancreatic cancer at her home surrounded by her family and friends.
She was the wife of Richard Thomas Fontneau, who died of cancer in 1982.
Mrs. Fontneau was born in Hyannis and raised in Barnstable Village in the home where her late father, David Loring Crocker, was born. She graduated from Barnstable High School in 1961, and from Fisher Junior College in 1963 with an Associate Science degree. She worked briefly at Ginn & Company Publishing in Boston.
From 1964 to 1968, Mrs. Fontneau was secretary to the sales director at the Buzzards Bay Gas Company, which changed to Colonial Gas and is now Keyspan. From 1968 to 1984, she worked as a part-time caterer with Jeannette Bowes Catering in addition to working as the secretary of the Unitarian Church of Barnstable from 1975 to 1984. From 1984 to 2002, Mrs. Fontneau was employed by Infinium Software, formerly Software 2000, working her way up from receptionist to assistant to the president and CEO.
Mrs. Fontneau co-founded the Cape Cod Division of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in 1977. She was the former secretary of the Cape Cod Ski Club; former treasurer, Hyannis East Elementary Parent Advisory Council; former member, Curriculum Committee of Barnstable High School and a former member of the Hyannis Yacht Club.
Mrs. Fontneau's deep love and respect for her father's kindness, strength and fortitude shone in her life every day: from her love of Cape Cod, its many charming villages ­especially Barnstable Village ­its harbors, beaches and marshes and its people. She treasured the love, respect and comfort of her life-long friends. She was very proud of her children and lovingly devoted to granddaughters Maeve and Grace.
She is survived by her mother, Louise Aileen (Wallace) Crocker of Barnstable; a son, Daniel Richard Fontneau of Los Angeles, CA; a daughter, Karen Elizabeth (Fontneau) Hickey of West Barnstable; grandchildren Maeve Elizabeth Hickey and Grace Aileen Hickey, and two nephews and three nieces. Her sister, Elizabeth Crocker Liszezak, died of multiple sclerosis in 1978 at the age of 33.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Dec. 21 at Our Lady of Victory Church on Main Street in Centerville. The burial will be private.
Memorial donations may be made to the Barnstable Fire Department, P.O. Box 94, Barnstable, MA 02630 and to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape Cod, 270 Communications Way, Hyannis, MA 02601.

Louann Frimodig

Somers, Conn. - Louann Frimodig, who leaves family on Cape Cod, died Dec. 5, 2002, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, from coronary arterial disease.
She was the wife of Robert Frimodig for 46 years.
Mrs. Frimodig was born in Hyannis. She was a 35-year member of the Somers Women's Club.
Surviving besides her husband are a daughter, Donna Brozoski of Churchville, Pa.; two sons, David Frimodig of Orford, N.H., and Robert Frimodig Jr. of Vernon, Conn.; two brothers, Frederick Seaman of Pineville, La., and Frank Seaman of Hyannis; two grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held at the Somers Funeral Home in Connecticut. Burial was in Somers Center Cemetery.

Peter P. Jeannetti Sr.

Centerville - Peter P. Jeannetti Sr., a resident of Centerville for the past 14 years, died unexpectedly Dec. 7, 2002, at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
Mr. Jeannetti was born in Hyde Park, where he lived for 29 years. He had also resided in Dedham.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he received a Victory Medal.
Following the war, he was employed as a deliveryman for A&P Supermarkets, retiring 25 years ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Joan R. Zarthar of Centerville; three sons, Peter P. Jeannetti of Norwood, John J. Jeannetti of Foxboro and Dan F. Jeannetti of Stoughton; two sisters, Susan Stanton of Norwood and Delores Giannetti of South Weymouth; a brother, Rudolph Giannetti of Centerville; seven grandchildren; and his former wife, Barbara T. (Gallagher) Botaish.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's Church in Dedham. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery in Hyde Park.

Adelaide A. Medeiros, 76

Hyannis - Adelaide A. Medeiros, 76, a resident of Hyannis, died Dec. 8, 2002, at the Cape Cod Hospital Extended Care Community Pavilion.
She was the wife of the late Higino Medeiros for 17 years.
Mrs. Medeiros was born and raised in Fenais Da A Juda Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, and moved to the United States in 1975 with her husband. She liked spending time with her family and enjoyed traveling and visiting friends.
Surviving are a brother, Francisco DeMelo Ambara of Portugal; two sisters, Edite DeMelo Ambara and Ernestina DeMelo Ambara, both of Portugal; a stepson, Gil Raposo of Hyannis; four stepdaughters, Eulalia Furtado of Hyannis, Judy Lima of Hyannis, Maria Kelley of Hollywood, Fla., and Carmelia DaSilva of Centerville; and 14 stepgrandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville, with burial in St. Francis Cemetery in that village.

Glennis Alice Pitchford, 60

Centerville - Glennis Alice (Lewis) Pitchford, 60, a resident of Centerville, died unexpectedly Dec. 5, 2002, in Mexico.
She was the wife of Roy Pitchford for 38 years.
Mrs. Pitchford was born in Abbey Hulton, England, and raised and educated in England. In 1970 she and her husband immigrated to the United States, settling first in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and then on Cape Cod in 1979.
Mrs. Pitchford was employed as a caretaker by Gentiva in Yarmouth for more than 13 years.
She enjoyed belly dancing, was active with a local instructor and performed for area charities. She was devoted to her family.
Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Julie Ann Lincoln of Sandwich and Amanda Jane Pitchford of Brewster; a brother, Graham Lewis; four sisters: Mavis Molecroft, Sandra Pilkington, Janet Dean and Doreen Dunn, all of England; four grandchildren; and five nieces and three nephews.
A funeral was held in the Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home in Hyannis.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Cape and Islands Chapter, 720 Main St., Hyannis, MA 02601.

Ruth M. Rodrick, 78

Centerville - Ruth M. (Levings) Rodrick, 78, a resident of Centerville, died Dec. 7, 2002, at Cape Cod Hospital Extended Care Community-Pavilion in Hyannis after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late John F. Rodrick.
Mrs. Rodrick was born, raised and educated in Rockland and was a 1942 graduate of Rockland High School. She was a longtime resident there, moving to Centerville in 1966.
She worked for 23 years at the Craigville Conference Center, retiring as head housekeeper in 1991. After her retirement, she enjoyed volunteering at Cape Regency Nursing Home in Centerville and at Cape Heritage Nursing Home in Sandwich. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church.
Surviving are two sons, Brian F. Rodrick of Centerville and Jon J. Rodrick of Hooksett, N.H.; two brothers, Stanley Levings of Mashpee and Wendell Levings of Digsby, Nova Scotia; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville. Burial was in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
