Mary E. Baxter, 98
PLAINVILLE - Mary E. Baxter, 98, of Cottage Street died Sunday, April 27, 2003 in Life Care Center of Attleboro.

She was the widow of Raymond Baxter.

Born May 1, 1904 in Sommerville, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Lydia (Rogers) Coverly.

Mrs. Baxter has been a resident of Plainville most of her life and also lived in Norton and the Baxter's Four Corners section of North Attleboro, where she ran a hot dog stand for several years.

She retired at age 65 as a supervisor for Buxton Box after 50 years there, she later worked for McGill Box during her retirement and received a Presidential Citation for that work.

Mrs. Baxter was a member of the Plainville United Methodist Church and a member of the auxillary grange at the church. She was an avid antique, stamp and coin collector. She was also an avid bingo and casino player.

She is survived by great-great-grandnephews: Ryan Bedard, Aaron Bedard, Daniel Smallidge; great-great-grandnieces, Ashley Smallidge and Rebecca Cook; many nieces, nepews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnices, great-grandnephews, great-great-grandnieces and great-great-grandnephews.

She was sister fo the late George Coverly, Edna Bunyon, Doris Johnson, Harriett Chamillard and Rhoda Riley.

A funeral was held from the SPERRY & McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro on Thursday, May 1 at 10 a.m. followed by a service in the funeral home at 11 a.m. The Reverend John Grenfell officiated. An interment service followed in Mt. Hope Cemetery & Arboretum, Attleboro Falls.

Rhea Y. Lizotte, 87
SEEKONK - Rhea Y. Lizotte, 87, of Seekonk, formerly of North Attleboro died Thursday, April 24, 2003 at Life Care Center in Attleboro.

She was the widow of Edward Lizotte.

Born February 14, 1916 in Attleboro, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Delia (Dargie) Cameron. Mrs. Lizotte was educated in Attleboro and lived in North Attleboro for 60 years prior to moving to Seekonk in 1996.

She enjoyed knitting and made many items for the Council of Aging volunteer program. She also enjoyed gardening and spent much time cultivating her vegetable patch.

She leaves a son, Richard Lizotte of Plainville and two daughters, Marjorie Chapman with whom she resided and Nancy Reed of Attleboro;

a brother, Gerard Cameron of Plainville; two sisters, Theresa Iacuzzi and Pauline Ray of Attleboro; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was sister of the late Maurice, Arthur, Ernest, Wilfred "Chibby", Robert and Roland Cameron, Lillian Hoagland and Gloria Souliere.

A funeral was held from the SPERRY & McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro on Monday, April 28 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Church Street, at 10 'clock.

Visiting hours were held Sunday afternoon, April 27 from 2 - 4 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Community Visiting Nurses Agency, 141 Park Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.

Rev. Thomas F. Motherway, 60
WEST YARMOUTH - The Reverend Thomas F. Motherway, 60, of Muscovy Lane, formerly of Dorchester died Monday, April 21, 2003 in Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis.

Born June 7, 1942 in Newton, he was a son of the late Thomas F. and Martha (Dally) Motherway. He Grew up in Newton.

Father Motherway graduated from St. Sebastian's Country Day School, 1960 in Newton and later graduated from Boston College in 1964 where he received a BA in Business Administration. He then entered St. John's Seminary in Brighton, graduating in 1969 and was ordained at Holy Cross Cathedral in Boston on May 21, 1969.

Father was an assistant at St. Ambrose Parish in Dorchester from 1969 - 1973; an associate pastor at St. Ann's Church in Peabody, St. Mary's in Lynn, St. Bernadette's in Randolph and temporary associate pastor at Our Lady of the Lake in Monponsett.

Father was associate pastor at St. Margaret's Parish in Dorchester from 1983 until an automobile accident in 1985. In October of 1998 he went on permanent disability. He has been a resident of West Yarmouth since 1971.

He was survived by many cousins and his valets Peter and Shawntay DeBarros of Marstons Mills, MA.

A funeral was held on Saturday, April 26 at 10 a.m. in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes church, Newton Upper Falls, Archbishop Richard Lennon was the primary celebrant. Burial followed in St. Marys Cemetery, Needham.

Visting hours were Friday evening, April 25 from 5-8 p.m. in the McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 354 Adams Street, Dorchester.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rev. Thomas F. Motherway Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Spillane Law Offices, 1212 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA 02169.

Jeanne E. Savage, 80
Retired TI Supervisor
NORTH ATTLEBORO - Jeanne E. Savage, 80, of No. Washington St., No. Attleboro, died on Sunday, April 20, 2003 in her home. She was the wife of the late Charles Savage.

Born June 13, 1922 in Central Falls, RI, she was the daughter of the late Alcidas and Antoinette (Brin) Plouffe.

Mrs. Savage lived in No. Attleboro most of her life and was a graduate of Sacred Heart Elementary
School in North Attleboro. She was employed as a supervisor at Texas Instruments, Attleboro for over 13 years before retiring 20 years ago.

She loved camping, doll collecting, traveling and various games. She was an avid card player and enjoyed playing in tournaments.

She is survived by 7 children: Elaine Floyd of Plainville; Charlene Fontneau of New York; Debbra Floyd of Port St. Lucie, FL; Linda Corrigan of FL; Bud Savage of No. Attleboro; Bryon Savage of Brockton; Holly Verardo of Lincoln, RI; and the late Betty Issler. A Sister: Theresa McCracken of FL. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service was held in the SPERRY & McHOUL FUNERAL HOME,15 Grove St., No. Attleboro on Thursday, April 24th at 10 O'clock. Rev. Vincent Nagle officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Visiting was Wednesday, April 23rd from 5 - 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Community Visiting Nurses Agency; 141 Park St.; Attleboro; MA 02703.

Sam Melnyczuk, 85
Providence - Sam Melnyczuk, 85, of Parkis Ave., died Sunday April 13, 2003 in the Slater Heatlh Center, Pawtucket, RI.

Born December 12, 1917 in Ukraine, he came to the United States in 1954 residing in Providence for the past 49 years.

Mr. Melnyczuk was a cable man with American Inuslated Wire, Pawtucket for over 30 years before
retiring at the age of 65.

He is survived by a godson, Frank Nyskohus of No. Attleboro.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 17 at 10:00 a.m. in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Mt. Hope St.,
No. Attleboro. Rev. Katrina Clinton of the First Congregational Church in North Attleboro officiated.

Helen L. Lemaire, 82
NORTON - Helen L. Lemaire, 82, of Norton died Friday April 4, 2003 in her home. She was the wife of the late Fred Lemaire and the late Robert E. Paige.

Born May 1, 1920 in Scituate, RI she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Annie (Salisbury) Peckham.

Helen had been a resident of Norton since 1948. She grew up in West Bridgewater and Brockton. She was employed as a cafeteria worker at Norton High School for 18 years before retiring in 1980.

Helens interest included painting, collecting antiques, and traveling. She had a santa claus collection and also a coin collection which she loved.

Her survivors include a son Jan Lemaire of Norton and a daughter Kristine Hancock of Norton; two sisters Edna Powers of Taunton and Alma Johnson of Brockton; and 1 grandson.

She was the sister of the late Alberta Hill, the late Elsa Johnson, and the late Lottie Peckham.

A celebration of life was held in the Trinitarian Congregational Church, on the corner of Pine and East Main St., Norton on Saturday April 12, 2003 at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society; South Regional Center; 1115 W. Chestnut St. Suite 301, Brockton, MA 02401 or the Community Visiting Nurse Agency; 141 Park St.; Attleboro, MA 02703.

Helen Leboeuf, 71,
ATTLEBORO -- Helen Leboeuf, 71, of Sixth Street, a retired switchboard operator, died Monday, April 7, 2003 at home. She was the widow of Eugene Leboeuf.

Born in Pawtucket on Jan. 12, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Appollonia Hull. She had been raised in Pawtucket and had resided in Attleboro for nearly 50 years. She had attended the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing.

Mrs. Leboeuf had worked for Miriam Hospital in Providence for over 30 years.

She had enjoyed gardening and swimming.

She is survived by two sons, Claude Leboeuf of Warwick, R.I., and Guy Leboeuf of Attleboro; two daughters, Margot Calpin of Attleboro and Faye Leboeuf of Cranston, R.I.; two brothers, Joseph Hull of South Attleboro and John Hull of Cumberland; two sisters, Stephanie Podgurski of Cumberland, R.I., and Mary Carr of Providence; and four grandchildren.

She was the mother of the late Tod, Marc, and Claude Leboeuf.

Services are private.

Arrangements are by the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove St., North Attleboro.

Joseph Sarris, 87, business owner
MANSFIELD -- Joseph H. Sarris, 87, a Millis business owner, died Monday, April 7, 2003 in the Caritas Norwood Hospital, Norwood. He was the widower of Margaret (McGirr) Sarris.

Born in Woonsocket, R.I., on March 2, 1916, he was the son of the late George and Agnes (Keegan) Sarris. He had been raised in Millis and was a graduate of Boston College High School, Boston. He received a bachelor of arts degree in 1938 the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester.

Mr. Sarris founded the Central Equipment Co. of Millis, a provider of police equipment.

He was a member of St. Mary's Church.

He is survived by two sons, Joseph Sarris Jr. of Medway and Paul Sarris of Marion; two daughters, Judith Morris of Oswego, N.Y., and Jean Cole of Mattapoisett; and three grandchildren.

A memorial Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt St. Burial is private.

Ronald J. Pinsonnault, 58
NORTH ATTLEBORO - Ronald J. Pinsonnault, 58, a longtime resident of North Attleboro died Tuesday, November 25, 2003 in Brockton Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was the former husband of Nancy (Donley) Tatelbaum of Pennsylvania .

Born June 24, 1945 in Attleboro, he was a son of the late Roger and Emily (Colitto) Pinsonnault.

Mr. Pinsonnault was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving the U.S. Navy. He had worked for the Foxboro Company several years.

In addition to his ex-wife, survivors include three sons, Mark of North Attleboro, Richard and Gary Pinsonnault of Pennsylvania ; and a brother, Albert Pinsonnault of Fall River.

A funeral will be held from the SPERRY & McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro on Thursday at 8 a.m. followed by a Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Church Street at 9 O’clock. Burial with veteran’s honors will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.
