— Of Hanson, Aug. 5, 2003, age 95, Nelson E. "Pop," beloved husband of the late Lillian (Dunne) Williams; loving father of Ronald J. Williams of Venice, Fla., and Robert H. Williams and Connie Webb, both of Halifax; also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visiting hours in the Leighton-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 4 West Washington St. (corner of Rte. 58), Hanson, on Friday 5-8 p.m. Services Saturday morning in the funeral home at 10. (Stone) Burak; father of Linda Gretton, Kevin Burak and Brenda McGinn; brother of Josephine Oliphant, Mary Stafford and Anthony Burak; also survived by six grandchildren, Brian and Jeffrey O'Neill, Matthew and Mary Burak, and Ryan and Elizabeth McGinn. Norma C. (Howard), of Rockland, Sept. 28, 2003, age 65, mother of Kenneth M. Gurney of Rockland, Pamela J. Dumas of Brockton and the late Earl J. Gurney; dear friend of Wally Quackenbush; sister of Helen Vouldren, Phyllis O'Neill, Betty Coombs and Ruby Martell; also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Charlotte Louise (Milton) Frye, age 68 years, mother of Charles M. Frye (and wife Misty), Christopher M. Frye and Elizabeth L. Frye; grandmother of Alex and Seth Frye; sister of Robert and Stanley Milton. A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Community Covenant Church, 400 Pleasant St., East Bridgewater. Visitation will be on Saturday from 4n8 p.m. in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton.

GONSALVES
Of Carver, Sept. 30, 2003, Maurice "Pee Wee," 69, companion of Jackie Lloyd Rodriguez; stepson of Janie Gonsalves; brother of Louise Texeira, Nathaniel and George Gonsalves.

Shirley (Hough), of Weymouth, age 71, Sept. 30, 2003, beloved wife of 50 years to William L. Goodwin; devoted mother of William L. Goodwin Jr. of Pawtucket, R.I., Wayne M. of East Bridgewater, Thomas A. of Wakefield and Paul D. of Las Vegas, Nev.; loving sister of Gerald Hough of Buzzards Bay, Marjorie Spada of Brockton, the late Joseph N. and the late William P. Hough Jr.; also survived by five grandsons, one granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. Nickerson of Manomet and the late Wayne S. Nickerson; also survived by 25 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. PRESTON
Deborah Ann Preston, 35, of 105 Avenel Lane, Clayton, N.C. died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, after an extended illness. She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, where a funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2003. Burial will follow in Apex Cemetery. Deborah is survived by her daughter, Hayley Preston of Clayton; parents, Osvaldo deFaria and Leonilde of Abington; sisters, Marlise Sa of Brandon, Fla., Suzette DeFranco (and husband Michael) of Hillsborough, N.C.; brothers, Osvaldo deFaria Jr. (and wife Elaine) of Weston, Fla., Franklin deFaria (and wife Jennifer) of Hoboken, N.J., Steven deFaria (and wife Kristine) of Malden; nine nieces and nephews. Her pet, Shanene, also survives Deborah. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at Apex Funeral Home, 511 West Williams St. (Hwy. 55), Apex.
