— In Norwood, after an extended illness, Grace E., Oct. 2, 2003, lifelong resident of Stoughton, age 78 years, beloved daughter of the late Robert L. Cochrane and Gladys M (Ward). Left to mourn by cousins, Alta Carey (Bill), Grace Durant (William), Marilyn Dewar (Jack) and their families in Canada. She was predeceased by cousins, Dwight Kinsman, William Kinsman, Harold Kinsman and Doris Jacques; also the Flaherty family, who were all a great part of her life, especially Linda. Her funeral service will be on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at 11 a.m. from the First Methodist Church, 103 Pleasant St. (Rte. 139), Stoughton, with the Rev. Henry K. James officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. — Helen B. (Labute), 83, of East Bridgewater died Sunday after a period of failing health. Born in Dedham, she was the loving wife of Alverdo (Dody) Whooten. Mrs. Whooten raised her family in Hyde Park and retired from the National Shoe Co. of Dedham. She had a passion for baking and enjoyed family card games. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Shirley Kelley of Florida, Jeanne McAuley of East Bridgewater and Patricia Fandel of Walpole; two sons, Wells Whooten of Norton and Paul Whooten of Middleboro; a brother, Girard Labute of Mashpee; two sisters, Joanne Martini of Mashpee and Lillian Boyan of Medway; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
