HERBERT
— Mary "Pat" Whalen Herbert, passed away Aug. 11, 2004, in Livermore, Calif. Born Feb. 18, 1936, in Boston, Pat was a loving wife to Richard E. Herbert Sr. for 43 years; a devoted mother of Richard Jr., Matthew, James and William. Pat is survived by her two sisters, Betty Nolan and Rita Sheehan, both of Massachusetts. She is also grandmother to four cherished grandchildren, Thomas, Chelsea, Lindsey and Stephanie. Among many of her joys in life were traveling, arts and crafts and time spent at the ocean. Pat touched many lives with her gentle spirit, positive outlook, unique friendships and sense of humor. Pat is preceded in death by her mother, father and brother. Visitation is scheduled for Aug. 17 4-8 p.m. with the vigil beginning at 7 p.m. both at the Chapel of Callaghan Mortuary, 3833 East Ave., Livermore, Calif. Mass to be held Wednesday, Aug. 18, 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Livermore, Calif. Burial to follow service at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Livermore, Calif. — Aug. 12, Chief Ervin Gardner "Whitey" Lothrop, age 80 years, of West Bridgewater, husband of Diana (Perkins) Lothrop; father of Brian Lothrop and Sandra Lothrop-Graves; grandfather of Adam Lothrop-Graves; brother of Marietta Kent; stepfather of Ruth and Thomas.
