Of Brockton, Aug. 29, Benedict P., age 67, beloved husband of Patricia A. (Lalli); brother of Alexander J. Gureckis of West Bridgewater; brother-in-law of Carol Gureckis of West Bridgewater, Lucia DelPico of Brockton and Eddie Lalli of Bridgewater; uncle of Paul, Peter, Alexander and David Gureckis, Laurie Flamos, Kimberly and Daniel DelPico, Eddie Lalli and Judy Lynch. Of Brockton, Aug. 29, 2004, Edith M. "Edie" (Payne) (Krebs) Hannan, 80 years, wife of the late Leo Hannan; mother of Ronald Krebs and his wife Mary of Middleboro and the late Gerard Krebs. Funeral service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rt. 123), Brockton, Thursday at 6 p.m. The Rev. Michael P. Fruth will officiate. Janet T. (Tinker), 92, of Stoughton, wife of the late Winston P.; mother of David of Cambridge and John P. (and his wife Linda) of Easton; sister of Rebecca Taylor of Virginia, Joseph Tinker of Maine and the late John Tinker, Robert Tinker and Charlotte Tinker; grandmother of Christopher, Kathleen, Kevin and Molly Hebb. Of Holbrook, suddenly, Aug. 27, 2004, Sean Robert "Seanie" Joyce, loving son of John and Deborah (Mackie) Joyce; devoted brother of Ryan Joyce of Holbrook, Lisa Gelman of Brockton and the late John F. Joyce III; dear grandson of Barbara Mackie of Raynham and the late William R. Mackie and John F. and Anne Joyce; also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 South Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Holbrook, until 10:15 a.m. on Friday, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church in Holbrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Doris E. (Babcock), of Middleboro, formerly of Braintree, on Aug. 27, 2004, beloved wife of the late Edmund C. Ladd; devoted mother of Douglas C. Ladd of Middleboro, E. Bradley (E.B.) Ladd of Braintree and Richard W. Ladd of Barnard, Maine; loving grandmother of 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Doris was predeceased by her 12 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services at the Heritage United Methodist Church, 236 Grove St., Braintree, on Thursday, Sept. 2, at 9 a.m. Rev. Hailani Chan-Williams will officiate. Visiting hours at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth, on Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. If desired, donations may be made to the Heritage Methodist Church, 236 Grove St., Braintree, MA 02184.

Bradley M., of Stoughton, age 3, accidentally, Aug. 28, beloved son of Kenneth J. and Lisa M. (Catherall); loving brother of Jonathon J. and Morgan E.; grandson of Bennett and Kathleen (Mohamet) Catherall of Foxboro and the late Joseph and Alice (Rodericks) Lessa; great-grandson of Ruth Catherall of Foxboro; nephew of Mark Catherall of Mansfield and Brenda Sjoquist and her husband Cliff of Stoughton; also survived by three cousins and extended family. Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Thursday at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton, at 10:15. (Belmore), 91, Aug. 26, 2004, mother of Julianne Cummings of East Wareham, James Nagarya of Brockton and Joseph Nagarya of Boston; grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of 19; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Old St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in Bridgewater. Joseph B. of Scituate, Aug. 25, 2004, age 74, husband of the late Diane E. (Wierzbicki) Santini; father of Marcus Santini of Randolph, Cheryl Santini of Connecticut, Nina Santini of Connecticut and Jay Santini of Rockland. Eugene P., of Carver, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at the Oak Hill Nursing Home in Middleboro at the age of 88. He was the husband of Margaret E. (Peters) Souza; father of the late Eileen Freeman and Eugene Souza; grandfather of Joelle Souza of Florida, Ralph Freeman of Connecticut, John Freeman of Virginia, Teresa Boucher of Carver, Mona DeAngelo of Canton, David Freeman of Carver and Jeffrey Freeman of Canton; also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St. (Rt. 58), Carver. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Friday, Sept. 3, 2004, at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Carver at 10. Owens, Madeleine, (Duncklee), of Carver, Aug. 27, 2004, age 97 years, beloved wife of the late William Alexander and Bernard J. Owens; loving mother of Mabel Owens "Belle" Wilson of Carver, Philip J. Owens (and his wife Barbara) of Georgetown, Texas , and the late Wayne David Owens; sister of Lynette Tulloch of Connecticut, the late Ruth Sukeforth Perkins and George Duncklee; also survived by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday in Central Cemetery, Carver, at 11 a.m. Dr. Roger D. Haber of Central Baptist Church will officiate. In Brockton, Aug. 29, 2004, Leo J., husband of the late Pauline (Towns) Battistini, residence, Roosevelt Circle in Easton, formerly of Raynham; father of Ginny Sheedy of Norwell, Dino Battistini of Tampa, Fla., and Raymond Battistini of Eureka, Mo.; grandfather of Dean Battistini of Tampa, Fla., Kimberly and Jessica Battistini of Eureka, Mo., Michelle Speroni of Falmouth, Tina Battistini of Mashpee and Jenna, Stephanie, Jonathan and Tyler Sheedy, all of Norwell; great-grandfather of four.
