Pauline LaMothe
1925 - 2001
Pauline B. LaMothe, 75, of Barrington, RI, died June 19, 2001, in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, after a sudden illness.
Born in Manchester, NH on November 16, 1925, she was the daughter of Joseph Tellier and Mabel (Savoy) (Tellier) McNichol.
In her early years, Mrs. LaMothe lived in Manchester, NH. She resided in Warren and Bristol, RI for forty years before moving to East Providence, two years ago.
Mrs. LaMothe attended Manchester, NH Schools.
Before her retirement in 1988, she was a technician with Raytheon Corporation for twenty years.
She was a communicant of Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, Warren, Rhode Island.
Mrs. LaMothe wintered in Naples, Florida for many years.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was married to Richard P. LaMothe for fifty-two years. He died August 18, 2000.
Family members include a son, Richard P. LaMothe of Somerset, MA; three daughters, Pamela A. White of Barrington, RI, Paulette St. John of Warren, RI, and Joan E. Nevins of Barrington, RI; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. John (Rita M.) Healy of Manchester, NH; several nieces, nephews, aunts; and cousins.
Services: There are no calling hours.
A memorial mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, June 25, 2001, at 11 AM in Saint Anthony Church, 172 Belmont Street, Manchester, NH.
Urn burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester, NH.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rose Hawthorn Home, 1600 Bay Street, Fall River, MA, 02720.

Madeline McLane
1917 - 2001
Madeline M. (Horan) McLane, 84, of Manchester, NH, died September, 10, 2001, at Catholic Medical Center, after a period of failing health.
Born in Manchester, NH on April 4, 1917, she was the daughter of Denis F. and Margaret (Murphy) Horan. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Mrs. McLane graduated from Manchester High School Central, Class of 1934.
In her early years, Mrs. McLane worked as a legal secretary with the McLane Law Firm and later spent her life as a homemaker.
She was a longtime communicant of Saint Catherine Church.
Mrs. McLane was a loving and devoted wife and mother whose family was the center of her life. She was an avid and accomplished bridge player.
She was married to Thomas F. McLane for forty-four years. He died January 4, 1990.
Family members include her daughter, Mrs. Edward (Katherine M.) McCarthy of Londonderry, NH; three brother, Rev. Denis Horan of Nashua, NH; Rev. John Horan of Hudson, NH; Ret. Navy Capt., Robert Horan of Virginia Beach. VA; a sister, Katherine Wood of Santa Monica, CA; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces; grandnephews and cousins.
Services: Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 8 pm in Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH.
The funeral will be held Friday at 10: 15am from the funeral home followed by a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11 am in Saint Catherine Church, Manchester, NH.
Burial will take place in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Bedford, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Therapeutic Living Center for the Blind, 7955 Lindley Ave, Reseda, CA, 91335.

Geraldine Jarest
1928 - 2000
Geraldine C. Jarest, 72, of Park Street died Thursday, August 24, 2000 at her home after a lengthy illness.
Born in Wilton, NH on August 4, 1928, she was the daughter of Wilfred and Mildred (Sullivan) Champagne. She lived most of her life in Wilton and was a 1946 graduate of Wilton High School. She had been employed by the Abbott Worsted Mills and Hitchiner Mfg. for many years and retired from the Care Hospital for Animals in Milford where she was a veterinarian technician for ten years. She was well known for her love of animals, especially cats. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish of Wilton and the Wilton Lioness Club. She was the widow of Alfred J. Jarest Sr. who died in 1980.
Members of her family include two daughters, Brenda R. Jarest and Diane M. Jarest both of Wilton, one son, Alfred J. Jarest Jr. of Milford, six grandchildren and one sister Mrs. Armand (Marie) Theriault of Wilton and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Sunday evening, August 27, 2000 from 6: 00p.m.- 9: 00 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home, 32 Maple Street, Wilton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 28, 2000 at 10: 00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church, Maple Street, Wilton. Burial will follow in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wilton.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter, (F.M.A.S.) P.O. Box 393, Manchester, NH 03105.
The Nelson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

James M. Gilmore, 19
NORTH ATTLEBORO - James M. Gilmore, Airman 1st Class, USAF, age 19, of North Attleboro died Saturday morning, June 2, 2001 near Mobile, Alabama as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident.
Born December 16, 1981 in Attleboro, he was a son of Mark S. and Susan (Ross) Gilmore of North Attleboro.
He was a lifelong resident of North Attleboro and a graduate of North Attleboro High School, Class of 2000.
An Airman 1st Class in the United States Air Force, he was stationed at the Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi for the past six months. He completed his basic training at the Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas .
He was a student of the 332nd Training Squadron at the Advanced Technological Avionics Training School at Keesler Air Force Base, majoring in communications and navigation systems.
He was a communicant of Saint Mary's Church in North Attleboro and a prior alter server there.
He was an avid camper, working three summers at Camp Resolute in Bolton, Massachusetts.
He was a past member of the North Attleboro Little League, playing on teams from Hash through the Babe Ruth level and was active in the Boy Scouts, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
Besides his parents, survivors include a brother, Steven Gilmore of home; two sisters, Erin and Ashley Gilmore, both of home; grandparents, Ralph and Donna (Dagosta) Gilmore of North Attleboro; great-grandparents, Gertrude Dagosta of North Attleboro and Helen Ross of South Carolina. He was also survived by many aunts, uncle, cousins and friends.
He was a grandson of the late Doris (Ringuette) Ross.
A funeral will be held from the SPERRY & McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro on Saturday, June 9 at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Park Street, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday evening, from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BSA Troop 32, c/o North Attleboro Federal Credit Union, 31 North Washington Street, North Attleboro, MA 02760.

James M. Gilmore
GILMORE - of No. Attleboro, June 2, 2001, James M. "Jimmy", USAF Airman 1st Class, in an automobile accident in Alabama. He was the son of Mark S. and Susan M. (Ross) Gilmore of No. Attleboro. Brother of Erin, Steven, and Ashley Gilmore, all of home. Grandson of Ralph and Donna (Dagosta) Gilmore of No. Attleboro and the late Doris (Ringuette) Ross. Great-grandson of Gertrude Dagosta of No. Attleboro and Helen Ross of So. Carolina. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was an Eagle Scout and graduate of North Attleboro High School Class of 2000. A funeral will be held from the SPERRY & McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro on Saturday, June 9 at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Park Street, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Attleboro Falls. Bertha Beyersdorfer, 102
Founder of A & J Tool and Findings
PLAINVILLE - Bertha Beyersdorfer of East Bacon Street died early this morning, April 12, 2001 at the age of 102 in Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the wife of the late Albert Beyersdorfer.
Born May 11, 1898 in New Haven, CT, she was a daughter of the late Bertha and Karl Schmidt.
Mrs. Beyersdorfer has been a resident of Plainville most of her life and along with her husband founded A & J Tool and Findings in 1944 in North Attleboro. They moved the business to Plainville in 1950 where it is still run by her family. She also worked at Whiting and Davis many years ago.
Her survivors include a daughter, Hope Bryant of Plainville; a son, Albert “Jack” Beyersdorfer of Plainville; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held from the SPERRY & McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro on Friday, April 13, 2001 at 9 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. Burial followed in Plainville Cemetery.

Mary Alice (Grein) Burriesci, 89
Stafford Springs, Connecticut - Mary Alice (Grein) Burriesci, 89, of Stafford Springs, CT died Thursday, May 3, 2001 at Evergreen Health Care Center in Stafford Springs, CT.
She was the wife of the late Nicholas Burriesci.
Born July 26, 1911 in Brentwood, NY, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Margaret (Cast) Grein.
Mrs. Burriesci grew up in Bronx, NY and was a resident of Stafford Springs for the past year and a half, previously residing in Bristol, CT for 10 years.
She was a homemaker most of her life and an avid knitter.
Her survivors include two daughters, Eleanor Gabree of Sebring, FL and the Reverend Maryalice Sullivan of North Attleboro. She was also survived by 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was mother of the late Delores Tacy and Charles and Robert Terrell.
A memorial service was held in Grace Episcopal Church, 104 North Washington St., No Attleboro on Saturday, May 12 at 11 a.m. Burial took place in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace Episcopal Church Capital Fund, 104 North Washington St., North Attleboro, MA 02760.
Arrangements are provided by Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home.
