Richard “Richie” Paul Gomes age 46 years of Brockton, MA died unexpectedly Monday, April 28, 2008 at his home.
Born Sunday, August 13, 1961 in Boston, MA he was the son of Mary R. (Rodrigues) Gomes of Brockton and the late Jose Gomes.
Richie has live in Brockton since 1973 and had been a long time member of Lighthouse of Faith in Christ Jesus Church in Brockton. He enjoyed sports, movies and music and loved fashion, dressing and especially loved his family.
In addition to his mother Mary he is survived by four children Richard A. Gomes of Boston, Derrick P. Gomes of Pawtucket, RI, Tanita Gomes of Pawtucket RI and Renita Grandberry of Denver, CO; four grandchildren Jesiah Gomes, Jesanie Gomes, D’Nerah Gomes and Deanna Gomes; his brother and sisters Joey Gomes of Brockton, Mina Gomes of Baltimore, MD, Anna Ford of Plano, TX, Cindy Gomes of Taunton, Danny Gomes of Taunton and Eugenio Gomes of Brockton; a stepsister Miza Lopes of Brockton; stepfather Gus Lopes of Brockton; long time companion and best friend Rhonda Adams of Brockton and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday May 3, 2008 at 9:00 AM at Lighthouse of Faith in Christ Jesus Church, 65 West Elm St. Brockton, MA. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Wareham.
Visitation will take place on Friday, May 2, 2008 from 5-9 PM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton, MA.

Barbara J. (Silipo) Mallett

At: First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brockton, MA
Barbara J. (Silipo) Mallett age 51 years passed away Sunday at her home following a long battle with cancer. She was the wife of 30 years of David E. Mallett.
Born in Brockton she was the daughter of Roberta (Steele) Smith of Florida and the late Richard G. Smith. Barbara was a graduate of West Bridgewater High School Class of 1974; she attended the Vespar George Art School in Boston and also graduated from Springfield College. She was the program director for the East Bridgewater YMCA and also for the YMCA of Cape Cod. Barbara also served as the program director for the Supportive Adult Day Program for the Bourne Council on Aging and the general manager of the Club Fit Health Club in West Bridgewater. She enjoyed sail boating, traveling, and bike riding on Cape Cod Canal and was a lover of animals. She was also a life long member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brockton.
In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Campbell and husband Adam of Halifax, a son, Jeffrey Mallett of Bridgewater, a step-son, James Mallett and wife Jennette of Plymouth, a brother, David R. Silipo and friend Karen Rasnick of Marshfield and a granddaughter, Allison Campbell. As well a two aunts and a cousin.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday May 29 at 1:30 pm at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church 900 Main St. Brockton. Cremation will follow the service and interment will be at a later date in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-8pm in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton, MA.
Memorial gifts may be made to the First Evangelical Lutheran Church 900 Main St. Brockton, MA 02301 or The Old Colony Hospice, One Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.

Grace W. (Basden) Gatt

Grace W. (Basden) Gatt age 90 years of Middleboro, MA died Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Island Terrace Nursing Home in Lakeville, MA after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Frank H. Morse for 30 years and had 11 children. She was also the wife of the late Francis Gatt.
Born Saturday, August 12, 1917 in Easton she was the daughter of the late Joseph T. and Margaret G. (Buckley) Basden.
Grace was a longtime resident of Bridgewater and had moved to Middleboro in 1995.
She is survived by her children Margaret Somes of West Bridgewater, Gloria Sullivan of West Bridgewater, Grace McCarthy of Brockton, Cindi Minkle of Middleboro, Lea Hathaway of Bridgewater, Bette Gisetto of Middleboro, Fred Morse of Taunton and Linda Osborne of Middleboro; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She also raised her granddaughter Sheila Libby of Middleboro and was the mother of the late Frank Morse, Thomas Morse and Edward Morse and the sister of the late Inez Wall and Almon Basden.
All services are private. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.

Harold “Red” Leverant

Harold “Red” Leverant aged 85 years of Brockton, MA died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Sherrill House in Boston, MA. He was the husband of Tanya (Folsom) Leverant of FL.
Born Saturday, August 12, 1922 in Boston he was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Samuel Leverant. Harold was educated in Boston Schools and was a graduate of Boston University where he received his Business Degree. He had lived in Braintree, MA for many years and has lived in Brockton for over 30 years. He was a WW II Veteran serving in the US Army and a member of the Enterprise Club in Brockton. He was an avid reader and sports fan and enjoyed collecting and selling rare books and helping others.
In addition to his wife he is survived by four children Gregg Leverant of FL, David Leverant and his wife Donna of TN, Todd Leverant and his wife Laura of Brockton and Paul Leverant of FL; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and a sister Sarah Medros of NH.
Memorial visitation will take place on Thursday, May 1, 2008 from 4-8 PM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton, MA. Funeral services will be at a later date.

Anthony Quelle Lopes

Anthony Quelle Lopes age 21, years of Middleboro, MA died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Morton Hospital in Taunton.
Anthony was a long time resident of Middleboro and was a graduate of Middleboro High School. He enjoyed fishing, football, baseball and was a member of Jericho Christian Fellowship in Middleboro.
He is survived by his mother Terri Nunes, step-father Robert Nunes, father Mickey Quelle, Jr.; a son Dominic; long time companion Sara Maxfield; a brother Robert Nunes, Jr.; a sister Ashley Nunes; his grandmother Betty Perry; great-grandmother Jenny Lopez; an aunt Vickie Perry; four uncles Victor Perry, Peter Perry, Frank Lopes and Manuel Lopes and several cousins and close friends. He was also the brother of the late Kaylee Nunes and the grandson of the late Manuel lopes and Mickey Quelle.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Jericho Christian Fellowship, 17 Jericho Road, Middleboro, MA. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Middleboro.
Visitation will take place on Thursday from 5-9 PM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St. Lakeville, MA.

Catherine M. (Ahern) Lang

Catherine M. (Ahern) Lang, 87, died on Monday April 28th at the Island Terrace Nursing Home after a period of declining health.
Prior to her moving to Island Terrace Nursing Home a year ago, she had been a resident of Braintree, MA most of her adult life. Mrs. Lang was born in Keene, New Hampshire and worked as a professional singer after graduating from high school before she went to work for the Department of Chemical Warfare during WWII. After her children were grown and in school, she began a food demonstration business. She later worked for the Massachusetts Department of Unemployment, from which she retired in 1985.
She is survived by her children, Ted E. Lang of Lakeville, MA, David E. Lang of New York City and Barbara Jane (Lang) May of Pasadena, California, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Helen M. Quinn of Brockton, MA and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lang’s wishes were to have her remains donated to the Anatomical Gift Program at Harvard Medical School.
A memorial service will beheld on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 10:30 AM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 270 Bedford St. (Rt. 18) Lakeville, MA

Richard “Rich” Duphily age 52 years of Middleboro, MA died Sunday, May 4, 2008 after a long illness in Middleboro. He was the husband of Patricia C. (Klaila) Duphily of 33 years.
Born Friday, December 2, 1955 in Middleboro he was the son of Rita M. (Leger) Duphily of Middleboro and the late Wilfred J. Duphily.
Rich was a lifelong resident of Middleboro and was a 1973 graduate of Middleboro High School. He owned and operated Greenleafs Auto Parts in Raynham and enjoyed mussel cars, restoring cars and new home building. He was also a Communicant of Sts. Martha and Mary Church in Lakeville.
In addition to his wife Patricia and his mother Rita he is survived by three sons Paul R. Duphily and his wife Allison of Middleboro, Timothy M. Duphily and his wife Jennifer of Middleboro and Michael J. Duphily of Middleboro; four grandchildren Logan Duphily, Emma Duphily, Richard Duphily and Ava Duphily; three brothers Wilfred Duphily and his wife Mimi of Middleboro, Roger Duphily and his wife Linda of Middleboro and Roland Duphily and his wife Susan of CA and many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be sadly missed by all.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 7:30 PM in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St. Lakeville, MA. Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 8, 2008 from 4:00 – 7:30 PM.

Nancy A. (Chase) Cunningham

Nancy A. (Chase) Cunningham age 51 years died unexpectedly Friday June 6 in Orlando, Florida. She was the wife of Brian Cunningham. They had been residents of Orlando, Florida for the past seven months; previously living in Hyannis for several years.
Born in Brockton she was the daughter of Everett W. Jr., and Janet R. (Robb) Chase of Brockton. Nancy was employed by Universal Studios – Orlando. She enjoyed country music and loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Brian Cunningham, Jr., Daniel Cunningham and Heather Cunningham, a brother, James E. Chase, his wife Diane and their daughter Valerie Chase of Charlton, MA.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday June 12 at 10:00 am in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton, MA. Interment will follow in Nemasket Hill Cemetery, Plymouth St. Middleboro.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 from 6-9pm in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St. Brockton, MA

Helen I. (Kosinski) Fogaren

Helen I. (Kosinski) Fogaren age 86 years of Lakeville, MA died June 19, 2008 at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the loving wife of Antonio R. Fogaren.
Born February 19, 1922 in East Taunton, MA she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Ziemba) Kosinski. She was a 1940 graduate of New Bedford High School and continued her education at Kenyon Business School. She was a long time resident of New Bedford and had lived in Bridgewater for 16 years and most recently in Lakeville for the past 7 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crafts, needlepoint and traveling to Maine.
In addition to her husband Antonio she was the devoted mother to Robert Fogaren and his wife Nancy of Valencia, CA, David Fogaren and his wife Lisa of Tewksbury, MA, Peter Fogaren and his wife Terry of Ashland, MA and Michael Fogaren and his wife Carla of Easton, MA; 11 grandchildren Kimberly Fogaren, Timothy Fogaren, Elizabeth Fogaren, David Fogaren, Amanda Fogaren, Ryan Fogaren, Caitlin Fogaren, Andrew Fogaren, Kristen Fogaren, Meaghan Fogaren and Michael Fogaren.
