Robert M. Noviello, 83

ARLINGTON - Robert M. Noviello, 83, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004, at the Harborside Healthcare in Wakefield following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Helen (Welch) Noviello.
A former resident of Somerville, he lived in Arlington for 52 years.
Mr. Noviello was a World War II Naval veteran.
He was employed by the town of Arlington for 28 years, working at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons, Robert Noviello of Arlington, Richard Noviello of Littleton, James Noviello of Arlington, William Noviello of Everett and Thomas Noviello of Leominster; a daughter, Ann Pollander of Arlington; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was also the brother of the late John, Arthur, William, Henry and Edith Noviello.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today, Dec. 30, at St. Agnes Church, Arlington. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
John J. "Jack" Moriarty

ARLINGTON - John J. "Jack" Moriarty of Arlington, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004. He was the husband of Ruth M. (Crampton) Moriarty.
Born in Boston, he worked as a machinist for the Revere Sugar Company.
Mr. Moriarty was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, John M. and his wife Gail of Nashua, N.H.; a sister, Ellen Smith and her family of Arlington and York, Maine; one grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Tuesday, Dec. 28 from the Saville & Grannan Funeral Home, Arlington Center, with a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Agnes Church. Burial followed in St. Paul's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140-1102.
Mary E. Hegarty, 88

EVERETT - Mary E. Hegarty, 88, of Everett, a former longtime resident of Cambridge, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, in Everett.
She was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Jane (Shea) Hegarty. Prior to moving to Everett, she was a resident of Cambridge for 30 years. She was employed in the computer department at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
Ms. Hegarty is survived by a brother Francis of Virginia and a nephew, John Fabiszewski of Everett and Arlington. She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Hegarty.
The funeral will be held today, Dec. 30 at 9 a.m. from the Keefe Funeral Home, 2175 Mass. Ave., North Cambridge followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. John's Church, 2254 Mass. Ave., Cambridge, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
Rita E. (Theriault) Frassa

WOBURN - Rita E. (Theriault) Frassa, 80, formerly of Cambridge, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. She was the wife of the late John Frassa.
She was born in Cambridge and had been a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, Joseph Frassa and his wife, Ann, of Billerica; two sisters, Jean (Frassa) Sartoris of Wilmington and Elaine Pano and her husband, Mark, of Woburn; four grandchildren; and a brother, Norman Theriault of Arlington.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Barbara's Church in Woburn. Interment was in Cambridge Cemetery.

Sally I. (Paoletti) Blais, 90

ARLINGTON - Sally I. (Paoletti) Blais, 90, of Arlington, formerly of Somerville, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004, at Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. She was the wife of the late Robert Blais.
Mrs. Blais was born in Medford and prior to moving to Arlington three years ago, she resided in Somerville for more than 55 years.
She was the aunt of Margaret Kaplan and her husband Michael of Arlington, Evelyn Henry and her husband David of Scituate, Leonard Paoletti of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Edward Paoletti and his wife Karen of Folsom, Calif. She is also survived by many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Funeral services are private. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of DeVito-O'Donnell Funeral Home, Arlington.
B. Jean Borthwick, 83

LEXINGTON - B. Jean Borthwick, 83, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, at South Shore Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Harry M. Borthwick.
She was born in Boston.
Mrs. Borthwick was a retired office manager for Dr. Ted Atkins.
She is survived by two sons, Paul Borthwick of Lexington and Scott Borthwick of Canaan, N.H.; and a daughter, Susan Urbani of Marshfield.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 2, in Grace Chapel 59 Worthen Road, Lexington.
Arrangements were under the care of the Saville & Grannan Funeral Home, Arlington.
Frederick A. Ault, 81

ARLINGTON - Frederick A. Ault, 81, a 60-year resident of Arlington, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004. He was the husband of Mildred (Graham) Ault.
Mr. Ault served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was employed as a custodian for the town of Arlington for 30 years and a post office employee for 25 years.
Mr. Ault was a member of the VFW, UAV and the Arlington Boys & Girls Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, John Ault and his wife, Florence, of Somerville; a brother and sister, John and Dottie Ault, both of Wayland; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Andrew, Arthur and Joseph Ault.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 28 at St. Agnes Church in Arlington. Interment was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.

John R. Zaccardi, 69

ARLINGTON - John R. Zaccardi, 69, of Arlington, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2004, at home surrounded by his family, after a long illness. He was the husband of Marion L. (Mirisola) Zaccardi.
He was the son of the late Adelio and Flora Zaccardi. He attended the Arlington schools and was a graduate of Arlington High School and Wentworth Institute. He worked as a carpenter in the construction field.
He served as a private first class in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lorraine Schoen and her husband Kirk and Joan Webber and her husband Joseph, all of Arlington; three grandchildren; a sister, Dolores Zaccardi of Arlington; sisters and brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Zaccardi.
The funeral was held from the DeVito-O'Donnell Funeral Home, Arlington Heights, on Tuesday, Jan. 4 followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St .Agnes Church. Interment followed in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Joseph D. Russo, 86

BELMONT - Joseph D. Russo, 86, died suddenly Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at the Mount Auburn Hospital. He was the husband of Mary Ida (Russo) Russo.
He was born in Boston on April 23, 1918, the son of the late Guiseppe and Antonetta (Capana) Russo. Mr. Russo had been a Belmont resident for most of his life attending Belmont schools and graduating from Burnett Business College in Boston in 1938. He wintered in Boynton Beach, Fla., for the past 20 years.
Mr. Russo was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army's Company B 1294th Engineer Combat Battalion.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Mr. Russo retired as a manager of the G.E. Aircraft Engine Division in Lynn after 42 years of service.
In addition to his wife of 62 years, he is survived by three sons, Joseph L. Russo of Belmont, Leonard P. Russo and his wife, Dina (Torelli), of Swampscott and Philip D. Russo of Belmont; three daughters, Annette Pelton of Medford, Rosemary Russo and her husband, Robert Babcock, of Wakefield, and Cynthia J. Russo of Pembroke; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucy Franzese of Arlington; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Peter Russo and Fannie Rosatelli.
A funeral service was held Dec. 31 from the Brasco & Sons Memorial in Belmont, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Luke's Church. Interment was in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Watertown.
Florence E. .O'Sullivan, 84

ARLINGTON - Florence E. .O'Sullivan, 84, of Arlington, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at the Woburn Nursing Center in Woburn after a long illness. She was the wife of the late John D. O'Sullivan.
Prior to moving to Arlington 50 years ago, she lived in Somerville. She worked as a secretary at a packaging company and was a member of the 70 Plus Ski Club. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing.
She is survived by two grandchildren and Robert S. Fernald of Arlington. She was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara A. Fernald, and a son, John D. O'Sullivan Jr.
The funeral was held from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home in Somerville with a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Eulalia's Church, Winchester. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
