Bernadette M. Elliott
A Funeral Mass for Bernadette Mary (Stamm) Elliott, 79, will be celebrated on Saturday, December 9, 2006, in the Church of Saint Mary, Waltham.

Mrs. Elliott was born in Waltham, a daughter of Henry A. and Martha F. (Benedix) Stamm. She was a graduate of Waltham High School, Class of 1944 and a lifelong resident of Waltham. A retired terminal clerk for Shell Oil Co., Mrs. Elliott enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Waltham Twirlers and Baldwin Square Apples. She died on Tuesday, December 05, 2006, in Epoch of Weston.

Wife of the late Wilfrid F. “Bill” Elliott, she leaves two children: Leslie A. Elliott and husband Paul LaCoste of Hadley and Robert D. Elliott of Waltham; a former daughter-in-law, Sandra Mancuso of Orange; 6 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Visitation will be on Saturday morning at 9 AM in the MacDonald Rockwell MacDonald Funeral Home in WATETOWN SQUARE, at 6 Riverside St., Watertown followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church of Saint Mary, School St., Waltham. Interment will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.

Michael E. Dickie

A Funeral Mass for Michael Emerson Dickie, 46, will be celebrated on Saturday, February 3, 2007 in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown.

Mr. Dickie was born in Boston and lived most of his life in Watertown. He was a graduate of Watertown High School and furthered his education at State College at Bridgewater and Northeastern University. Mr. Dickie, a telephone technician, was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 103. He died on Monday, January 29, 2007, in the Brockton Hospital, after a sudden illness.

Son of the late Ann R. (Flanagan) Dickie, he leaves his father Emerson J. Dickie and his stepmother, Nancy (Poirier) Dickie of Watertown; a son, Christopher Derian of Wilmington; three brothers: Stephen J. Dickie of York, Maine, Kevin J. Dickie of Medway and Brendan J. Dickie of Watertown; and 5 nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown, on Saturday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 o'clock in the Church of Saint Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown.

Calling hours will be on Friday, February 2nd from 4-8 PM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home on Main Street. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.

Simone M. Jones
Visiting hours for Simone Marie (Laforge) Jones, 89, will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2007 from 5-8 PM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Route 20, Watertown.

Mrs. Jones was born in St. Andre, New Brunswick, a daughter of Henri and Juliet (Pelletier) Laforge. She grew up and was educated in St. Andrew and has lived in Watertown for over 60 years. Mrs. Jones enjoyed knitting and made many afghans, socks, mittens and sweaters. She also contributed to and sponsored children on World Vision. Mrs. Jones died in the Hermitage Nursing Home, Worcester, on Sunday, January 21, 2007.

Wife of the late Jonathan H. Jones, she leaves six children: Richard A. Jones of Attleboro, Gary W. Jones of Watertown, Wilma F. Peters of Tewksbury, Ann Marie Acciavatti of Douglas, Jonathan H. Jones of Watertown and Lorna J. Kalajian of Weston; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Jones was the sister of Estelle Caron of St. Leonard, N.B., Jean Berube of Montreal, Pete Laf0orge of St. Rose, N.B., Carmelle Ferlotte of Val Caron, Ont., Louis Laforge of Toronto and the late Donat Laforge, Alyre Laforge and Claire Scalzi.

The Funeral service and interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hermitage Nursing Home for the Alzheimer’s Unit, 383 Mill St., Worcester, MA. 01602.

Margaret M. Hawkes
A Funeral Services for Margaret Mary (Brodie) Hawkes, 92, will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2007, at 10 AM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., Watertown.

Mrs. Hawkes was born in Broughty Ferry, Scotland, a daughter of George E. and Mary (Strachan) Brodie. She came to the United States as a child and graduated from Jamaica Plain High School. Mrs. Hawkes was a resident of Natick for over 50 years before moving to Framingham 7 years ago. She loved her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed classical music and dressing-up very fashionably. She died on Saturday, January 20, 2007, in the Metro West Medical Center, Natick Campus.

She was the beloved wife of the late John Barry Hawkes and devoted mother of J. Barry Hawkes, Jr. of Watertown, Geoffrey G.E. Hawkes of W. Yarmouth, J. William Hawkes of Sunnyvale, Calif. and Diane Hawkes of Visalia, Calif.

Also Mrs. Hawkes was the loving grandmother of Rose Margaret Hawkes and Barbara Anne Poirier of Bedford, John Barry Hawkes, III of Waltham, Glenmichael Russo of Watertown, Thomas Marcantonio and Lisa Coker of Georgia, Valerie McCue of Wrentham, Katherine Brodie Hawkes and William Hartnett Hawkes of Calif.

Also the loving great-grandmother of Peter Jude, Stephanie Anne and Heather Anne Poirier of Bedford, Alice Rose, Brodie Anne and Caroline Marie Hawkes of Waltham, Isobel and Sam McCue of Wrentham, Julie Marcantonio and the late Anne Elise Coker. In addition Mrs. Hawkes was the dear sister of the late George Brodie and Williamina Brodie.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, January 24th from 5-8 PM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, at 270 Main St., on Route 20, Watertown. Interment in Mount Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury, will follow the Funeral Home services on Thursday. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.

Agnes McManus
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 24, 2007 for Mrs. Agnes McManus. Mrs. McManus was born in Watertown, a daughter of the late Richard and Ellen (Judge) Meehan. She grew up in Watertown, attending Watertown Public Schools and graduated from Watertown High School. She had been a lifelong resident of Watertown. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking and collecting knicknacks. Mrs. McManus died on Saturday January 20, 2007 at her residence.

She was the wife of the late Watertown Firefighter Frank J. McManus, Jr.; mother of Ellen DiFonzo of Somerville, Frank, Kevin, Maureen and Warren McManus all of Watertown, Agnes Migliaccio of Billerica and the late Patricia Gauvin. She was also loved by 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and sister of Anna MacKenzie of Arlington, Esther Gately of Watertown and the late Kay Gilmartin, Mary Welsh, Helen McManus, & Margaret Crossman.

Funeral services will be held from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. on Rte 20, Watertown on Wed. at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 O’clock in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Tues. 3-8 PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

Francis W. Boudrot

A Funeral Mass for Francis William Boudrot, 82, will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown.

Mr. Boudrot was born in Boston, a son of Joseph A. and Mary (Coffey) Boudrot. A lifelong Watertown resident, he attended Saint Patrick Schools and served in the US Army during World War II. He was assigned to Patten’s 3rd Army, Armour, 5th Division- The Red Diamond. After the war, Mr. Boudrot was a machinist for 32 years with Lewis-Shepard, Watertown, and for 8 years with Anderson Power Products, Boston.

He retired when he was 62 years old and enjoyed his family and his garden. He also sang in a Barbershop Quartet and caned chairs. For 45 years, he was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Tomas Cardinal O’Fiaich Division #14, Watertown and a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Waltham. Mr. Boudrot died in the Caritas-St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Boston, on Friday, January 19, 2007.

He leaves his wife of 57 years, Theresa L. (DuBois) Boudrot; three children: Andrea M. Mezger and her husband John of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; Martina E. Boudrot of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Denise M. Hanley and her husband Joseph of Waltham. He was the pepere of Benjamin and Samuel Mezger, Jonathan and Jeffrey Neong, Nicole, Michael, and Steven Hanley; and many nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown, on Tues. at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 o'clock in the Church of Saint Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown. Interment will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Watertown.

Calling hours will be on Monday, January 22nd from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home on Main Street. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.

Angus MacEachern
A Funeral Mass for Angus “Gus” MacEachern, 94, will be celebrated on Saturday, January 20, 2007, in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Newton.

Mr. MacEachern was born in River Denys, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, a son of Dan L. and Mary Jane (MacLean) MacEachern. He grew up and was educated in River Denys and later worked for the Canadian National Railways. He came to the United States and settle in Newton in the late 1960s. He was a retired Security Guard for the Northeast Federal Savings Bank in Watertown.

Mr. MacEachern, a former member of the Cape Breton Gaelic Club, enjoyed Celtic music and was informally known as the “Mayor of Newtonville”. He died at Wingate of Needham Nursing Facility on Wednesday, January 17, 2007.

He leaves three children: Sally Kelly of Newtonville, Lauchie MacEachern of Saratoga, Fla., formerly of Woburn, and Charles MacEachern of Roslindale; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Husband of the late M. Alice (MacMaster) MacEachern who died in August 1993, he was the brother of the late Lauchie MacEachern, Mary Hindle, Margaret Achim and Marcella MacEachern.

The Funeral will be from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown, on Sat. at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 o'clock in the Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St., Newton. Interment will be in Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury.

Calling hours will be on Friday, January 19th from 4-8 PM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home on Main Street. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.

Eleanor A. Shaughnessy
A Funeral Mass for Eleanor A. (Barbato) Shaughnessy, 93, will be celebrated on Saturday, January 20, 2007, in the Church of Saint Patrick, 212 Main Street, Watertown, Massachusetts.

Mrs. Shaughnessy was born in Waltham, MA., a daughter of Dominico and Drusianna (Barbato) Barbato. She grew up in Watertown and went to the Watertown schools. Mrs. Shaughnessy, a former resident of Newton, had lived most of her life in Watertown.

A retired employee of the Wm. Underwood Co., Watertown, Mrs. Shaughnessy was a past Treasurer of the Woodland Towers Tenants Association. She died on Friday, January 12, 2007, in the Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge, after a sudden illness.

She leaves a son, Paul Shaughnessy of Needham; a brother, Alfonse Barbato of Bastrop, Tex.; a sister, Dorothy Mazzone of Largo, Fla.; 4 grandchildren: Karen Sittner of Petaluma, Calif., Valerie McWilliams of Beulah, Colo., Helen D. Shaughnessy of San Mateo, Calif., and Sara McLaughlin of Natick; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Wife of the late William E. Shaughnessy, she was also the mother of the late William E. Shaughnessy, Jr., and sister of the late Margaret Gandolfo and Peter Barbato.

A Visiting Hour will be held on Saturday, January 20th from 9 – 10 AM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home, at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown, MA. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM in the Church of Saint Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown. Interment will be in Newton Cemetery, Newton, MA. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Partners Hospice in memory of Kayla Aiello, 48 Woerd Ave., Suite 102, Waltham, MA. 02453.

Dorothy B. McCarthy
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2006 for Mrs. Dorothy B. McCarthy. Mrs. McCarthy was born in Boston, a daughter of the late Philip H. and Margaret P. (Munro) Byron. She grew up in Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester High School. She attended the University of Mass. in Boston in her forties and was a licensed daycare provider. She had been a Watertown resident for many years. Mrs. McCarthy died on Monday, January 15, 2007 at the Whitney Place Nursing Center in Natick at the age of 75.

She was the wife of the late Thomas J. McCarthy, Sr.; mother of Karen A. Carr and her husband Edward of Natick, Donna L. Thaxter and her husband Kenneth of Bridgewater, Thomas J. McCarthy, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Worcester, and the late Jean Marie McCarthy. She was also survived by 7grandchildren: Thomas, William, and Emily Carr, Ryan and Conor Thaxter, and Isabelle and Gabrielle McCarthy, and two sisters: Barbara Richards of Wayland and Mary Rodkey of Belmont. Mrs. McCarthy was the sister of the late Walter Byron of Bolton.

Funeral Services will be held from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home in WATERTOWN SQUARE at 6 Riverside St. (cnr. of No. Beacon St.) Watertown on Friday at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 O’Clock in the Church of St. Jude 147 Main St., Waltham. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM.

Contributions may be made in Dot’s memory to the Alzheimer Association, 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472.
