Mary A. Heuston
A Funeral Mass for Mary A. Heuston, 64, will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 3, 2007, in the Sacred Heart Church, Watertown.

Ms. Heuston, born in Boston, was a lifelong resident of Watertown. She was a graduate of Watertown High School and had been an office manager for Romas Transportation. Ms. Heuston was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles, the Red Sox and the beach. She died on Saturday, June 30, 2007, in the Emerson Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Watertown.

She was the mother of Michele A. Traniello of Walpole, Danielle Ramsey of Wareham, Paul M. Shutt of Waltham, and Michael J. Shutt of Hudson; the sister of Joseph T. Heuston of Bartlett, NH, William L. Heuston of Waltham, Sharon A. Walsh and Marie E. Farrell of Watertown; and grandmother of John A. Traniello, Ariana M. Traniello, Brock Ramsey, McKayla E. Shutt and Riley E. Shutt

The Funeral will be from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home in WATERTOWN SQUARE at 6 Riverside St. (crnr. No. Beacon St.) Watertown, on Tuesday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in the Sacred Heart Church, 770 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown.

Calling hours will be on Monday, July 2nd from 4-8 PM in the MacDonald Rockwell MacDonald Funeral Home in Watertown Square. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Fl, Brookline, MA 02445.

Nora E. Ring

A Funeral Mass for Nora Elizabeth “Noni” Ring, 86, will be celebrated on Thursday, July 5, 2007, at 10 AM in the Church of Saint Paul, on Bow and Arrow Streets, Cambridge.

Ms. Ring was born and raised in Dorchester and graduated from Girls High School in Boston. For thirty years she was employed as a secretary at the Boston Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and during the 1960s as a secretary at the United States Embassy in Bonn, Germany. After her retirement in 1978 from the F.B.I., she became an administrative assistant at the Harvard Business School.

Ms. Ring was an active member of Saint Paul Parish singing in the Adult Choir and participating in various events of the Parish. She was also an Eucharistic Minister at Brigham & Women’s Hospital where for many years she visited and brought Holy Communion to the patients each week.

She was a member of the Society of F.B.I. Alumni and also enjoyed cooking, theater, classical music and traveling with friends. Ms. Ring, a resident of Watertown and former resident of Belmont and Arlington, died on Saturday, June 30, 2007, in the Newton Health and Rehabilitation Center in Newton.

She was devoted to her family, particularly her four Ring sisters, and will be remembered by all for her warm and caring nature, her radiant smile and her loving and generous heart.

She was the daughter of the late Vincent P. and Nora E. (Weafer) Ring and sister of Margaret Connolly of Belmont, and the late Mary Duffy, Rita Waldron and Elizabeth Gibbons. Ms. Ring also leaves many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

After the Funeral Mass, interment will be in Mount Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to the funeral services.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Brigham House, Watertown, for their care and kindness to Noni during her three years of residence there.

Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Paul Parish, 29 Mt. Auburn St., Cambridge, MA. 02138.

Carmen Habosian

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2007 for Mrs. Carmen Habosian. Mrs. Habosian was born in Erzerum, Turkey, a daughter of the late Anton and Serpoui Usunian. She emigrated to the United States in 1949 settling in Watertown. She had been a Watertown resident for the past 58 years. She was a very creative person, engaging in the arts of ceramics, embroidering, painting and baking. She was fluent in Armenian, Russian and English and was an avid reader, enjoying the works of Shakespeare in all three languages. Mrs. Habosian died on Monday July 2, 2007 at her residence in her 101st year.

She was the wife of the late David Habosian; mother of Mary Habosian of Watertown and the late Kaspar Habosian; mother-in-law of Madeleine Habosian Derderian and her husband Arshag of Watertown; grandmother of Levon Habosian and his wife Lisa of Westford, Lucie DiStefano and her husband Paul of Maynard, Lori Cogliano and her husband Herb of Westford and Lisa Thermidor and her husband Jonathan of Maynard and Sister of Brigitte Usunian of Watertown. She was also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and was the aunt of Marsbed Hablanian of Wellesley, Gina (Ann) Hablanian of Watertown and the late Goriun Hablanian and great-aunt of Jeanne Hablanian and her husband Charles Tyler of Sherborn and David Hablanian and his wife Cheryl of Natick.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Holy Cross Armenian Catholic Church, 200 Lexington St., Belmont, MA 02478 Friday at 11:00 A.M. Interment Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visitation will take place in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home in WATERTOWN SQUARE at 6 Riverside St. (cnr. of No. Beacon St.) Watertown prior to the Mass from 9:00 – 10:30 A.M.

Contributions may be made in Carmen’s memory to either the above named church or the Armenian Library Museum of America “ALMA” 65 Main St. Watertown, MA 02472.

Mary R. (Murphy) Shaughnessy

May 19, 1918 - Thu Mar 26, 2009

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 for Mrs. Mary R. Shaughnessy. Mrs. Shaughnessy was born in Boston, a daughter of the late Raymond A. Murphy, Sr. and Elizabeth H. (McLaughlin) Murphy. She grew up in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School in 1936. She worked for many years with the American Legion Women's Auxiliary at the State House in Boston and later as a Bookkeeper with the Addison-Wesley Publishing Company in Stoneham. She had resided in South Yarmouth since 1987. Mrs. Shaughnessy died on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation Center in Westborough at the age of 90.

She is survived by her sisters: Elizabeth (Bette) Perry of Watertown and Ursula Ceglarski of Duxbury and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James J. Shaughnessy and her brother Raymond A. Murphy, Jr.

A Funeral Mass will be held in the Sacred Heart Church, 770 Mt. Auburn St. Watertown at 10:30 A.M. A visiting hour will be held in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home in WATERTOWN SQUARE at 6 Riverside St. (cnr. of No. Beacon St.) Watertown prior to the Mass 9-10 A.M. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Mt. Auburn Cemetery.

Paul M. Driscoll

May 3, 1938 - Fri Mar 27, 2009

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 30, for Mr. Paul M. Driscoll. Mr. Driscoll was born in Boston a son of the late Michael H. and Marguerite A. (Sullivan) Driscoll. He was a graduate of Watertown High School class of '56 and has been a lifelong resident. After graduation he went to work for the M.B.T.A. as a clerk at the Somerville garage. He later attended Bay State Academy in Boston and became a travel agent working for Colpitts Travel in Boston, Travel by Betty Doherty in Watertown and then the Haley Corporation / TNT Vacations in Boston. Working in the industry for over 40 years, Paul specialized in Bermuda while at the Haley Corporation / TNT Vacations and became known as "Mr. Bermuda" having made over 200 trips to the island. In 2006 Paul was written up in National Register's "Who's Who in Executives and Professionals" thanks to his many friends in Bermuda.

He is survived by his children: Kathleen Driscoll Heroux of Attleboro, Maura D. Walsh and her husband John of Lynnfield, Deborah A. Barker and her husband James of Watertown and Brian P. of Wakefield; his grandchildren: Michael C., Walsh John P. Walsh and Kathleen M. Walsh all of Lynnfield and Stephanie N. Barker of Watertown.

Funeral Services will be held from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home in WATERTOWN SQUARE at 6 Riverside St. (cnr. of No. Beacon St.) Watertown on Monday at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 O'Clock in the Church of St. Patrick, 212 Main St. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7 PM.

Gertrude R. Whittier

Feb 23, 1920 - Sat Mar 28, 2009

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 for Ms. Gertrude R. "Ann" Whittier. Ms. Whittier was born in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of William J. and Ann (Fitschen) Whittier. She grew up in New York, graduating from James Madison High School. She then joined the Dominican Sisters, in St. Catharine, KY. She continued her education receiving a Bachelors degree in teaching at Sienna College and later received a Master's in Education at Boston State College. She taught at St. John's Grammar School in North Cambridge and had been a Teacher in the Watertown Public Schools. She taught at the Hosmer, the Lowell and the Watertown Middle Schools. Ann died on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at her residence in Watertown at the age of 89.

She is survived by her dear friend Mary A. Lyons of Watertown and her nieces: Anne Peppler of Onley, VA, Margaret Creig and Virginia Berkelman both of Long Island, NY. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews and her friends the O'Connor family of Watertown.

Visiting Hours in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home in WATERTOWN SQUARE at 6 Riverside St. (cnr. of No. Beacon St.) Watertown on Monday 4-7 P.M. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Chapel at Rosary Manor, 130 Lexington St., Watertown, MA 02472 on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. Interment St.. Patrick Cemetery.

Helen G. Comick

A Funeral Mass for Helen Genevieve Comick, 84, will be celebrated on Saturday, April 4, 2009, in the Church of Saint Patrick, Watertown.

Ms. Comick was born in Watertown, graduated from Watertown High School and was a lifelong Watertown resident. She was active in Saint Patrick Parish where she served as an Eucharistic Minister, a Lector and a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality. She was also a member of the Legion of Mary and the Fidelis Club. Ms. Comick, a retired Secretary at the Watertown Arsenal, died in Saint Patrick Manor, Framingham, on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, where she had lived for the past 6 years.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Francis H. and Anne M. (Connolly) Comick; devoted sister of Thomas F. "Bud" Comick and his wife Dorothea of Kensington, MD, Doris T. Kellett and her husband Owen of Wayland, the late John J. Comick and his surviving wife Joann of Newburyport, and the late Margaret M. Comick. She was also loved by 11 nieces and nephews and 24 grandnieces and grandnephews.

The Funeral will be from the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown, on Saturday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 o'clock in the Church of Saint Patrick, 212 Main St., Watertown. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Watertown.

Calling hours will be on Friday, April 3rd from 4-7 PM in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home on Main Street. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.

Rose E. (Anastasia) Dube

A Funeral Mass for Rose Eleanor (Anastasia) Dube will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in the Sacred Heart Church, Waltham.

Mrs. Dube, a daughter of Joseph and Domenica (Santoro) Anastasia, was born in South Boston, Mass. She grew up and received her education in South Boston. Mrs. Dube, a resident of Waltham presently living at The Mill on Moody Street, had formerly lived in Belmont and Falmouth. She had been a member of the Sodality at St. Luke Parish, Belmont, and an active member of St. Elizabeth Seton Parish in Falmouth.

Mrs. Dube enjoyed gardening and led a healthy lifestyle. She was a devout Catholic with a strong sense of faith and an inspiration to her family and friends. In addition, she crocheted and made many baby afghans which she donated to Heartbeat in Burlington. Mrs. Dube died on Monday, April 13, 2009, in the Maristhill Nursing Center, Waltham, after a brief illness. She had turned 100 in January.

She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest J. Dube; devoted mother of Barbara A. Pottie of Danvers, formerly of Middleton, Denis J. Dube of Waltham and the late Thomas J. Dube; dear sister of the late John Anastasia, Antonio Anastasia, Josephine Picinisco, Frances Hitz, George Anastasia, Charles Anastasia, and Emily Anastasia. She was also loved by 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friend s are kindly invited to visit in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Rte. 20, Watertown on Wednesday morning from 9-10 AM and to attend her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in the Sacred Heart Church, 100 Newton St., Waltham. Interment will be in the Belmont Cemetery.

Mary M. (MacLean) MacKenzie

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 for Mrs. Mary Margaret "Peggy" MacKenzie. Mrs. MacKenzie was born in Lower Washabuck, Cape Breton, NS, Canada. She was a daughter of the late Malcolm B. and Mary Jane (MacKenzie) MacLean. She grew up in Cape Breton, graduating from the Washabuck High School in Wasabuck, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. She worked for many years as an electrical technician. Mrs. MacKenzie had been a Waltham Resident for the past 34 years. She had been a member of the Cape Breton Club and the Canadian-American Club. She died on Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Meadow Green Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Waltham at the age of 93.

She was the wife of the late Joseph F. MacKenzie; sister of Archibald MacLean of Washebuck, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and the late Stephen S. MacLean and Eulalia E. MacLean. She is also survived by four nieces and a nephew all of Canada.

A Visiting hour will be held in the MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St. on Rt. 20, WATERTOWN on Wednesday from 7::30 - 8:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 O'Clock in the Church of St. Luke 132 Lexington St., Belmont. Interment will follow in Newton Cemetery.

Jeff R. Petit

May 19, 1984 - Mon Apr 27, 2009

Funeral Services for Jeff Richard Petit, 24, will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at 10 AM in the Community Church of Watertown, 525 Main Street, Watertown, Mass.

Mr. Petit was born in Port Au Prince, Haiti, and grew up in Haiti, New York City and later in Waltham, Mass. He was a graduate of Waltham High School and was a student at Massachusetts Bay Community College. He died on Monday, April 27, 2009, in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, as the result of an automobile accident.

He was the beloved son of Jean M.B. and Martes (Nervil) Petit; devoted father Jeffrey B. Petit of Waltham; and loving brother of Stephania Petit, Lynn Petit, Jennie Petit, Lyncee Petit, Sandra Petit, Johanne Belony, Billy Belony, Ruth Belony and Daphney Dominque; and dear grandson of Veronique Vilain of Philadelphia, PA and the late Jean Marie Nervil and the late Rene and Luce (Henry) Petit, and the late Yolande Domique.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visiting hours in MacDonald, Rockwell & MacDonald Funeral Home at 270 Main St., on Route 20, Watertown, Mass., on Friday, May 01, 2009, from 6-8 PM. Relatives and friends are also kindly invited to meet at The Community Church of Watertown on Saturday morning, May 2nd, for the funeral service at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect St., Waltham, Mass.
