HUDSON -- Idalina S. (Costodio) Marini, 102, formerly of Brigham Circle, died yesterday in Sudbury Pines Extended Care, Sudbury.
Her husband of 57 years, Frank C. Marini Sr., died in 1971. She leaves a daughter, Viola DiPersio of Hudson; two sons, Cleto Peter Marini of Bangor, Maine, and Frank C. Marini Jr. of Hudson; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Another daughter, Doris T. Grondin of Florida, died in 1989. Born in Ribeira Grande, Sao Miguel, Azores, daughter of Augusto Adelo and Maria (de Espirito Santo) Costodio, she lived most of her life in Hudson.
A homemaker and affectionately called “Ma” by family and friends, she was the family's matriarch.
The funeral will be held Thursday from Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., with a Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Michael's Church, 21 Manning St. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
David J. Mathie, 66

WORCESTER -- David J. Mathie, 66, of 1 Bangor St., a postal security officer, died Monday in Providence Extended Care Center.
He leaves his wife, Ingeborg (Heberle) Mathie; a son, Harold C. Mathie of Worcester; a daughter, Eileen E. Sanders of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Maurice Mathie of Long Island, N.Y.; five grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in New York City, son of David J. and Eileen (Kelly) Mathie, and lived on Staten Island before moving here 15 years ago.
Mr. Mathie was a security officer for 15 years with the U.S. Postal Service in Worcester, retiring in 1994. Previously, he held a similar post in New York. He was also an Army military police officer for 20 years and was stationed in Germany.
Mr. Mathie donated his body to Boston University School of Medicine, Boston, for biomedical research. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 7 Oak St., Worcester 01609. Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., is directing service arrangements.
Gladys McGauley, 95

WORCESTER -- Gladys (Fleming) McGauley, 95, of 40 Hunthurst Circle, a retired secretary, died yesterday in Integrated Health Services of Greater Worcester.
Her husband of 45 years, W. Leo McGauley, died in 1975. She leaves five daughters, Elizabeth H. Sarfaty of Chateaugay, N.Y., Jane M. Farrington of Manchester, N.H., Mary-Lou Warren and Nancy L. Johnson, both of Worcester, and Patricia E. McGauley of Medford; a sister, Esther Martin of Worcester; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Born in New York City, daughter of J. Henry and Helen (Cumminger) Fleming, she lived most of her life in Worcester. She graduated from Commerce High School.
Mrs. McGauley was a secretary at Catholic Charities, retiring in 1975. During the 1920s, she was a secretary at Commerce High School and the office of the school superintendent. She was instrumental in starting a night school program in the Worcester school system. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and the Worcester Branch of Self Help for the Hard of Hearing.
The funeral will be held tomorrow from Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Menard L. Meattey, 84

PRINCETON -- Menard L. Meattey, 84, of 107 James St., Barre, formerly of Main Street, a retired machinist, died yesterday at home.
His wife, Dora (Baldwin) Meattey, died in 1996. He leaves a daughter, Judith Delade in Florida; two granddaughters, Michelle L. Fatcheric of Barre, with whom he lived, and Robin L. Friedrich of Worcester; and three great-grandchildren. Born in Fitzwilliam, N.H., son of Edward and Mary (Plante) Meattey, he lived 60 years in Princeton before moving to Barre last year.
He was a machinist at Modern Tool & Die Co. in Leominster before he retired. He previously worked at Norton Co. in Worcester.
Mr. Meattey was a founding member and past president of the East Princeton Improvement Society. He was a life member of the Leominster Sportsmen's Club.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Miles Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road, Sterling. Burial will be in the spring in Woodlawn Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

NORTHBRIDGE -- Josiah C. Berry, 83, of 27 Fletcher Street, Whitinsville, died Sunday, August 6, in the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, following an illness. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
John F. Mohamed Sr., 61

WORCESTER -- John F. Mohamed Sr., 61, of 130 Wildwood Ave., a retired stock clerk, died Saturday at home after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 22 years, Eleanor M. (Seavey) Mohamed; three sons, John F. Mohamed Jr. of Littleton, Mark J. Mohamed and Lawrence H. Alberts, both of Worcester; a daughter, Cora-Lee Mohamed of Rutland; a brother, Donald J. Mohamed of Worcester; a sister, Ann M. Feeley of Milford, Conn.; 10 grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Born in Worcester, son of John M. and Gertrude (Minor) Mohamed, he graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School. He once served in the Army.
Mr. Mohamed was a stock clerk 24 years at Telechron Division, General Electric Co., retiring in 1980 due to illness.
He was a member of St. Peter's Church.
The funeral will be held tomorrow from Nordgren, Carrigan, Mangsen Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, 931 Main St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. WORCESTER -- Andrew T. O'Connor, 36, of 178 Russell St., a cook, was stricken ill and died yesterday at home.
He leaves his mother, Catherine A. (McGrail) O'Connor, with whom he lived; a brother, Michael P. O'Connor; four sisters, Mary Faucher, Kathleen H. Watrous, and Deborah E. and Jacqueline C. O'Connor, all of Worcester; uncles and aunts; nephews and nieces. Born in Worcester, son of John C. O'Connor, he attended North High School.
Mr. O'Connor was a cook at the PIP Shelter.
The funeral will be held Friday from Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 9 Hammond St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Clifford G. Stone, 76

HARVARD -- Clifford G. Stone, 76, of 38 Blanchard Road, a former farmer and business owner, died Wednesday, July 5, at home.
He leaves his wife, Elizabeth (Pagano) Stone; three sons, Carl Stone of Fitchburg, Brian Stone of Westminster, and Gary Stone of Brunswick, Maine; two daughters, Claudia Jones of Ayer and Brenda Gourdeau of Haverhill; a brother, Stephen Stone of Chapparell, N.M.; seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. He was born in Clinton, son of Earle and Pauline (Hardman) Stone.
Mr. Stone worked on a dairy farm for many years, and owned and operated Stone's Restaurant and Ice Cream Shop until 1977. He retired from Insco Corp. in Groton in 1993.
He was a member of Caleb Butler Masonic Lodge AF & AM in Ayer, the Aleppo Temple in Wilmington, and the Harvard Evangelical Congregational Church. He volunteered at Loaves and Fishes at Fort Devens and the Shriner's Auditorium in Wilmington.
The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 10, in Harvard Evangelical Congregational Church, Still River Road. Badger Funeral Home, Littleton, is directing arrangements.
Agnes M. O'Neil, 80

YARMOUTH -- Agnes M. (Lilley) O'Neil, 80, of 33 Four Seasons Drive, South Yarmouth, formerly of Westboro, died Sunday in Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis, after a long illness.
She leaves her husband of 54 years, Walter B. “Mickey” O'Neil; two daughters, M. Theresa Kohl of Metuchen, N.J., and Kathleen A. O'Neil of Arlington, Va.; two sons, Michael R. O'Neil of Laurel, Md., and Thomas D. O'Neil of Lexington; a sister, Roselyn C. O'Neil of Westboro; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Another son, John B. O'Neil of Arlington, Va., died in 1995. Born in Westboro, daughter of James and Theresa (McNeil) Lilley, she lived 27 years in Westboro before moving to South Yarmouth 15 years ago. She graduated from Westboro High School and Bay Path Business Junior College in Springfield.
Mrs. O'Neil was a planning manager at Bay State Abrasives in Westboro. She was a real estate property manager in Falls Church, Va. She was a member of Pius X Church and its Ladies Guild, and a former member of St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Westboro. An avid bridge player and knitter, she received several awards for her knitting.
The funeral will be held tomorrow from Britton-Summers Funeral Home, 4 Church St., Westboro, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westboro. Burial will be in St. Luke's Cemetery. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. A reception will be held after the burial at St. Luke's parish center. Charles T. O'Reilly, 83

UPTON -- Charles T. O'Reilly, 83, of 134 Main St., a carpenter for more than a half-century, died Sunday at Blaire House in Milford after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 55 years, Antoinette E. (Massey) O'Reilly; nephews and nieces; grandnephews and grandnieces. He was born and raised in Grafton, son of Edward and Nellie (King) O'Reilly, and lived in the Whitinsville section of Northbridge for 54 years before moving to Upton recently. He graduated from Worcester Boy's Trade School and was an Army veteran of World War II; he was awarded two battle stars for service in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Mr. O'Reilly was a self-employed carpenter and worked more than 50 years in the Northbridge area. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Whitinsville. A music lover, he organized his own band and also played for other area bands.
The funeral will be held Saturday from Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St., Whitinsville, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, Cross St., Whitinsville. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
