WEBSTER -- Regina K. (Sak) Kasik, 76, of 11 Eastern Ave., was stricken ill and died at home Thursday, May 31.

Her husband of 26 years, Stephen Kasik Sr., died in 1981. She leaves two sons, Stephen Kasik Jr. of Webster and Michael Kasik of Dudley; a daughter, Mary Kasik of Oxford; two sisters, Priscilla Collins of Webster and Sylvia Kaminski of Dudley; three grandsons; nephews and nieces. Two brothers, Arthur Sak of Webster and Vincent Sak of Dayton, Ohio, predeceased her. She was born and raised in Webster, daughter of Frank and Katherine (Bamber) Sak.Mrs. Kasik was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Basilica and a member of its Holy Rosary Sodality, St. Anne Society and Sacred Heart Society.

A funeral will be held Monday, June 4, from Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 3, in the funeral home. Flowers may be sent, or memorial donations made to St. Joseph Basilica, Handicap Ramp Fund, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA 01570.

Priscilla M. Kirby, 62

SHREWSBURY -- Priscilla M. Kirby, 62, of Shrewsbury, died Saturday, June 2, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- University Campus, Worcester, after a brief illness. She leaves three sons, Peter K. Clougherty of Shrewsbury, Paul K. Clougherty of Worcester and John J. Clougherty of Hingham; five grandchildren. A brother, Peter Kirby, died in 1956. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph and Florence L. (Benaglia) Kirby, and lived many years in Shrewsbury. She graduated from Shrewsbury High School and Endicott Junior College.

Ms. Kirby was director of human resources 15 years for Wright Line Co. in Worcester before retiring.

She was a member of St. Mary's Parish. She was a floral enthusiast, and enjoyed cooking.

The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, from Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 640 Main St. After cremation, burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, in the funeral home.

Charles N. Kittredge, 85

Monday, June 4, 2001

SPENCER -- Charles N. Kittredge, 85, of 118 Northwest Road, died Saturday, June 2, in the Meadows of Leicester.

He leaves his wife of 59 years, Lois (Stokes) Kittredge; two sons, Willis C. Kittredge of Charlton and Wallace E. Kittredge of Spencer; two daughters, Kitty Gliniecki of East Brookfield, and Karla Huard of Spencer; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Born in Spencer, son of Robert F. and Lida B. (Newell) Kittredge, he graduated from David Prouty High School, and lived here all his life.

Mr. Kittredge was the owner and operator of Elm Crest Dairy Farm for more than 70 years.

He was a former 4-H Club member, winning numerous awards for his poultry.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, in the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 163 Main St. Burial will be in the Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, in the funeral home.

Gerard E. Knipe, 84

MILFORD -- Gerard E. Knipe, 84, of 23A Country Club Lane, formerly of Marlboro, died Saturday, June 2, in Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital after a long illness.

He leaves his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth C. (Kirby) Knipe; two sons, David P. Knipe of Hopedale and Jay J. Knipe of Garland, Texas; a daughter, Patricia E. Cohen of Southboro; four grandchildren. A son, James K. Knipe, and a sister, Elizabeth Knipe, predeceased him. He was born in Marlboro, son of Joel and Elizabeth (O'Brien) Knipe, and moved to Milford five years ago. He graduated from Marlboro High School in 1935.

Mr. Knipe was an Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Knipe was a purchasing agent nearly 30 years for Raytheon Corp.-Wayland Division, retiring in 1974. He previously worked for Doherty Tool in Southboro and Liberty Tool in Marlboro.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Marlboro, and the Marlboro Country Club, Marlboro, where he won the club's golf championship four times. He holds the original course record for 18 holes. He was a member of the club's Foundation and Reality boards, and the board of directors.A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, from John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., Marlboro, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlboro. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Marlboro. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, in the funeral home.

Edmund Kozakiewicz

WORCESTER -- Edmund Kozakiewicz, 70, of 59 Arlington St., a retired baker, died Wednesday, June 6, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- Memorial Campus after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 44 years, Helena (Mackiewicz) Kozakiewicz; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was born in Poland, son of Antoni and Anna (Nowelska) Kozakiewicz, and came to this country in 1962. He was educated in Poland and served in the Polish Army.

Mr. Kozakiewicz was a baker for 22 years at Table Talk Pie Co., retiring when the business closed. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

The funeral will be held Friday, June 8, from Henry Funeral Home, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 7, in the funeral home.

Harold LaBombard, 79

NORTH BROOKFIELD -- Harold F. LaBombard, 79, of 271 North Main St. No. 3A, formerly of 83 Maple St., a retired patternmaker, died Wednesday, June 6, at home.

He leaves his wife of 60 years, Bettina (Dudley) LaBombard; two sons, Lawrence W. LaBombard of Rutland and Bruce E. LaBombard of North Brookfield; a brother, Raymond LaBombard of Au Sable Forks, N.Y.; a sister, Frances LeFebvre of Lake Placid, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was born in Au Sable Forks, son of Edward and Malinda (Akey) LaBombard.

Mr. LaBombard worked 12 years at Barre Wool Co., Barre, and then was a patternmaker for 35 years at Perkins Machine Co., Warren, retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the Greendale Bowling League. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.

The memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, in St. Joseph's Church, Main Street. Burial will be at the family's convenience in Walnut Grove Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Library, c/o Hastings Free Public Library, 161 North Main St., North Brookfield, MA 01535. Pillsbury Funeral Home, 44 Gilbert St., is directing arrangements.

Miriam I. Lambert, 74

LOWELL -- Miriam I. (Asquith) Lambert, 74, of Wigginsville, died Friday, June 8, in D'Youville Senior Care.

Her husband, Donald G. Lambert, died in 1994. She leaves a daughter; four sons, including Philip W. Lambert of Rutland; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She graduated from the Bradshaw Business School.

For 20 years, Mrs. Lambert was an office manager for Lowell Rental Associates. She was a member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church, the League of Women Voters, and the Residents Council at D'Youville Senior Care.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, in St. Anne's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Lowell Cemetery. Calling hours are from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 4, in Mahoney Funeral Home, 187 Nesmith St. Donations may be made to St. Anne's Organ Fund, 8 Kirk St., Lowell, MA 01852 or D'Youville Activities Program, 981 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854.

Ernest F. Martineau Sr.

FITCHBURG -- Ernest F. Martineau Sr., 80, of 19 Daniel Heights, a longtime chef, died Thursday, May 31, in the UMass Memorial Medical Center -- University Campus, Worcester, after an illness.

He leaves three sons, Ernest F. Martineau Jr. of Leominster, Greg Martineau of Fitchburg, and Robert A. Martineau of Norwalk, Conn.; his former wife, Nancy L. (Marino) Martineau of Fitchburg; longtime companion, Shirley Ouellette of Leominster; six grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. Born in Lunenburg, son of Arthur and Euginie (Morin) Martineau, he lived many years in Fitchburg.

Mr. Martineau served as a chef in the Merchant Marines during World War II and the Korean War. He worked many years as a chef at the former Oyster Bar, retiring in 1973.

He was an avid gardener and fisherman.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 4, in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 81 Sheridan St. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 3, in the Louis M. Isabelle Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St.

Rita M. Nason, 61

WORCESTER -- Rita M. (Hasselmann) Nason, 61, of 86 Austin St., died Tuesday, May 29, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center after an illness.

She leaves a son, Wayne F. Nason of Worcester; two brothers, John Hasselmann of Worcester and James Hasselmann of New York City. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Edward and Mary B. (Meehan) Hasselmann.

Mrs. Nason was a crossing guard 10 years for the City of Worcester School Department. She was a former member of St. Peter's Catholic Parish.

The graveside service will be held at a time to be announced Wednesday, June 6, in St. John's Cemetery, 260 Cambridge St. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2 Mount Royal Avenue, Marlboro, MA 01752. Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., is directing arrangements.

Mary R. Nolan, 79

GARDNER -- Mary R. (Grabauskas) Nolan, 79, of 110 Barthel Ave., a former optical company worker, died Wednesday, June 6, at home.

Her husband of 55 years, Matthew J. Nolan Jr., died in 1998. She leaves two sons, Matthew J. Nolan III of Holden and Michael A. Nolan of Grafton; a daughter, Mary A. Shaffer of Templeton; five granddaughters; nephews and nieces. A grandson predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Anthony P. and Angela (Andruleviciute) Grabauskas, and lived many years in Gardner. She attended Worcester public schools.

Mrs. Nolan worked at American Optical Co., Southbridge, and was associated with her husband in Summit Construction Co. and Nolan Memorial Co. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. She was also active in Girl Scouts and was a den mother for Sacred Heart Church Cub Scouts.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, in John H. Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. A calling hour is 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to a charity.

Teotista Ruiz, 66

WORCESTER -- Teotista Ruiz, 66, of 27 Mount Vernon St., died Tuesday, June 5, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.

Her husband, Sinforiano Pagan, died in 1994. She leaves six sons, David Pagan of Monson, Angel Pagan of Worcester, Luis Alvarado of Southbridge, Luis A. and Joel Pagan, both of Holyoke and Joaquin Pagan of Ponce, Puerto Rico; four daughters, Carmen Pagan of Worcester, Olga Pagan of Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, Celestina Pagan of Holyoke and Elena Bettencourt of Rio Grande, Puerto Rico; two brothers, Falo and Jacinto Ruiz, both of Gurabo, Puerto Rico; two sisters, Eucedia Ruiz of Gurabo, Puerto Rico, and Soledad Candelario of Florida; 31 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nephews and nieces. She was born Gurabo, Puerto Rico, daughter of Manuel and Carmella (Candelario) Ruiz.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 8, in the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main St. Burial will be Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 7, in the funeral home.

Bruce A. Sebastian, 52

PENN YAN, N.Y. -- Bruce A. Sebastian, 52, of 336 Clinton St., formerly of Northboro, Mass., died Saturday, June 2, at home of cancer.

He leaves his wife of 19 years, Patricia (Wulf) Sebastian; his father, Sherman C. Sebastian of South Carolina; two brothers, Jay L. Sebastian of Northboro and Shaun Sebastian of Marlboro, Mass.; six sisters, Sheryl L. Rafus, Holly Sebastian, Leslie Arsenault, all of Northboro, Janna Saulnier of New Brunswick, Canada, Lauren Doherty of Mansfield, Mass., and Carla Bailis of Fort Lee, N.J.; and nephews and nieces. Born in Philadelphia, son of Marilyn (Reynard) Sebastian, he graduated from Algonquin Regional High School, Northboro, in 1967.

At the time of his death, Mr. Sebastian was warehouse and supply manager at Iron Age Corp.

He was an avid golfer.A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, in Leland-Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northboro. Burial will be private. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ontario Yates Hospice, c/o Finger Lakes Visiting Nurse Service, 756 Pre-emption Road, Geneva, NY 14456.
