LEOMINSTER -- Isabelle M. (Marquardt) Cull, 82, formerly of 1160 Main St. and formerly of Erie, Pa., died Friday, Jan. 25, in Leo P. LaChance Nursing Center, Gardner.
Her husband, Donald Cull, died last year. She leaves a daughter, Donna Peck of Westminster; and three grandchildren. A son, David W. Cull, died in 1969. A brother, Theodore Marquardt, and three sisters, Dorothy Knecht, Eileen Dranzek and Betty J. Newport, also predeceased her. She was born in Erie, daughter of Carl and Clara (Henker) Marquardt, and graduated from Academy High School in Erie.
Mrs. Cull was a former member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church, Erie, and attended Westminster First Presbyterian Church.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Feb. 2, from Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home, 4940 Koehler Road, Erie, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 606 East 38th St., Erie. Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery, Erie. There are no local calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 606 East 38th St., Erie, PA 16510. MAYNARD -- Mary A. Dewar, 101, of Maynard, and Prince Edward Island, Canada, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, after a long illness.
She leaves three sons, including Aaron A. Dewar of West Brookfield and Bradford W. Dewar of Hubbardston; grandchildren; and a close companion, Karl Karsh of Berlin.
The funeral service will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., MA 01701. Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield, is directing arrangements.

UXBRIDGE -- Dores J. Dion, 78, of Centennial Court, died Monday, Feb. 4, in Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital, Milford, after an illness.
His wife, Doris G. (Pouliot) Dion, died in 1985. He leaves a son, Kenneth P. Dion of the Whitinsville section of Northbridge; three sisters, Fernande Pouliot of Uxbridge, Yolande Kolodziejczak and Connie Cipriano, both of Warwick, R.I.; a granddaughter; nephews and nieces. A brother, Harvey H. Dion, and two sisters, Marie Langlois and Alice Mandeville, predeceased him. He was born in Granby, Quebec, son of Ovila J. and Angelina (Charron) Dion, and lived most of his life in Uxbridge.
Mr. Dion worked 11 years at Nelmor Co., retiring in 1984. Previously, he worked 40 years at Whitinsville Spinning Co., Whitinsville. He was a member of St. Mary's Church; a former navigator and member of the Uxbridge Council Knights of Columbus; and a member of Bishop O'Reilly Assembly Knights of Columbus, Worcester.
The funeral will be held Friday, Feb. 8, from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Road, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 71 Mendon St. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours are 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Renovation Fund, 71 Mendon St., Uxbridge, MA 01569.
Hazel L. Dumont, 101

LEICESTER -- Hazel L. Dumont, 101, of 1073 Main St., Leicester's oldest living resident, died Saturday, Jan. 26, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center in Worcester after being stricken ill at home.
She leaves several nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Samuel, George and Theodore Dumont, and two sisters, Bertha Powers and Mae Marco, predeceased her. She was born in Northboro, daughter of Samuel and Susan (Stone) Dumont, and lived in Leicester most of her life.
Miss Dumont was a weaver 51 years at the former Carleton Woolen Co. in Rochdale, retiring in 1965.
She was a member of St. Pius X Church. She helped organize the first Girl Scout Troop in Rochdale.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, Jan. 29, from Morrison-Morin Funeral Home, 1131 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St. Burial will be in St. Roch's Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, in the funeral home.
Robert J. Dunn, 69

PHOENIX -- Robert J. Dunn, 69, of Phoenix, formerly of Millbury, Mass., died Sunday, Jan. 27, in Coronado Care and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness.
He leaves two brothers, Roland F. Dunn of Houston and Thomas R. Dunn of Darien, Conn.; and a sister, Barbara L. LaBreck of Millbury. He was born in Worcester, son of Roland N. and Lucille N. (Vigeant) Dunn. He graduated from Millbury High School and earned a mechanical engineering degree from WPI in Worcester, Mass., and a master's degree in political science from Syracuse University. He served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1954.
For 22 years, Mr. Dunn was an engineer for the city of Phoenix, retiring in 1994. He previously worked for Rockwood Sprinkler, Worcester, and for the Public Administration Service, Chicago. He was a horse enthusiast in his retirement.
A memorial service was held at the Church of the Good Shepherd and burial was in Veterans Cemetery, both in Phoenix.
Wilfred A. Earle, 75

BROOKFIELD -- Wilfred A. Earle, 75, of 9 Second St., a World War II veteran, died Saturday, Feb. 2, in Spring Valley Nursing Home, Worcester, after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 33 years, Helen L. (Dansereau) Earle; six sons, Robert A. Earle of Brookfield, Robert A. Earle of Westboro, James C. Earle of Spencer, Bradley J. Earle of North Brookfield, Lee W. Chouinard of Chicopee and Keith J. Chouinard of West Brookfield; three daughters, Penny L. Mitko of Barre, Stacy Lynn Mullady of Ashford, Conn., and Donna M. Morse of Rutland; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A son, Daniel J. Chouinard, and a daughter, Tina Marie Earle, predeceased him. He was born in North Brookfield, son of Arthur W. and Ida F. (Wine) Earle. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.
He was a member of Brookfield Congregational Church and its choir. He was an avid musician and played many instruments.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, in Brookfield Congregational Church on the Common. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, in Pillsbury Funeral Home, Old West Brookfield Road, Brookfield.

SHREWSBURY -- Douglas S. Fairbanks, 82, of 99 Francis Gardens Court, a veteran of World War II, died Monday, Jan. 28, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center, Worcester, after an illness.
His wife, Marlene (Buron) Fairbanks, died in 1991. He leaves a daughter, Caro Pierce of Worcester; two sisters, Kathleen Sandell of Northboro and Anne Murphy of Worcester; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A son, Douglas S. Fairbanks Jr. of Worcester, died in 1948. A daughter, Maureen Dell'Aquila in North Carolina, died in 1990. He was born in Shrewsbury, son of Louis A. and Carol K. (Spring) Fairbanks. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe. He had also served in the Navy.
Mr. Fairbanks worked for Quick Deliver in Worcester for 30 years.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, in Holden Chapel, 279 Reservoir St., Holden. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, in Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors, 838 Main St., Worcester.

WEST BOYLSTON -- Marguerite F. (Foisy) Fancy, 81, of 23 Western Ave., and of Sandwich, died Saturday, Feb. 2, in UMass Memorial Medical Center-Memorial Campus.
Her husband, Richard Fancy, died in 1998. She leaves a sister, Winifred M. Walker of Holden; and three nieces, Charlene M. Argurkis of West Boylston, Charlotte A. Santimaw of Holden and Elizabeth L. DiStefano of Worcester. Two brothers, Edmond Foisy of Worcester and Arthur Foisy of Charlton; and three sisters, Beatrice Steffen of Worcester, Cecilia Oberg of Holden and Exilda Koleshis of Auburn, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Giguere) Foisy. She graduated from South High School, Worcester, and St. Joseph School of Nursing, Lawrence. She was a member of the U.S. Army Cadet Corp during World War II, stationed at the former Fort Devens and at Camp Edwards.
Mrs. Fancy was formerly a registered nurse for the West Boylston school system, and previously worked for U.S. Steel and Wyman-Gordon Co.
The funeral will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the spring in Mount Vernon Cemetery. There are no calling hours. TOWNSEND -- Lucile A. (August) Farkas, 84, of 210 Lunenburg Road, a retired solderer, died Saturday, Jan. 26, in the Highlands Long Term Care Center, Fitchburg.
Her husband, Martin E. Farkas, died in 1975. She leaves a daughter, Evelyn M. Krasenics, with whom she lived; two grandsons, Richard L. and Steven C. Krasenics, both of Townsend; a nephew, Stanley Wysocki of Stratford, Conn.; and a great-grandson. She was born in Suffield, Conn., daughter of Anthony and Mary (Tockash) August, and lived 26 years here.
Mrs. Farkas worked 15 years as a solderer for Norden Technology and United Aircraft Co., retiring in 1974.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, in T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main St. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. LANCASTER -- John A. Fleming, 43, of 181 Parker Road, a painter, died Friday, Feb. 1, in HealthAlliance Leominster Hospital.
He leaves his parents, Roger and Marilyn (Parsons) Fleming of Lancaster; three sisters, Cherri Sauls of Princeton, Lori Fleming of Seattle and Sheila L. Fleming of St. Petersburg, Fla.; nephews and nieces. He was born in Bangor, Maine, and lived most of his life in Lancaster. He graduated from South Lancaster Academy.
Besides being a painter, Mr. Fleming enjoyed restoring older vehicles.
No funeral service is planned. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity. Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, is directing arrangements.
Dorothy A. Forsberg, 88

WORCESTER -- Dorothy A. Forsberg, 88, of 11 Trinity Ave., a retired secretary, died Tuesday Feb. 4, in Coleman House, Northboro.
She leaves a niece, Susan Mitchell of Worcester; a nephew, David G. Mitchell of Mount View, Calif.; two grandnieces. A sister, Helen F. Mitchell, died in January. She was born in Worcester, daughter of John O. and Lydia O. (Olson) Forsberg. She graduated from North High School and from Salters Secretarial School.
Miss Forsberg was a secretary at the Veterans Administration offices in Rutland and later in Worcester, retiring 16 years ago. She was a member of Adam Square Congregational Church, the Green Mountain Club, and the Business and Professional Women's Association.
A memorial service for Miss Forsberg and her sister, Helen, will be held at a later date. Burial will be at the family's convenience. There are no calling hours. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., is directing arrangements.
Elmo N. Garofoli, 84

CLINTON -- Elmo N. Garofoli, 84, of 35 Kilmurray St., a master home builder and a veteran of World War II, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, in his home, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 61 years, Carmella H. (Palmaccio) Garofoli; a son, Elmo N. Garofoli Jr. of Clinton; a daughter, Dorothy B. Hutchinson of Sandwich; a brother, Peter A. Garofoli of Clinton; two sisters, Frances M. Healey and Eva J. Vitone, both of Clinton; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was born in Clinton, son of Annibale and Merina (Ruberti) Garofoli. He graduated from Clinton High School. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving with the Seabees at Midway.
He owned and operated Elmo N. Garofoli Construction Co. for more than 40 years, retiring in 1982. He previously worked several years with his father at the former A. Garofoli Construction Co. Mr. Garofoli was a master home builder and designer, and oversaw the complete renovation of the Nypro Inc. headquarters in Clinton.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, the Clinton Exchange Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Savoia Lodge Sons of Italy and the Carpenters Union Local 475. He was an avid bowler and an accomplished artist.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Feb. 2, from Robert J. McNally Funeral Home, 304 Church St., with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 1 Cross St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster. Her husband, Leroy W. Garven, died in 1974. She leaves a son, Lenwood W. Garven, with whom she lived; a daughter, Julia Garven Millett of South Lancaster; two sisters, Irwina Smith of Laveen, Ariz., and Marjory Gleason of West Paris, Maine; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was born in Eden, Vt., daughter of James and Josie (Smith) Kennison.
Mrs. Garven was a member the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Lancaster.
