MARY ANN AGOSTINI
CUMBERLAND - Mary Ann (Adonizio) Agostini, 86, of Allegany Street, Cumberland, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 1998, at Memorial Hospital in Cumberland following a lengthy illness.
Born Nov. 16, 1911, in Jenkins Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Charles A. Adonizio, Sr. and the late Philomena (Addonizio) Adonizio. She was preceded in death on July 11, 1992, by her husband of 56 years, Dr. Roy T. Agostini, former CSX Medical Examiner; her stepmother, Lucia (Fiorentini) Adonizio; and three brothers, Dr. Anthony Adonizio, West Pittston, Pa., Samuel Adonizio, Philadelphia, Pa., and Philip Adonizio, Pittston, Pa.

Mrs. Agostini was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved caring for her home and her flower garden, specializing in raising roses, azaleas and rhododendron. Mrs. Agostini graduated from Pittston High School in 1931. She also attended Bloomsburg State University. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Cumberland.

Surviving are her devoted children, a daughter, Mary Ann C. Flueck, Lexington, Ky.; a son, Dr. Leroy T. Agostini, Cumberland; two brothers, Carl F. Adonizio and Charles A. Adonizio, Jr.; and two sisters, Angeline Borocci and Anna Stama, all of Pittston, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Christa A. Flueck, Hans A. Flueck, Michael A. Flueck and Charles A. Flueck, all of Lexington, Thomas C. Agostini, Bethlehem, Pa., Daniel L. Agostini, Columbus, Ohio, and Jana M. Agostini, Pittsburgh, Pa.

Friends will be received at the Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William St., Pittston, on Sunday, Jan. 4, 1998, from 7 to 9 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Jan. 5, 1998, at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Pittston, with the Father Joseph Adonizio officiating.

Pallbearers will be Thomas C. Agostini and Daniel L. Agostini, grandsons, and Robert Adonizio, Charles Borocci, Ronald Musto, William Thomas, John Musto and Charles Adonizio.

Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1114, Cumberland, MD 21501.

Local arrangements were made by Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland.

FRANKLIN D. COOK
CUMBERLAND - Franklin DeLano Cook, 65, of 224 E. Harrison St., Cumberland, died Saturday, July 25, 1998, at Allegany County Nursing Home.
Born March 20, 1933, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late William H. Cook and the late Emma L. (Wilson) Cook. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, William Cook, Freeman Cook, James Cook and Robert Cook; and two sisters, Dorothy Uhl and Wilma Franciosi.

Mr. Cook was a former employee of the Kelly Springfield Tire Company. He was a Methodist by faith.

Surviving are three sisters, Ethel Mae Smith, Cumberland, Celesta Upole, Mountain Lake Park, and Martha Boyce, Aberdeen; a special nephew, Fred Cook, Cumberland; a special niece, Bonnie Shuck, Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Cook's wishes were that he be cremated at The Cumberland Crematory, 404 Decatur St., Cumberland.

Services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were made by Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland.

WENDY M. DOLAN
TYLER, Texas - Wendy Marie (Wilt) Dolan, age 37, of Tyler, formerly of Cumberland, Md., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998. She died at East Texas Medical Center Hospice, Tyler, after having been a patient at Mother Frances Hospital. She had been battling with cancer for over three years.
Born on Oct. 31, 1961, in Cumberland, and a 1979 graduate of Allegany High School, she was the daughter of the late James E. Wilt Sr. and Bessie May (Winters) Milburn.

Surviving are her husband of 18 years, Donald Lee Dolan; two sons, Justin Lee Dolan and Christopher Don Dolan, all of Tyler; her mother Bessie M. Milburn, Cumberland; two brothers, Larry C. Wilt and wife, Rebecca, Hagerstown, James E. Wilt Jr., and wife, Laura, Abilene; one sister, Kimberly Lynn Taylor and husband, Donald, Cumberland; one step-sister, Sue Brady, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; one very special mother- and father-in-law, Kay and Don Dolan, LaVale, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The body was cremated.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Cash Valley Road, LaVale. Family and friends can meet for a luncheon following services in the Church Cultural Hall.

Wendy was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

CHARLES O. ALBRIGHT
LAVALE - Charles Oliver Albright, 76, of LaVale, formerly of Carlisle, Pa., died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998, at home while under the care of Memorial Hospital Hospice Home Care.
Born July 12, 1921, in Allentown, Pa., he was the son of the late William A. Albright and Helen (Uerffer) Albright Dressell.

Mr. Albright was a retired plant supervisor for the Kimberly-Clark Paper Mill. He was a lifetime member of the Order of Eagles Aerie 1299 of Carlisle; member of the First Lutheran Church; and member of the local AARP. He was a member of the White Circle of Carlisle. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.

Surviving are a wife of 50 years, Frances L. (Lum) Albright; one son, Charles L. Albright and wife Linda, LaVale, with whom he resided; one daughter, Cathleen A. Fichtner and husband Daniel, Willow Street, Pa.; one brother, Harold W. Albright, Emmaus, Pa.; one sister, Karyl Smith, Alamogordo, N.M.; three grandchildren, Kristen Thomas and husband Benjamin, Benjamin Fichtner, and Katy Fichtner; four step-grandchildren, Kevin Walbert and wife Krista, Scott Puffenbarger and wife Kelli, and Jonathan and Joshua Puffenbarger; two great-grandchildren, Victoria Thomas and Veronica Thomas; and three step-great-grandchildren, Megan and Bradley Walbert, and Brooke Puffenbarger.

Services will be conducted at the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle.

Interment will be in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.

The Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, is in charge of the local arrangements.

LAURA A. COOKE
CUMBERLAND - Laura Agnes Cooke, 101, of the Allegany County Nursing Home, formerly of 119 Decatur St., Cumberland, died Sunday, March 22, 1998, at the nursing home.
Born Jan. 19, 1897, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Small and Sarah Jane (Hodel) Small. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin P. Cooke, in 1956; and a niece whom she reared, Ann Elizabeth (Small) Goad.

Mrs. Cook was a sales lady in the millinery department at Roseabaum's Department Store in Cumberland. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

Surviving are a great-nephew in Allegany County, Sheriff David A. Goad and wife Mary; special nieces, Farrah Davies and Bethany Goad; special nephews, Scott Davies and Nicholas Davies; two nieces, Rose M. (Small) Selby and husband Carey, Cumberland, and Jean (Small) Lusk and husband Raymond; and two nephews, Michael Small, Mount Airey, and Raymond Small, LaVale.

Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Milton Hipsley officiating.

Interment will be in the SS. Peter and Paul cemetery.

CHRISTINA E. BREHM
CUMBERLAND - Christina Elizabeth (Heinrich) Brehm, 74, of Hilltop Drive, Cumberland, died Friday, Sept. 18, 1998, at St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Center, Frostburg.
Born Dec. 30, 1923, in Ridgeley, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late George and Frances (Schultz) Heinrich. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, David Scott Coffman; and a son-in-law, Francis Hunter Coffman.

Mrs. Brehm was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Cumberland. In the 1960s and 1970s, Mrs. Brehm taught handicapped children swimming, boating and general water safety. In October 1976 the Allegany Chapter of the American Red Cross presented her an award, recognizing her for "Outstanding Service for her 15 years of Loyal and Dedicated Service to the League for Crippled Children." She was an assistant instructor for the American Red Cross Canoe and Boating Clinics. She was active with the Senior Citizens in Allegany County, a member of S.C.A.M.P.S. and won a gold medal in 1984 for Square Dancing at the Senior Olympics in Towson as a member of the "Senior Squares," she entertained nursing home patients in the tri-state area with dancing exhibitions, and was also active in several bowling leagues, participating in the senior bowling (10 pin) and the vitamin (duck pin) leagues.

Surviving are her husband, Lawrence Samuel Brehm; two daughters, Marie Elaine Coffman, Chapel Hill, N.C., Sandra Elizabeth McCormick and husband, John, Cumberland; one brother, Casper Heinrich, Cumberland; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.

At Mrs. Brehm's request there will be no viewing or service. Her body was cremated.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Hospital Hospice Unit of the Western Maryland Health System.

Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., is handling the arrangements.
