ANNA B. HARTELL
CUMBERLAND - Anna B. Hartell, 83, of Cumberland, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998, at Sinai Hospital, Baltimore.
Born April 20, 1915, in Little Orleans, she was the daughter of the late Emanuel and Ida Belle (Snyder) Keefer. She also was preceded in death by her husband, John Kenneth Hartell; one son, Donald L. Hartell; two sisters; and one brother.
Surviving are special friends with whom she resided, Sterling C. Raver and wife, Elsie, Finksburg; four sisters, Melissa Hartell, Mary Merica, Emma Warner and Genevieve Keefer; two grandchildren, Gary A. Hartell; and great-granddaughter, Jessica J. Hartell, Cumberland, Nancy K. Lease, and husband, William; and great-granddaughter, Andrea K. Lease, Cedar Rock Stables, Fort Ashby, W.Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mark C. Dill officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
MICHAEL M. HARTMAN
KERNERSVILLE, N.C. - Michael McCoy Hartman, 54, of 6734 Barrister Road, Kernersville, formerly of Cumberland, Md., died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998, at his home following a brief illness.
Born in Syracuse, N.Y., he was a son of Harry and Mary McNeill Hartman. He was employed by JB Hunt Trucking Co. He was a part time employee of Food Lion Inc. While living in Maryland, he was employed by the Western Maryland Railroad. He had been a resident of Kernersville for 25 years where he was an active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. He also was very involved with the MS Society.
He was married
to the former Evelyn Rummell.
Surviving in addition to his parents are one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Rick Barkley; one brother, Peter Hartman, Cumberland; one niece and one nephew, Amy and Jason Hartman, Cumberland.
A memorial service will be conducted at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kernersville, Monday at 7 p.m. by Father Joseph Tustin.

STEPHANIE L. HARTUNG
CUMBERLAND - Stephanie Lynn Hartung, 30, of 515 Welch Ave., Cumberland, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born in Cumberland on Nov. 21, 1968, she was the daughter of P. Fred Hartung Jr. and Molly (Burk) Hartung of 13 Glenview Drive, LaVale.
She attended Friends Aware School on Holland Street, Cumberland.
Besides her parents she is survived by a sister, Tressa L. Nicewarner and husband, Scott, Hagerstown; a niece, Caitlin E. Nicewarner; and a nephew, Jordan J. Nicewarner.
Private services for family only will be held at a later date.

REV. ELLIS L. "BUSS" HARVEY
SWANTON - The Rev. Ellis L. "Buss" Harvey, 77, of Bittinger Road, Swanton, died Monday, Sept. 21, 1998, at his home.
Born June 15, 1921, in Vindex, he was the son of the late Arthur S. and Jessie M. (Lambert) Harvey. He was also preceded in death by one son, Richard W. Harvey, in January 1998.
He served as a pastor with the Evangelical United Brethren/United Methodist Church from 1967 to 1984 and as an associate pastor until 1994. During his ministry, he served the Terra Alta, Deep Creek Lake, Kitzmillter/Mount Bethel, Albright, Keyser/Calvary, Grantsville and Gormania charges.
He attended the Garrett Community College and the Wesleyan Theological Seminary, Washington, D.C. In his early years, he was a coal miner, served as postmaster at the Swanton post office for 22 years and was an assistant scoutmaster for 15 years.
He was an army veteran of World War II and received two purple hearts. He was a member of the American Legion, Accident.
He is survived by his wife, Mary June (Custer) Harvey; one daughter, Sandra K. Schofield and husband, Brian, Bittinger; one daughter-in-law, Betty (Laub) Harvey, New Martinsville, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held at the Swanton Otterbein United Methodist Church on Thursday, Sept. 24, 1998, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Charles Teets and the Rev. Meredith Ball officiating.
Interment will be in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland.
Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by members of the various veterans organizations in southern Garrett County.

NORA V. JENKINS
OAKLAND - Nora V. Jenkins, 80, of Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home Hospice Unit, Oakland, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 1998, at the nursing home.
Born June 18, 1918, in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late William James and Bessie Via (Whitacre) Luckey. She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Jenkins, Sr., in 1986.
Mrs. Jenkins was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was an active member of the Democrat Club, Cumberland, and was a precinct worker for the elections.
Surviving are one daughter, Ellen Baker, and husband, Richard, Cumberland; three sons, David Bradley Jenkins and wife, Joan, Middle River, N.Y., William James Jenkins and wife, Audrey, Baltimore, John W. Jenkins, Jr., Ridgeley, W.Va.; 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 1 p.m. with Branch President Jackson Hamrick officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Amon Stark, Billy Towson, Gary Galloway, Wecon Turein, Mike Baker and Larry Baker.
GEORGIE M. HARVEY
CUMBERLAND - Georgie Marie (Trennum) Harvey, 73, of Cumberland Manor, formerly of Race Street, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1998, at home.
Born March 9, 1925, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late George Trennum and Bertha (Beck) Trennum Dicken. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William F. Harvey Jr.
Mrs. Harvey was a homemaker and a member of the Cumberland Manor Tenants Association.
Surviving are three daughters, Dorothy Stafford, Marggie Lapp and husband, Gary, Faye Huff and husband, Robert, all of Cumberland; one son, William F. Harvey III and wife, Gail, Cumberland; eight grandchildren, Dorothy Davis and husband, Jack, John Stafford and wife, Sherry, Bobby Huff and wife, Arlene, Margaret Headley, Jason and Aaron Lapp, Brandi and Billy Harvey, all of Cumberland; and eight great-grandchildren, Randy Davis, Eric Burley, Brandon, Ian and Erica Stafford, Nathaniel and Tyler Huff and Rebecca Headley.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Samuel Seletyn officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Cumberland.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, John Stafford, Bobby Huff, Jason Lapp, Aaron Lapp, Billy Harvey and great-grandson, Randy Davis.
