HAZEL HARVEY
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Hazel Harvey, 88, of Alexandria, formerly of Oakland, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998, at the Cherry Dale Nursing Home, Alexandria.
Born April 16, 1909, in Kitzmiller, she was the daughter of the late T. Edward and Elva J. (Sharpless) Harvey. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey L. Harvey in 1968; by one sister, Willa Speicher; and by three brothers, Ervin Luke Harvey, Bruce Harvey and Dale Harvey.

She was a co-owner of the 219 Drive In Theater. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Alexandria, and was a former member of the Lakeside Assembly of God Church, Oakland.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Harvey, Alexandria; one son, Jimmie Harvey, Baltimore; one sister, Helen Bittinger, Smithsburg; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Collette and the Rev. Thomas Gulbronson officiating. Interment will be in Deer Park cemetery.

LULA P. HARVEY
MOUNTAIN LAKE PARK - Lula Pearl Harvey, 96, of Melbourne, Fla., formerly of Mountain Lake Park, died Tuesday at home.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Bethel United Methodist Church, Mountain Lake Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church Building Fund, 610 Young St., Melbourne FL 32935.

MARY R. HAUGEN
LONACONING - Mary Russell (Love) Haugen, 88, of Douglas Avenue, Lonaconing, died Friday, May 29, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Aug. 16, 1909, at Barton, "Mamie," as she was known to family and friends, was the daughter of the late Robert T. Love and Jennie (Russell) Love; and the widow of Joseph K. Haugen.

Surviving are two sons, Robert L. Haugen, Thurmont, and Joseph A. Haugen, Highland Village, Texas; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Haugen was the last surviving member of the Love family, which included five sisters and two brothers.

Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, Sunday, May 31, 1998, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 1, 1998, at 12:30 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Mortimore officiating.

Interment will be at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg.

HELEN L. HAUSER
MOUNTAIN LAKE PARK - Helen Louise Hauser, age 71, of Mountain Lake Park, died on Monday, June 22, 1998, at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.
She was born Nov. 9, 1926, in Brookside, W.Va., and was a daughter of the late Jay C. Shaffer and Dora (Selders) Shaffer. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Arvin B. Hauser, in 1984.

Mrs. Hauser retired from the HP Stores with 20+ years of service, and was a member of the Faith Evangelical Free Church.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Hauser, Bath, Maine, and David Hauser, Newport, N.C.; one daughter, Roxanne Hauser, Mountain Lake Park; two brothers, Robert Shaffer, Cresaptown, and C. Glenn Shaffer, Mountain Lake Park; one sister, Josephine DeWitt, Fairmont, W.Va.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

At Mrs. Hauser's request, there will be no visitation.

Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of Garrett County Memorial Gardens on Wednesday at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Fred Poorbaugh officiating.

Interment will follow.

In lieu of flowers Mrs. Hauser requested that memorials be directed to the Faith Evangelical Free Church Building Fund.

The Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, is in charge of the arrangements.

GRACE E. HAWKINS
FROSTBURG - Grace Edith Hawkins, 80, of 300 Bennington Court, Kettering, formerly of 90 Washington St., Frostburg, died Saturday, May 16, 1998, at her residence.
Born July 3, 1917, in Salisbury, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Dillon L. and C. Elizabeth (Baum) Ringler. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Hawkins Jr., in 1957; and one son, Richard J. Hawkins III, in 1997.

Mrs. Hawkins was a graduate of Beall High School and retired from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. She was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ, Frostburg.

Surviving is one son with whom she resided, R. Dale Hawkins, Upper Marlboro.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Lawrence A. Neumark officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in the St. Paul-Wilhelm cemetery, Salisbury, Pa.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Salem United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, 78 Broadway, Frostburg, MD 21532.

WILLIAM S. HAYDEN
WAYNESBORO, Va. - William Solomon Hayden, 93, of Waynesboro, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 1998, at Augusta Medical Center, Fishersville.
He was born in Charles County, Md., on July 23, 1905, the son of William H. and Elizabeth Howe Hayden.

In 1956 he married Katherine J. Kenney of Frostburg, Md.

He retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground in 1968 and moved to Fort Myers, Fla., returning to Virginia in 1994 after his wife's death.

He is survived by one brother, Marion M. Hayden, Hockessin, Del. He also has 16 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

The family will receive friends at the Mullins & Thompson Fredericksburg Chapel on Friday, Nov. 13, 1998, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Fredericksburg, on Saturday, Nov. 14, 1998, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Christopher M. Buckner and Deacon Doug Kenney officiating.

Interment will be in the Oak Hill cemetery.

WILLIAM R. HAYTHORN
BALTIMORE - William R. Haythorn, 35, of 1310 Linden Green, Baltimore, formerly of Ellerslie, died Saturday, June 6, 1998, at Maryland General Hospital, Baltimore.
He was born on Nov. 20, 1962, and was the son of Thomas and Helen Haythorn, Ellerslie.

Mr. Haythorn was employed as Administrative Coordinator for the University of Maryland.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Deter, Cumberland; and a friend, Michael G. Polizzi, of Baltimore.

Friends will be received at the Leonard J. Ruck Funeral Home Inc., 5305 Harford Road, Baltimore, on Tuesday, June 9, 1998, from 7 to 9 p.m.

A memorial service will be conducted at Old Otterbein United Methodist Church, Baltimore, on Wednesday, June 10, 1998, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dennis Dorsch officiating.

Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Red Cross, 4700 Mount Hope Drive, Baltimore, MD 21215-3231.
