LILLIE MAY OSBORNE
CUMBERLAND - Lillie May (Emerick) Osborne, 68, of 145 Kennells Mills Road, Hyndman, Pa., died Sunday, Aug. 9, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
She was born June 4, 1931, in Southampton Township, Somerset County, Pa., a daughter of the late Clarence B. and Soloma (Clites) Emerick.

Mrs. Osborne is survived by her husband of nine years, William G. "Ozzie" Osborne; five brothers, Chester E., married to Doris (Shroyer) Emerick, Leo M., widower of Delores (Rowe) Emerick, and Vernon, married to Shirley (Merkle) Emerick, all of Hyndman, Ray E., married to Wilda (Lewis) Emerick, Cumberland, Curtis S., married to Helen (Moore) Emerick, Lewes, Del.; and four sisters, Eva E., wife of Leo Emerick, Cumberland, Annie P., wife of Leroy "Boots" Deneen, Ruby V., wife of John "Johnny" Shroyer, and Ilene M., wife of Gerald "Gerry" Kennell, all of Hyndman.

One brother, John W. Emerick, and one sister, Blanche Shroyer Ohler, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Osborne worked for 24 years as a wiring technician for Winchell Engineering, Germantown. She was a member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, Kennells Mills, Pa.

Friends will be received at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, Kennells Mills Road, Hyndman, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Henry L. Crissinger officiating.

Interment will be in Comps cemetery.

The Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, is in charge of arrangements.

MARIAN T. OSBOURNE
CUMBERLAND - Marian T. Osbourne, 84, of Cumberland, died Thursday, March 5, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born May 19, 1913, in Bolivar, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Milton K. and Florence Lee (Wharton) Osbourne. She also was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Miss Osbourne was retired from the Celanese Corp., Cumberland, after 43 years of service.

Surviving are one brother, Raymond Osbourne, Cumberland; and one sister, Mildred Miles, Edina, Minn.

Services will be conducted at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Lloyd B. McCanna officiating.

Interment will be in Zion Memorial Park.

PANSY L. OSTER
CUMBERLAND - Pansy Leona Webb Oster, 87, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born May 24, 1911, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Harry Stottlemyer Webb and Ida Bell "Eddy" Webb. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Edgar Oster, in 1972; and one sister, Bertha May Meyers.

Mrs. Oster was a retired Practical Nurse at Sylvan Retreat, and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Surviving are one son, Glenden Albert Oster and wife, Linda, Kirby, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Eric Scott Oster, Margus Glen Oster; and two great-grandchildren, Allysa Marie Oster, and Christopher Glen Oster.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Jewell officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

The family requests that contributions be made to the Grace United Methodist Church, 130 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, MD 21502.

WALTER C. OTTO
ACCIDENT - Walter Clay Otto, 90, of the Maust Personal Care Home, Accident, formerly of Springs, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 11, 1998, at the Meyersdale Medical Center, Meyersdale, Pa.
Born March 9, 1907, in Springs, he was a son of the late Daniel D. and Mary (Maust) Otto. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Barbra L. (Wisseman) Otto, on March 4, 1993; two brothers, Roy and Lloyd Otto; and a sister, Cora Otto.

Mr. Otto was a member and former pastor of the Springs Mennonite Church. He also was interim pastor for the Bethesda Church of the Brethren for a number of years. He was a retired part-owner of Otto Brick and Tile, Springs.

Surviving are three sons, Darrel Otto, Wheat Ridge, Colo., Bradley Otto, Springs, and Robert Otto, Brussels, Belgium; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the Springs Mennonite Church on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Steven Heatwole officiating.

Interment will be in the Springs cemetery.

The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the services.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Springs Mennonite Church.

RUTH E. OWENS
BARTON - Ruth Elizabeth (Dowell) Owens, 77, of 3012 Pine Swamp Road, Barton, died Feb. 7, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born June 13, 1920, at Dunkirk, Calvert County, she was a daughter of the late John Milton Dowell and Nannie E. (Chaney) Dowell. She also was preceded in death by one son, William Douglas O'Dell, in 1992.

Mrs. Owens was a member of the Mount Oak Methodist Church, Mitchellville. She was a former employee of Kay Jewelers, Alexandria, Va.

Surviving are her husband, Randolph P. Owens, Jr., and one son, Roger L. O'Dell, Sr., and wife, Connie S., Chesapeake Beach; one daughter, Darlene Williams and husband, Leroy, Brandywine; two step-sons, James R. Owens and wife Linda, Upper Marlboro, and Thomas A. Owens and wife, Charla L., Mitchellville. Also surviving are one sister, Thelma Floyd, Chesapeake Beach; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one niece, Nancy.

Friends will be received at the Mount Oak Methodist Church, Mitchellville, Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Services will be at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George Anderson officiating.

Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Gardens, Dunkirk.

Arrangements are being handled by Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing.

SARAH A. OWENS
LONACONING - Sarah Antoinette Owens, 100, of Egle Nursing Home, Lonaconing, formerly of Pine Swamp Road, Barton, Maryland, died Jan. 25, 1998, at the nursing home.
Born Oct. 11, 1897, in Prince Georges County, Md., she was the daughter of the late Samuel Beall and Virginia (Bowregard) Beall. Mrs. Owens was Methodist by faith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Randolph P. Owens Sr., two sisters, and four brothers.

Surviving are a son, Randolph P. Owens Jr., Barton, and a daughter, Edna L. Bond, Orlando, Florida, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

At her request, she was cremated. There will be no visitation or memorial service. Arrangements are being handled by Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A.

MARY FRANCES PAIGE
McHENRY - Mary Frances Paige, 84, of McHenry, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
She was born June 7, 1913, in Crellin and was a daughter of the late George J. "Pete" Yutzy and Maude (Sanders) Yutzy.

Mrs. Paige graduated from the Passavant School of Nursing in Pittsburgh in 1934; did post-graduate work in psychiatry at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Washington, D.C., after which she worked as a supervisor at the State Hospital in New Jersey. She later worked at Sacred Heart Hospital in Cumberland and retired after 20 years' service at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.

Surviving are three daughters, Joan Currence, Canton, Ohio, Jean Close, McHenry, and Deborah Swiger, Oakland; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. James F. Remley officiating.

Interment will be in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.

The family suggests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Garrett County Memorial Hospital Foundation or to the Ashby-Frantz Trust, c/o the First United National Bank, Oakland.
