DELLA M. REIGHARD
LAVALE - Della Mae Reighard, 102, of LaVale, died Thursday, July 2, 1998, at Lions Manor Nursing Home.
Born Oct. 10, 1895, near Hyndman, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Emma (Lowery) Lowery.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin B. Reighard, in 1967, and her daughter, Betty Serf, in 1993.
Mrs. Reighard was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, where she belonged to the Tsemed Sunday School Class. She also was a member of Cumberland Chapter #56, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include one daughter, Emma Grace Gingerich, LaVale; three grandchildren, Michael Gingerich, Kenneth Gingerich, and Linda Serf; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., corner of Greene and Smallwood streets, Cumberland, on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Lee A. McDaniel officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

LOUISE A. REITH
CUMBERLAND - Louise Annabelle Reith, 86, formerly of Booth Towers, Cumberland, beloved mother and grandmother, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, May 5, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born June 5, 1911, in Confluence, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William A. and Bertha (Reiber) Burnworth. She also was preceded in death by two husbands, Carl L. Beck and Carl F. Reith; and two sisters, Edna Lucille and Ruth Reiber Burnworth.
Mrs. Reith was a retired secretary for the Cumberland Credit Bureau and District Court in Allegany County. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Surviving are five daughters, Henrietta L. Fagan and husband Edward, Cumberland, Ruth Ann Loy, Raleigh, N.C., Nancy L. Alt and husband Maynard, Bedford, Pa., Carlene S. McCullough and husband Robert, Bedford, Pa., and Carole E. Lennox and husband Harry, LaVale; 13 grandchildren, David, Carla and Michael Fagan, Lisa Lashley, Todd and Brian Loy, Darrell, Michelle and Kimberlee Alt, Darla Semanek, Tony McCullough, Jodi Biser and Barbara Lennox; and eight great-grandchildren, Heather and Sean Scott-Fagan, Matthew and Marcus Lashley, Nicholas Semanek, Kristen, Emily and Hannah McCullough.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Cornerstone Baptist Church on Saturday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Daren Ritchey officiating.
Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Todd Loy, Brian Loy, Darrell Alt, Tony McCullough, Michael Fagan, Richie Biser and Erik Semanek.
EVELYN P. REUSCHEL
CUMBERLAND - Evelyn P. Reuschel, 80, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1997, at her residence.
Born April 20, 1917, in Kempton, she was the daughter of the late Clealand W. and Nellie E. (Northcraft) Cline. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Allan L. Reuschel; one son, Allan Leroy Reuschel; one brother, Clealand W. Cline Jr.; and two sisters, Pauline Cline and Mary Catherine Hutchinson.
Mrs. Reuschel was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the choir. She also was a member of the September Singers.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Herring, Cumberland, and Jacqueline Ann McCoy and husband Evers, Altoona, Pa.; four brothers, Kenneth G. Cline and wife Betty, Pittsburgh, Claude C. "Jimmy" Cline, Upperco, Charles S. Cline, Hagerstown, and William A. "Max" Cline, Smith Island; four sisters, Lena M. Decker, Baltimore, Maryland V. Cross, and June M. Couter and husband Paul, all of Cumberland, and Patricia L. Glover and husband Dale, Evart, Mich.; a daughter-in-law, Ann Reuschel, Rogersville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Brett L. Herring and wife Janet, Whitney L. Herring, Keith A. McCoy and wife Kathy, Jeffrey A. McCoy, John A. Reuschel and Beth Ann Reuschel; and three great-grandchildren, Brittney Herring, Kyle Herring and Evan W. McCoy; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James McMahan officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Brett Herring, Keith McCoy, Jeff McCoy, Robert Moss, Matt Cline and John A. Reuschel.
JAMES W. REXROAD
LAVALE - James William "Rex" Rexroad, 85, of LaVale, died Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at his residence.
Born Sept. 7, 1912, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Albert S. and Katherine Rexroad. He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Elizabeth "Bizz" (Reid) Rexroad; and a sister, Alberta Wilson.
Mr. Rexroad had been self-employed for more than 50 years. He started with the Rex News Agency. He and partner J.J. Riley operated R&R; Trucking, maintaining the Cumberland garbage contract, as well as providing over-the-road trucking service.
He was a 50-year member of Ohr Lodge 131 AF & AM; member 32nd Degree, Cumberland Scottish Rite Bodies; member Ali Ghan Shrine, where he belonged to the Director's Staff; actively involved in Cumberland Court 117, Royal Order of Jesters; honorary member of Boumi Shrine Temple; life member of BPOE, Lodge 63; Golden Age of Eagle of FOE, Aerie 245; and AARP.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth (Slaven) Rexroad; a niece, Linda O. Fleming, Jacksonville, Fla.; two stepnephews, Michael E. Everhart and wife Peggy, and James D. Myers, all of Cumberland; and three stepnieces, Sue Willison and husband Randy, Buffalo Mills, Pa., Amy Riggleman, Cumberland, and Carol Rice and husband Gene, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., corner of Greene and Smallwood streets, Cumberland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A memorial service will be conducted by Ohr Lodge 131 AF & AM at the funeral home on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Gary W. Trail officiating.
Entombment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Mower, Joseph Bruner, William Brotemarkle, Gary Thompson, Julian Wheeler and Charles Dicks.

THURLA M. REYNOLDS
CUMBERLAND - Thurla Melrose Reynolds, 91, formerly of 506 Victoria Street, Cumberland, died Thursday, July 30, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born May 22, 1907, in Bedford Valley, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Irvin Zembower and the late Elizabeth (Hite) Zembower. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Stewart "Scotty" Reynolds, on April 6, 1968; two sisters, Ruth Elliott and Dorotha Wertz; and two brothers, Clark Zembower and Kenneth Zembower.
Mrs. Reynolds was a retired employee of the Celanese Corporation with 46 years of service. She was a member of Centerville United Methodist Church, Senior Citizens of Centerville, and a life member of Local #1874 Textile Workers Union of America AFL-CIO.
Surviving are four brothers, Willard Zembower, R.F.D. #3, Bedford, Pa., Phillip Zembower, R.F.D. #3, Bedford, Pa., Elwood Zembower, New Springfield, Ohio, and Mearle Zembower, Canfield, Ohio; a special niece, Melrose Welch, and husband, Harold, Centerville, Pa.; and a special great-niece, Pam Grabenstein, and husband, Steve, R.F.D. #3, Bedford, Pa.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., with the Rev. Barbara Ammann officiating.
Interment will be in Union cemetery, Centerville.

HARRY T. RICE
MOUNT SAVAGE - Harry T. Rice, age 63, of 12805 Cobble Street Road, Mount Savage, died Sunday, April 19, 1998, at his residence.
Born Jan. 16, 1935, in Mount Savage, he was the son of the late Bradley and Emily (Lotz) Thomas. He also was preceded in death by one son, Arthur Rice.
Mr. Rice was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church, Mount Savage, where he was currently employed as the church Sexton.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Virginia "Lee" (Winebrenner) Rice; three sons, James P. Rice and wife, Hye Y., Mount Savage, David M. Rice and wife, Margaret C., Sicily, Italy, and Donald C. Rice and wife, Tracey D., San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Brenda L. Engle and husband, Scott E., Mount Savage; one sister, Cora Carter and husband, Ronald E. "Newt," Mount Savage; one daughter-in-law, Jean M. Rice, Mount Savage; seven grandchildren, Eugene, Brianne, Mingi, Daniel, Dave Rice, and Rachel and Brittny Engle; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral sevices will be conducted at St. George's Episcopal Church, Mount Savage, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Alice Babbin and the Rev. George Harpold officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Randy Carter, Richard Winebrenner, Mark Dom, Don Rice, Eugene Rice, Lloyd Wade and Richard Beal.
