LARRY E. WIGFIELD
CUMBERLAND - Larry Ernest Wigfield, 51, of Cumberland, died Friday, March 6, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Dec. 11, 1946, in Cumberland, he was the son of Ernest Wigfield, Cumberland, and the late Geraldine (Shoemaker) Wigfield. He also was preceded in death by one son in 1977.

Larry was an employee of the Schwab Company of Cumberland. He was a former member of the Allegany County Shuffleboard League, and he was a model train collector.

Surviving, in addition to his father, are his wife and best friend, Gail Christine (Long) Wigfield; two sons, Jeffery Wigfield and wife, Dai, and Larry Michael Wigfield, all of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Diane Wigfield and Pam Wigfield, both of Cumberland; four grandchildren, Nikole Wigfield, Brittney Wigfield, Krystal Wigfield, B.J. Plessala, all of Texas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Clara Mynhier, Cumberland; many friends and co-workers at Schwab's; and his two favorite dogs, Cagney and Lacey.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Pastor Mickey Stephens officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be, lifetime best friend, Blaine Tallman, Jeffery Norris "The Doctor," Sam Blume, Steven D'Atri "Corn Dog," Darren Williams and Victor Chaney.

INEZ A. WIGGER
LAVALE - Inez Abigal Wigger, 90, of 915 Atlantic Ave., LaVale, died Sunday, April 12, 1998, at her home.
Born Aug. 31, 1907, as Inez Abigal Ours, in Petersburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Marcellus C. and Virginia E. (Mongold) Ours. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent DePaul Wigger; and one brother, James Seymour Ours; and several other brothers and sisters.

She is survived by one sister, Jean Williams, Oregon.

Among those dearest to her are, Joyce L. Ours, LaVale, Sheri J. Neff, Mary Koelker, Linda J. Nazelrod, all of Cumberland, Belinda K. Davis, Florida; Jack T. Ours, John D. Ours, both of Corriganville; William L. Ours, Keith S. Ours and Michael T. Ours, all of Cumberland; John Bramble, Seattle, Wash.; and other family.

She was a homemaker and had been employed by the Celanese Corporation in Cumberland. She was an avid bowler, and she enjoyed gardening and treasured all aspects of nature

Although Inez had no children of her own, she was a loving and devoted Mother to all that knew her. In thinking of others as she always did, she chose to dedicate her body to the Anatomy Board of Maryland.

Memorial services are planned but are incomplete at this time.

DAVID C. WILBURN
GRANTSVILLE - David Charles Wilburn, 42, of 3673 Bear Hill Road, Grantsville, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Jan. 11, 1956, in Oakland, he was a son of Claude and Goldie (Wilt) Wilburn, of Grantsville.

Mr. Wilburn had been employed as a meat cutter at Yoder Locker Plant.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Carolyn E. (Bittinger) Wilburn; a daughter, Valerie Wilburn, Grantsville; a brother, Michael Wilburn, Grantsville; four sisters, Mary Beckman, Swanton, Connie Wilt, Karen Beitzel and Brenda Wilt, all of Grantsville; his maternal grandmother, Amanda Wilburn, and paternal grandmother, Sarah Wilt, both of Grantsville.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor Brenda Shreve officiating.

Interment will be in the Bittinger cemetery.

FRANCES "PATSY" WILHELM
MOUNT SAVAGE - Frances "Patsy" Wilhelm, 88, of Mount Savage, died Tuesday, April 21, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital. She had been a resident of the Frostburg Village Nursing Home.
Born Jan. 31, 1910, in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Isabelle (Lynch) Lashley. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Wilhelm, in 1974.

Mrs. Wilhelm was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Surviving are three sons, Wayne Wilhelm, Mount Savage, James Wilhelm and wife Ann, Boothwyn, Pa., and Charles Wilhelm and wife Ruth, Fredericksburg, Va.; one daughter, Patricia Ann Metheny, Newport News, Va.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Coeline Montana, Frostburg, Sister Mary Ita Lashley, Baltimore, Eileen Herboldsheimer, Mount Savage, and Delores Martin, Cumberland.

Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with Sister Joan Minella, SSND, officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

HILDA E. WILHELM
AVILTON - Hilda Elizabeth Wilhelm, 74, of 988 Lancaster Hill Road, Lonaconing (Avilton), died Sunday, Dec. 20, 1998, at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C.
Born Oct. 30, 1924, in Garrett County, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Martha (Caton) Minnick. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Wilhelm, on Jan. 16, 1992; and a son, John.

She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg, and was a homemaker.

Survivors include three sons, Blaine Wilhelm and Sharon Thomas, Barton, Dale Wilhelm and wife, Sandy, Lothian, Freeman Wilhelm and wife, Carole, Hancock; three daughters, Thelma Weir, Ada Layton and husband, John, and Darleen Rounds, all of Frostburg; two sisters, Helen Louck, Michigan, Betty Fadley, Finzel; 31 grandchildren; and 58 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A Catholic Prayer Service will be conducted on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Byrnes officiating.

Interment will be in Blocher cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Willie Thomas, Gary Wilhelm, Harry Michael, Dwayne Wilhelm and Steve Thomas.

Expressions of sympathy may be directed in care of Blaine Wilhelm, 988 Lancaster Hill Road, Lonaconing, MD 21539.

JUANITA P. WILHELM
CUMBERLAND - Juanita P. (Walters) Wilhelm, 57, of 208 W. Oldtown Road, Rear, Cumberland, died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, at her residence.
Born Feb. 12, 1941, in Gaithersburg, she was the daughter of Aubrey and the late Maude Walters.

Ms. Wilhelm is survived by four children, Barbara Curry, Orlando, Fla., Paula Steinmetz, Cumberland, Paul Wilhelm Jr., Owings Mills, and Eugene Wilhelm; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a fiance and friend of 20 years, Robert Wilson Sr. of Cumberland; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Ms. Wilhelm donated her body to science.

There will be a memorial service on Monday, Dec. 28, at 7 p.m. at the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church, 477 Eastern Ave., Cumberland, with the Rev. George Harpold officiating.

All family and friends are invited to attend.

LAURA E. WILHELM
LONACONING - Laura Ellen (Durst) Wilhelm, 84, of Old Beechwood Road, S.W., Lonaconing, died Sept. 26, 1998, at Wilhelm Personal Care Home, Hagerstown where she had been a patient for two years.
Born Oct. 16, 1913, in Garrett County she was a daughter of the late Charles and Dora (McKenzie) Durst.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott O. Wilhelm, on Sept. 5, 1986; and daughter, Beverly L. Wilhelm Moler, on Nov. 9, 1994.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ of New Germany, the Lonaconing Senior Citizens, the Frostburg Moose, Morning Star Temple #1 Pythian Sisters, Lonaconing.

Surviving are six sons, Larry Wilhelm and wife, Gladys, Wendell S. Wilhelm, and Michael D. Wilhelm, all of Lonaconing, Roger F. Wilhelm and wife, Sharon, Moscow, Darrell B. Wilhelm and wife, Carolyn, Hagerstown, Stephen C. Wilhelm and wife, Patty, Fredericksburg, Va.; two daughters, Marilyn L. Muir and husband, Robert, Fresno, Calif., Carol R. Beeman and husband, Bill, Barton; 14 grandchildren, Shirley Timney, Linda Adams, Kenneth Wilhelm, Larry Wilhelm, Lori Muir, Andrew, Muir, Rhonda Lee DeShong, Roger Wilhelm Jr., Mary Ann Smith, Anette Keller, Wendy Wilson, Shane Wilhelm, Tonya Dye, Rhonda Rae Hullier; six step grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Morning Star Temple #1 Pythian Sisters will hold a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be at the United Church of Christ cemetery, New Germany.

Pallbearers will be Larry O. Wilhelm, Kenneth Wilhelm, Shane Wilhelm, Allen Adams, John Timney and Mike Smith.
