JAMES WILKINSON JR.
WESTERNPORT - James P. Wilkinson Jr., 64, of 418 Maryland Ave., Westernport, died Sunday, April 12, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born on Feb. 28, 1934, at Westernport, he was the son of the late James P. and Elizabeth (Ferrens) Wilkinson Sr.

Mr. Wilkinson was retired from the Lubrication Department of Westvaco, with 40 years of service. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of Victory Post American Legion #155, Westernport, and a member of Queens Point VFW Post #6775, McCoole. He was a 1952 graduate of Bruce High School.

He is survived by his wife, Marion "Pie" (Byer) Wilkinson; three daughters, Krista Goff, Westernport, Jemma Dawson and husband, Scott, Keyser, W.Va., Tricia Whetzel and husband, Scott, Westernport; one sister, Lillian Ferrens, Lonaconing; four grandchildren, Andrew Goff, Beth Dawson, James P. Dawson and Tessa Whetzel; three step-grandchildren, Scott Dawson III, Scott Whetzel Jr., and Jeremy Whetzel; one step-great-grandchild, Scott Dawson IV.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Tuesday, April 14, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 15, at 11 a.m. with Fr. James Hannon officiating.

Interment will be in St. Peter's cemetery, Westernport, where full military honors will be accorded at graveside by the combined veterans' organizations.

BETTY JANE WILLIAMS
FROSTBURG - Betty Jane Williams, age 64, of 12 First St., Frostburg, died Thursday, July 30, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Jan. 21, 1934, in Indiana, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Sherbon) Bodnar. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Waldrop.

Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg. Surviving are her husband, John E. Williams Sr.; three sons, John E. Williams Jr., and wife, Charlotte, Gilmore, James C. Williams, and wife, Carolyn, Steven J. Williams, and wife, Mary, all of Frostburg; three sisters, Roseann Miller, Irene Bodnar, Mary Wolfe, all of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two brothers, Joseph Bodnar, Cleveland, Ohio, and Steven Bodnar, Wonokh, N.Y.; six grandchildren; three step grandsons; one step-great-grandson; one step great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation; the body will be cremated.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg, on Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. William Moody as celebrant.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the St. Michael's School.

GEORGE WALTER WILLIAMS
CUMBERLAND - George Walter Williams, 79, of 807 Brookfield Ave., Cumberland, died Sunday, June 14, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Jan. 2, 1919, in Bedford County, Pa., he was the son of the late Elwood Williams and the late Ila Mae (Simmons) Williams.

Mr. Williams was a retired truck driver for Celanese Corporation of America. He was a member of the Friends Cove United Church of Christ, R.F.D. #4, Bedford, Pa. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Martha Jane (Diehl) Williams, Cumberland; two brothers, Howard Williams, Bedford Road, Cumberland, and Thomas Williams, R.F.D. #4, Bedford; and two sisters, Dorothy Flynn, North Carolina, and Mabel DeLeoleos, Chicago, Ill.

Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., with the Rev. David G. Borden officiating.

Interment will be in Friends Cove cemetery.

HILDA MAE WILLIAMS
LAVALE - Hilda Mae Williams, 82, of Moran Manor Nursing Home, formerly of 1251 Braddock Road, LaVale, died Monday, March 16, 1998.
Born June 3, 1915, at Ocean, Md., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie Gordon Williams. She also was preceded in death by a half-brother, Marshall G. Williams; and a half-sister, Josephine Barnard. She was the last surviving member of her family.

Miss Williams retired after 45 years from the Celanese Corporation. She was a member of the Kingsley United Methodist Church, Cumberland, the McKinley Chapter #12 Order of the Eastern Star, and a past member of the Business Professional Women of Cumberland.

Surviving are, a special friend and caretaker, Viola Hilleary, LaVale; and several cousins, including B. Betty Williams, Grahamtown.

Miss Williams resided for many years with the late Gus T. Hilleary and Viola Hilleary. She enjoyed playing the piano, and prior to her illness entertained at the Frostburg Village Nursing Home and the Lions Manor Nursing Home. She also entertained after becoming a patient at the Moran Manor Nursing Home.

Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, LaVale, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Jewell officiating.

Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park, Cumberland. Memorials may be directed to the Kingsley United Methodist Church, 248 Williams St., Cumberland, MD 21502.

RONALD J. WILLIAMS
CUMBERLAND - Ronald James Williams, 52, of Winchester Road, Cumberland, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital. He had been a resident of Lions Manor Nursing Home for several years.
Born in Chestertown on Nov. 25, 1945, he was the son of the late George Thomas Williams and Evelyn (Cosner) Williams.

Surviving are a brother, Richard Thomas Williams Sr., Pasadena, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, on Friday from 10:30 to 11 a.m.

Services will be conducted on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., with the Rev. Wayne R. Turner officiating.

Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.

WILLIE M. WILLIAMS
CUMBERLAND - Willie Mae Williams, 71, of 19 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998, at the Allegany County Nursing Home.
She was born Jan. 1, 1927, in Tunika, Miss.

Mrs. Williams was a retired housekeeper who serviced many families in the area. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she was a missionary for more than 20 years, and a member of the Trustee Board.

Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Brooks, Cumberland; two stepdaughters, Cynthia Pratt, and her three daughters, Cumberland, and Dana Turner, Cumberland; a step-grandchild, Killana Turner, Cumberland; a brother, Jessie Cooley and wife Agnes, Leland, Miss.; a niece, Tracy Cooley, Leland, Miss.; and a son-in-law, Marvin Johnson, Cumberland.

Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Memorial services will be conducted at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, 211 Cumberland St., Cumberland, on Thursday at noon with the Rev. John B. McIntyre officiating.

EARL W. WILLISON JR.
CUMBERLAND - Earl W. Willison Jr., 47, of Cumberland, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born in Cumberland on July 11, 1951, he was the son of the late Earl W. and Hilda (Alkire) Willison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Neal.

Mr. Willison was a 25-year employee of the ABEX Corporation in Winchester, Va. He attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Marie Willison; four daughters, Julie Ann Willison, at home, Deanne Faye Shadwell and husband, Greg, Cumberland, Rosemarie Butler and husband, Michael, Charlestown, W.Va., and Rhonda Mae Wolff and husband, Ron, Morgantown, W.Va.; a brother, Tom Neal and wife, Barbara, Converse, Texas; two sisters, Janice Robertson and husband, Leroy, Oldtown, and Susan Roach, Stephenson, Va.; seven grandchildren, Derrick, Dustin, Sarah, Ryan, Justin, Tyler and Sierra; a mother-in-law, Rosemary "Granny" Spaulding, Cumberland; a sister-in-law, Louise Neal, East Ridge, Tenn.; a nephew, Chris Willison; and a number of other nieces and nephews.

Funeral service and interment will be private.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

RHEA M. WILLISON
CUMBERLAND - Miss Rhea Marjorie Willison, 81, of 229 Baltimore Ave., Cumberland, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born in Cumberland on Jan. 3, 1917, she was the daughter of the late John R. Willison and the late Isora L. (Drenning) Willison. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Hanson Clyde Willison; and a sister, Alma S. Willison.

She was a retired bookkeeper.

She is survived by nieces Rhea Jordan and husband, David, Roanoke, Va., Lois Ashby, Roanoke, Carolyn Noack, Bowie, Ann Michael Shibley and husband, Bob, Lanham; and nephew John Findlay and wife, Betty, LaVale.

Miss Willison's body was donated to the Anatomy Board of Maryland, and no services are scheduled.

Arrangements were made by the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland.
