GLADYS MAE WEIMER
CUMBERLAND - Gladys Mae Weimer, 71, of Cumberland, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 14, 1926, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Merle Issac Dicken and Lavina Catherine (Winters) Dicken. She also was preceded in death by two brothers; and four sisters.
Mrs. Weimer was a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Wilbur H. Weimer, Cumberland; two sons, Dale H. Weimer and friend, Michele, Cresaptown, and Bobby A. Weimer and friend, Sh erry, Cumberland; six daughters, Patsy Bible, Cresaptown, Judy Morral, Sandra Pierce and husband, Eddie, Sharon Long and friend, Gary, Sara Long and husband, Roger, Cumberland, and Barbara Fletcher, Boynton Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Richard Dicken and Garland Dicken, Cumberland; two sisters, Audrey Morris and Marlene Morris, Cumberland; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Friday at 3 p.m. at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., with the Rev. David Stottlemyer officiating.
Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans cemetery at Rocky Gap.
Pallbearers will be Gary Nesselrodt, Eddie Pierce, Roger Long, Cain Morral, Ronald Glenn Jr., and Mike Dicken.
MARY E. WEIMER
CUMBERLAND - Mary Elizabeth (Knieriem) Weimer, 82, of Cumberland, died Wednesday, March 25, 1998, at the Cumberland Nursing Home.
Born July 25, 1915, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late John P. and Lyda (Arnold) Knieriem. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Calvin Weimer Sr., in 1986.
Mrs. Weimer was retired from the First National Bank of Maryland, where she had been a bookkeeper. She was a member of Central Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Martha McNeil and Kathryn Hixson, both of Cumberland; three children, Ray C. Weimer Jr. and his wife Darlene, Centerville, Va., Barbara Luck and her husband Chuck, Portsmouth, Va., and John Weimer and his wife Tina, Greensburg, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Mary Beth, Jennifer and Kathryn Ann Weimer, Russell, Tony and Keith Luck, and Thomas and Kris Weimer; two great-grandchildren, Chase and Stevie Luck; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., corner of Greene and Smallwood streets, Cumberland, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Linn Opderbecke officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park.
Pallbearers will be Russell Luck, Keith Luck, Tony Luck, Thomas Weimer, Kris Weimer and Mike Chase.

DAVID E. WELCH
LAVALE - David Edward Welch, 48, of National Highway, LaVale, died Monday, July 13, 1998, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Nov. 11, 1949, in Cumberland, he was the son of Kathleen M. (Copp) Ackerson, Bel Air, Cumberland, and the late John Edward Welch. He also was preceded in death by his stepfather, Raymond L. Ackerson, on Aug. 7, 1992.
Mr. Welch formerly worked as a bail bondsman for A-1 Bail Bonding in Cumberland.
Surviving in addition to his mother are one sister, Karen Lee Keller and husband Richard, Athens, Ga.
There will be no viewing.
Funeral services and interment will be private.
The Kight Funeral Home, 309-311 Decatur St., Cumberland, is in charge of the arrangements.
MARY L. "MIDGE" WENRICH
CUMBERLAND - Mary L. "Midge" Wenrich, 75, of Cresap Knoll Apartments, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 1998, in her residence.
She was born March 16, 1923, in Ridgeley, W.Va., the daughter of the late Arthur and Sarah (Cassell) Galford. She was preceded in death by two husbands, George Bittner and Willard "Barney" Wenrich; and a stepson, Richard Bittner.
Mrs. Wenrich was a member of First Wesleyan Church, Cresaptown, and was an employee of the Western Sizzlin Steak House.
Surviving are one son, William VanNatta, Cumberland; a daughter, Audrey Snyder, and husband, Bruce, LaVale; two sisters, Aretta Phillips, Cumberland, and Margaret Helmick, Thomas, W.Va.; a sister-in-law, Thelma Galford, Cumberland; a daughter-in-law, Carol (Bittner) Karpiak, Laplata; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three step children, Eleanor, William and Barbara.
Friends will be received in the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Highway, LaVale, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Kevin T. Lowery officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Snyder, Rodney Snyder, Brian Snyder, Wayne Snyder, Richard Bittner and Jeff Bittner.
RUTH H. WENSCHHOF
WILLOUGHBY, Ohio - Graveside services for Ruth H. (Boyer) Wenschhof, 91, of Cumberland, Md., a homemaker, will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Evergreen cemetery, Gettysburg, Pa.
Mrs. Wenschhof died Nov. 18, 1998, at Western Reserve Health Care in Kirtland, Ohio. Born Nov. 9, 1907, in Harrisburg, Pa., she lived in Cumberland before moving to Willoughby. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and McKinley Chapter Order of the Eastern Star No. 12, both in Cumberland.
Survivors are her daughter, Betty Jane VanTilburg, Willoughby; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Margaret Walker, Cumberland. Her husband, Delbert L. Wenschhof, died in 1993. Parents, John M. and Alzina Boyer; daughter, Lois L. Weaver; four brothers; and two sisters, are also deceased.
There will be no calling hours. The Rev. Stephen S. Yelovich of St. Luke's Church will officiate at services. Arrangements are being handled by Davis Trust 100 Funeral Home in Willoughby.
ELOISE R. WENSEL
WESTMINSTER - Eloise Wensel, 72, of 602 Geneva Drive, Westminster, MD 21157, died Nov. 20, 1998, in an automobile accident.
Born in Swanton, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Louise (Beckman) Reckner.
Surviving are her husband, Walter Howard Wensel; a son, Walter Wensel, Antioch, Ill.; a daughter, Sharon Bowers, Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Olive Grove, Swanton; three brothers, Robert Reckner and Harold Reckner, both of Alliance, Ohio, and Richard Reckner, Swanton; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Westminster. Interment was in the Oakland (Md.) cemetery.
BARBARA WESSON
ROMNEY - Barbara Wesson, age 72, of Romney, died Thursday, June 25, 1998, at Winchester Rehabilitation Center, Winchester, Va.
Born Feb. 9, 1926, in Birmingham, Ala., she was the daughter of the late J.B. Edwards and Mary (Kennamer) Edwards.
After graduating from Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, she attended and graduated from the New York School of Art receiving a bachelor of arts degree.
Barbara married
Guy Clarence Wesson and entered the restaurant business, which they shared until his death in 1973. She continued that business with her son until 1986.
Barbara returned to Birmingham to care for her mother and aunt until their deaths. She moved back to Romney to continue caring for her family until her own death.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and by one brother, Julian Edwards.
Surviving are one son, Lee Wesson, and wife, Debbie, Springfield; six grandchildren, J. Beau Dickenson, Broadway, Va., Natalie Wesson, Augusta, Sarah Wesson, Augusta, Laura Summers, Bryan Wesson and Kate Wesson, all of Springfield.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Shaffer Funeral Home, 230 East Main St., Romney.
Graveside services will be held at Mount Hebron cemetery, Winchester, Va., on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Calvin McCutcheon officiating.
