HAROLD L. DREES
FROSTBURG - Harold L. Drees, 68, of W. National Highway, Frostburg, died Wednesday, June 4, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Oct. 13, 1928, in Finzel, he was the son of the late Albert C. and M. Pearl (Minick) Drees. He also was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Drees.

Mr. Drees was employed by Kaiser Refractories for 25 years and also was self employed, Harold Drees Excavating. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Big Savage Sportsmen's Club, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 1273.

Surviving are his wife, Marian (Klosterman) Drees; two sons, Robert Drees and wife Shelley, Frostburg, and David Drees and wife Tambi, Frederick; three daughters, Sharon Ritchie and husband Rodger, Janet Walbert and husband Jay, and Lisa Crawford and husband Rich, all of Frostburg; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Drees, Jeff, Sabrina and Brandy Ritchie, Jessica, Joshua, and Janelle Walbert, and Erica Crawford; two brothers, Raymond Drees and wife Helen, and Bernard Drees and wife Doris, all of Finzel; four sisters, Mabel Miller and husband Harvey, Schellsburg, Pa., Genevieve Wilhelm and husband Carl, and Hilda Miller, all of Pocahontas, Pa., and Margaretta Festerman and husband Gene, Gap, Pa.; and three sisters-in-law, Cindy Drees, Finzel, Catherine Klosterman, Frostburg, and Frances Steele, Carolina Beach, N.C.

Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

FOE 1273 will hold a memorial service at the funeral home Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Wake service will be held at the funeral home Friday at 8 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Father Paul A. Byrnes as celebrant.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Harold Miller, Steve Festerman, Ray Smith, Rick Burkey, Glenn Miller, and Brian Miller.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Michael's Church, or the American Lung Association.

EDGAR S. ANDREWS SR.
LONACONING - Edgar Shaw Andrews Sr., 91, of 4 Watercliffe St., Lonaconing, died Friday, April 11, 1997, at the home of his son, Edgar Shaw Andrews Jr., Lonaconing.
Born Oct. 10, 1905, at Moscow, he was a son of the late William Osborne Andrews and Katherine (Shaw) Andrews. His wife, Ruth Rennie Andrews, died Oct. 20, 1972.

Mr. Andrews was retired from the B&O; Railroad. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Lonaconing, and a member of the Senior Citizens of Georges Creek.

Surviving are two daughters, Eleanor L. Torpy, Triangle, Va., and Frances Beeman, Lonaconing; two sons, William O. Andrews, Chino Hills, Calif., and Edgar Shaw Andrews Jr., Lonaconing; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Lester "Doc" Andrews, Moscow; one half sister, Ruth Keller, Westernport; one half brother, William Myers, Washington, D.C.; and special friend Evelyn Llewellyn.

Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, Lonaconing, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Webb officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

EUGENE T. FLEISCHHAUER
MIDLOTHIAN, Va. - Eugene Thomas Fleischhauer, 77, of Midlothian, died Feb. 12, 1997, in Chesterfield.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia F. Fleischhauer; three sons and their families, Dr. Thomas F. and Karen S. Fleischhauer and children of Apex, N.C., Jeffrey A. and Lisa C. Fleischhauer and children of Roanoke, and Grier S. and Kristin S. Fleischhauer and children of Midlothian; a brother, John G. and Mildred Fleischhauer of Cumberland, Md.; nieces, Judith Buckbee and Jean Schramm and families; sister-in-law, Mrs. William (Verna) Fleischhauer; and nephew, Harry Eugene Fleischhauer.

Mr. Fleischhauer was the son of the late William Henry and Martha Jane (Jenny) Starke Fleischhauer of Richmond.

He graduated from Fort Hill High School in Cumberland. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Marine Corps in the 12th Air Force in North Africa as a navigator on a B-17. He plane was shot down over Italy and he became a prisoner of war from Sept. 4, 1943, to May 1, 1945, in Stalag Luft I, Barth, Germany.

He graduated from M.I.T. in 1950 and was a research and development engineer as an inventor of new products, and was awarded many patents during his professional life. He was a member of the Denny Landrum Chapter of the Am. Ex-POW.

Memorial services were held at Forest Hill Presbyterian Church, Richmond, on Feb. 16, 1997.

Private interment ceremonies at Arlington National cemetery will be attended by family members only.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Richmond Chapter, 7124 Forest Hill Ave., Richmond, VA 23225.

RAY B. DOMAN
FLAT ROCK, N.C. - Ray B. Doman, 74, of Flat Rock, formerly of Jacksonville, Fla., died Saturday, Oct. 25, 1997, at the Victoria Park Nursing Home in Ashville, N.C.
Born Oct. 4, 1923, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Ernest C. and Edna B. (Brock) Doman. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rachel Doman, and a sister, Inez Eirich.

Mr. Doman was a veteran of the Navy, serving aboard the U.S.S. Astoria during World War II. He was a former employee of the Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company in Cumberland and the Gulf Life Insurance Company in Jacksonville. Mr. Doman was a member of the Lakeshore United Methodist Church, the Masons and the Loyal Order of Moose in Jacksonville.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret (Simmons) Doman, Flat Rock; two children, Ray B. Doman Jr., Jacksonville; Karen Benton, Flat Rock; three stepchildren, Virginia West, Jacksonville; the Rev. Richard Horne, Los Angeles, Calif.; Joyce Bolling, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, three sisters, Lee O. Callahan, Jacksonville; Shirley Lemmert, Frostburg and Jean E. Anderson, Morganton, N.C.

According to his wishes, his body was cremated.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Jackson Funeral Home, Hendersonville, N.C., was in charge of arrangements.

VERNA ANGELLATTA
PASADENA - Verna Angellatta, 73, of Pasadena, formerly of Cumberland, died Monday, June 30, 1997, at her residence.
Born Nov. 6, 1923, in Elkins, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Leslie Carver and Pearl (Clayton) Carver Myers. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. "Tiger" Angellatta; six brothers; and four sisters.

Mrs. Angellatta was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, former member of the Ladies Auxiliary No. 245 Fraternal Order of Eagles, and a Red Cross volunteer.

Surviving are two sons, Frank A. Angellatta and wife Patricia, Pasadena, and James C. Angellatta, Reston, Va.; four sisters, Gladys Runion, Manassas, Va., Dolly Bomer, Ohio, Louella Danis, Calif., and Jean Kessler, Columbia, S.C.; one brother, George Carver, Piqua, Ohio; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

The rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Friday at 8 p.m., led by Mary Eckard, Rosarian of Cumberland Historical cemetery Organization.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Cumberland, on Saturday at 9 a.m. with Father Milton A. Hipsley as celebrant.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

EARL E. DRENNING
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Earl Eugene Drenning, 71, of St. Augustine, died April 30, 1997, at Flagler Hospital East.
Born in Cumberland, he had resided in St. Augustine since 1970.

Mr. Drenning was a retired insurance agent. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was Baptist by faith.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Drenning; two daughters, Susan Cook, Columbia, Md., and Sheryl Blalock, Fruit Cove; one son, Steven Drenning, Palm Coast; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Art Tober from Rolling Hills Baptist Church, Columbia, officiating.

EILEEN M. FARRELL
WINCHESTER, Va. - Eileen Mullen Farrell, 81, of 300 Westminster-Canterbury Drive., Winchester, died Friday, Sept. 12, 1997, at the Winchester Medical Center.
Born Dec. 4, 1915, in Boston, Mass., she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Katherin (Moran) Mullen. Her husband, Kenton B. Farrell, whom she married on July 1, 1939, in Boston, preceded her in death on July 18, 1980. She also was preceded in death by two brothers.

Mrs. Farrell was a medical secretary for Donald Grove, M.D., Cumberland, Md., retiring after 25 years. She was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and was a lifetime member of the Deep Creek Yacht Club Inc. of Deep Creek, Md. She was a graduate of the Kathryn Gibbs School of Business, New York, New York.

Surviving are three daughters, Geri F. Meehan, Manassas Park, Jane Mahan, Stephens City, and Pat Farrell, Baltimore, Md.; one sister, Midge Dodt, Clayton, Ohio; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 202 North Washington St., Winchester, VA 22601.

Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Winchester.
