ROBERT H. EISEL
FINDLAY, Ohio - Robert H. Eisel, 87, of 131 McKinley Street, Findlay, formerly of Frostburg, Md., died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1997, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay.
He was born Jan. 4, 1910, in Frostburg, the son of the late Henry and Mary Ellen (Casserly) Eisel. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Lindley Eisel and Henry Franklin Eisel; and three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Eisel, Anna Margaret Eisel, and Bertha Ellen Eisel.

Mr. Eisel was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Findlay, and Findlay Lodge No. 227 Free & Accepted Masons. He attended public schools in Akron, Ohio, and was a 1934 graduate of Kent State University. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and Campaigns of Northern France, Rhineland, Ardenness, and Central Europe, where he earned the Bronze Star.

He was a Time Study Industrial Engineer for Cooper Tire & Rubber Company for 26 years and had been a General Manager at General Tire, Akron.

On May 16, 1937, he married Laura Estelle Kelley, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Robert L. Eisel, Findlay, John Harold Eisel, Palmdale, Calif., James David Eisel, Livonia, Mich., and Charles Peter Benton, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Norman Eisel, Ashland, Ohio.

Family will receive friends at the Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, 205 West Sandusky Street, Findlay, Ohio, on Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Elden Smith officiating.

Interment will be in Bechtel cemetery, Van Buren, Ohio.

Memorial Tributes may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church.

OLEDA V. KETTERMAN
CUMBERLAND - Oleda Virginia (Fluzz) Ketterman, 54, of Cumberland, died Friday, Dec. 26, 1997, at her home.
Born Oct. 26, 1943, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Elva (Ketterman) Ketterman, of Cumberland, with whom she resided, and the late Alvin Ketterman.

Ms. Ketterman was a delivery driver for Brunner's Restaurant which later became D'Atri's Bakery in LaVale. She was a member of the Glendale Church of the Brethren, Flintstone.

Surviving in addition to her mother are a sister, Evelyn Weimer and husband Franklin, Shelby, Ohio; two brothers, Kenneth A. Ketterman and wife Mary, Erie, Mich., and the Rev. Richard Ketterman and wife Mary, Flintstone; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Frank Teter officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Mark Ketterman, Michael Ketterman, Robert Ketterman, Christopher Ketterman, Larry Weimer and Robert Johnson.

PAULINE M. BERG
NARROWS, Va. - Pauline Matthews Berg, 91, of 213 W. Westview St., Narrows, formerly of Corriganville, Md., died on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997.
Born March 29, 1906, in Corriganville, she was the daughter of the late James and Rebecca (Fleegle) Matthews.

Mrs. Berg was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Pearisburg.

Surviving are her husband, C. Rockford Berg, Narrows; a son, Carlton L. Berg, Roanoke; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends were received at Riffe's Funeral Home, 600 East Main St., Narrows, Va., on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Walter Verling officiating.

Interment will be in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg.

ELMER E. BERGDOLL
CUMBERLAND - Elmer E. Bergdoll, 61, of Valley Road, Cumberland, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Mar. 29, 1936, in Purgitsville, W.Va., he was the son of the late Freeman A. and Nellie P. (Conrad) Bergdoll. He was preceded in death by one infant brother.

Mr. Bergdoll was a retired construction worker. He was a member of the Army Reserves and a member of the Cumberland Eagles.

Surviving are his companion, Mary A. Twigg; one daughter, Karen Sue Bergdoll Blahut and husband David, Oldtown; one son, Richard Lee Bergdoll, Cumberland; one step-son, John Patrick Moore, Florida; two sisters, Thelma V. Ghahhari, Silver Spring; Wanda D. Bergdoll, Cumberland; three grandchildren, Maranda Lynn Bergdoll, Matthew John Davis, and Tessa Marie Davis; special friends, Donald Twigg and wife Gail, Debra Twigg, Pamela Cole and husband Willie, Russell Twigg and wife Sheila, and their children, Sondra and Donna Jean Fraze, Christy Phillips, Lester and Bill Cole, Crystal, Byran and Richard Twigg, all of Indiana.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David F. Dayhoff officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

BEULAH HERMAN
WESTLAKE, Ohio - Beulah Herman, 91, of Westlake, formerly of Walnut Bottom, Swanton, Md., died Monday, Dec. 29, 1997, in Westlake.
She was the beloved wife of the late John E. "Nick" Herman; dear mother of the late Genevieve Y. "Bonnie" Pachinger; grandmother of Charles E., William J., and Thomas P. Pachinger; and great-grandmother of four.

Services will be held at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel, 2914 Dover Center Road, Westlake, on Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 1 p.m.

INA M. BEST
BOISE, Idaho - Ina M. Best, 91, of Boise, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997, at a Boise care center.
Ina was born on Feb. 26, 1906, at Bayard, W.Va., the daughter of William E. and Edith M. Purgitt Junkins. She attended Potomac State College, Keyser, W.Va., and later taught school in Grant County, W.Va. She married Richard S. Best on July 12, 1926, in Keyser. Ina and Dick moved to Washington, D.C., in 1930, where Dick was a police officer until his retirement in 1960. Ina moved to Romney, W.Va., in 1982 and lived there before moving to Boise in 1985 to be near her son, Mike, and his family.

Ina is survived by her son, Michael R. Best and wife, Anne L., Eagle, Idaho; three grandchildren, Laurie S., Katie C., and Erin M., all of Eagle; a sister, Rachael and husband, Rudy Long, Bethlehem, Pa.; sisters-in-law, Carmenita Cullers, and Eloise and husband, Paul Adams, Germantown; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard S. Best, in 1977; her brother, Ralph C. Junkins; and a sister, Vivian Parker.

The Summers Funeral Homes, Boise Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

No local services will be held. Her cremated remains will be buried at Fort Lincoln cemetery in Brentwood at a later date.

ROXANNE BEVANS
FROSTBURG - Roxanne "Roxce" Elliott Bevans, 34, of 118 W. Mechanic St., Frostburg, died Friday, March 28, 1997, at her home.
Born July 10, 1962, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Francis W. and Carolee (Mackay) Elliott, of Frostburg.

Mrs. Bevans was a 1980 graduate of Beall High School and a graduate of Allegany Community College. She received her Bachelor of Nursing and Master of Nursing degrees from the University of Maryland.

She was teaching nursing at Allegany College of Maryland, and coordinating private duty nurses for Allegany and Garrett counties for Tri-State Nurses, Frederick. She also was in charge of Utilization Review for Medicaid for the University of Maryland and Sacred Heart Hospital. She was a member of Frostburg United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, George G. Bevans; two sons, James Lee Bevans and Jordan Geary Bevans, and daughter, Autumn Nicole Bevans, at home; and a brother, W. Kenny Elliott, Frostburg.

Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the Frostburg United Methodist Church on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George A. Aist officiating. The body will be taken to the church at noon.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Rick Weimer, Bernie Garlitz, Jack Elliott, Joe Conway, Louis Concordia and Rick Cooper.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trust Fund for the Children of Roxanne Elliott Bevans, c/o First United National Bank and Trust, Route 36, Frostburg, MD 21532.
