DENNIS A. BLANK JR.
CORRIGANVILLE - Dennis A. "Andy" Blank Jr., 26, of Corriganville, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 1997, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland.
Born July 30, 1971, in Cumberland, he was a son of Dennis A. and Donna F. (Hite) Blank with whom he resided.

In addition to his parents, also surviving are a sister, Lorrie A. Blank, Cumberland; a brother, Jason M. Blank, at home; paternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Edgar "Andy" and Dorothy P. Blank, Mount Savage; and maternal grandmother, Frances C. Hite, Corriganville.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Helen Blank; and his maternal grandfather, Donald Hite.

Andy was employed as an assistant manager at Naylor's True Value Hardware on Industrial Boulevard, Cumberland. He was a 1989 graduate of Mount Savage High School and had earned an AA degree from Allegany College.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Central Assembly of God, Bedford Road, Cumberland, on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. J. Gary Butler officiating.

The cremains will be entombed at a later date in Restlawn Memorial Park.

His friends, John Mantheiy, Keith Mantheiy, Brian Hirsch, Brian Bolt, and Jason Thompson, will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the charity of choice in memory of Andy Blank.

WILLIAM D. BLAUL SR.
CUMBERLAND - William Donald Blaul Sr., 69, who founded, owned and operated Midwest Graphic Inc., a Detroit printing company, died Thursday, July 3, 1997, of cancer at Angela Hospice, Livonia, Mich. Mr. Blaul was born in Cumberland, in 1927. He attended Catholic primary and secondary schools in Cumberland, graduating with a business degree from St. Francis College, Loretto, Pa., in 1950. That year, Mr. Blaul married the late Helen Patricia Phillips, also of Cumberland, who in 1988 preceded him in death.
Mr. Blaul served briefly in the U.S. Air Force before moving with his wife to Detroit in 1950. The Blaul family eventually settled in Farmington Hills, remaining there until 1994, when Mr. Blaul moved to Algonac, Mich.

Mr. Blaul worked for National Outdoor Advertising, Moore Business Forms, and Uforma, Inc. before founding Midwest Graphic, Inc., a small Detroit-based printing firm, which served industrial and commercial clients in southeastern lower Mich. for nearly 30 years.

Mr. Blaul will be fondly remembered for his love of worldwide travel with the Nomads, Great Lakes boating, and his passion for University of Michigan football. He was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Marine City, Mich.

Mr. Blaul is survived by his three children, Debra Nickoloff (Brian), Burr Ridge, Ill., Mary Wolyniak (Joseph), Denver, N.C., and William Blaul Jr. (Connie), Beltsville, Md. He is also beloved by ten grandchildren, Megan, Kelly, Joseph, Kathryn, Elizabeth, Jacob, William, Heather, Matthew and Phillip. He is also survived by one sister-in-law, Doris Hartung (Charles), Cumberland and treasured friends, Chuck and Mary Brincat, White Lake, Mich., and Ms. Joann Small, Livonia, Mich.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Dexter, Mich., on Saturday, July 12, 1997 at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Angela Hospice Unit, 14100 Newburgh Road, Livonia, MI 48154-5010 or to local chapters of the American Red Cross.

RICHARD L. JACKSON
FROSTBURG - Richard L. Jackson, 70, of Kent Island, died Monday, Oct. 20, 1997, at his daughter's residence in Kent Island, with whom he resided.
Born May 4, 1927, in Cedarhurst, N.Y., he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Anne Marie Jackson. He also was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Jane (McLane) Jackson, formerly of Frostburg.

Surviving are three daughters, Jane Cooney and husband Dennis, Baltimore, Judy Walters and husband Michael, Kent Island, and Joanne Jackson, Baltimore; and six grandchildren.

According to his wishes, his body was cremated.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg, on Friday, Oct. 24, at noon with Father William Moody as celebrant.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

The Sterling Funeral Home, Catonsville, is in charge of the arrangements.

HARRY E. BLIZZARD
WESTERNPORT - Harry E. Blizzard, 89, formerly of Stoney Run, Westernport, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1997, at Moran Manor Nursing Home, Westernport.
He was born Oct. 22, 1908, at Stoney Run, the son of the late Jacob and Anna (Duckworth) Blizzard.

Mr. Blizzard had worked for Westvaco Corporation, and he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by several cousins.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. John Footen officiating.

Interment will be in Duckworth cemetery, Stoney Run.

ELIZABETH MORGAN BLUBAUGH
CUMBERLAND - Elizabeth Morgan Blubaugh, 89, formerly of Cumberland, died Thursday, May 29, 1997, at Carroll County Hospital, Westminster.
Born Sept. 6, 1907, in Carlos, she was the daughter of the late David and Catherine (Koontz) Morgan. She also was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Blubaugh was retired from the Celanese Corporation. She was a member of the First Church of God, Cumberland.

Surviving are one daughter, Phyllis Jean Dawson and husband Austin, Westminster; one son, Charles Blubaugh and wife Joanne, Grant, Fla.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. H. Eddie Schaidt officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

IDA EDNA BLUBAUGH
FROSTBURG - Ida Edna (Durst) Blubaugh, 92, of New Georges Creek Road, SW, Frostburg, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 1997, in her home.
She was born June 29, 1905, at Keysers Ridge, the daughter of the late William Hickman and Rosetta (Duckworth) Durst. She also was predeceased by her husband, John F. Blubaugh; five sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Blubaugh was a member of Liberty Christian Fellowship, Pythian Sisters, Lonaconing Senior Center, and Frostburg Adult Day Care of Midland.

She is survived by a son, the Rev. J. Blaine Blubaugh, and daughter-in-law, Rosie (Thrasher) Blubaugh, Falls Church, Va.; a grandson Jon Marque Blubaugh; granddaughter-in-law, Katrina (Moomaw) Blubaugh, New Market, Va.; and two great-grandchildren, Jon Marque Blubaugh II, and Jessica Elizabeth Blubaugh.

Friends will be received in the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Highway, LaVale, on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gary Gordon officiating.

Interment will follow in Laurel Hill cemetery, Moscow.

Pallbearers will be William Blubaugh, Jack Blubaugh, Raymond Blubaugh, t he Rev. James Blubaugh, Tommy Blubaugh, and Irvin Blubaugh.
