GRACE C. MILLER
CUMBERLAND - Grace Catherine Miller, 92, formerly of The Kensington, Cumberland, died Monday, Oct. 13, 1997, at Allegany County Nursing Home.
Born Nov. 28, 1904, at Meyersdale, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Ada (Kretchman) Hershberger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olen L. Miller, on May 30, 1982.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the Livingstone Church of the Brethren and was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Vernon L. Miller, Winter Haven, Fla., and Ronald C. Miller, Avilton; a daughter, Rosetta E. Baer, Cumberland; a brother, John R. Hershberger, Grantsville; a sister, Pearl Stanton, Somerset, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Wednesday at 2 p.m at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steven Heatwole officiating.
Interment will be in Springs cemetery, Springs, Pa.
SHARON LEE RICHARDS
FROSTBURG - Sharon Lee Richards, 51, of 191 South Water Street, Frostburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 9, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born July 28, 1946, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of William H. and Agnes (Klosterman) Festerman, Frostburg. She was preceded in death by one daughter, April Ann Richards, in 1974; and her father-in-law, Thomas J. Richards, Sr., in 1982.
Mrs. Richards was a homemaker and a member of Welsh Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband of 24 years, Ronald L. Richards, Frostburg; one daughter, Leann M. Richards, Frostburg; one son, Ronald S. Richards, Frostburg; two sisters, Linda S. Craze, Alexandria, Va., and Mary Ann Festerman, Midland; one nephew, James R. Craze and wife, Cherie, Crofton; one niece, Aimee L. Craze, Washington, D.C.; her mother-in-law, Maudella Richards, Frostburg; one brother-in-law, Thomas J. Richards, Jr., Frostburg; several aunts, uncles; and cousins.
Private funeral services will be conducted for the immediate family at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Tuesday with the Rev. William G. Boyer, Jr., officiating.
Interment will be at the Frostburg Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jim Craze, Rick Stevenson, Bobby Stevenson, Jim Llewellyn, Billy Williams, and Harold Baker.
The family requests memorials be sent to Welsh Memorial Baptist Church or to the American Cancer Society.
HAROLD E. MILLER
OAKLAND - Harold Eugene Miller, 82, of Okeechobee, Fla., died Wednesday, March 5, 1997, at the Longwood Medical Center, Fort Pierce, Fla.
Born June 12, 1914, in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Franklin M. Miller and Margaret (Barnes) Miller.
Mr. Miller was employed for 30 years at the Naval Gun Factory, and for 20 years at Catholic University. He also was a Boy Scout leader for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby (Nine) Miller; four sons, Franklin W. Miller, Clarksville, Ronald E. Miller, Shelby, Mont., Harold J. Miller, Edgewater, and Bruce T. Miller, Sterling, Va.; one brother, George P. Miller, Virginia; four sisters, Doris Atwood, Silver Spring, Margaret Thompson, Kensington, Mary Ayres, Silver Spring, and Nellie Myers, Gaithersburg; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Durst Funeral Home, Oakland, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Fairview Church of the Brethren on Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. David Moon officiating.
Interment will be in the Fairview cemetery.
Friends may call at the church one-half hour prior to the services.
IDA V. RAY
CUMBERLAND - Ida Virginia "Ginny" Ray, 66, of Allegany County Nursing Home, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 1997, at the nursing home.
Born Oct. 7, 1930, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Willis H. and Martha E. (McConnell) Blizzard.
Mrs. Ray was a homemaker and a member of the First Brethren Church, Cumberland.
Surviving are one daughter, Linda Sullivan, Ridgeley, W.Va., two sons, Herb Ray and wife Donna, and Gerald Ray and wife Kathy, all of Cumberland; two brothers, William D. Blizzard and wife Monica, Bassett, Va., and John M. Blizzard and wife Betty, Mount Vernon, Va.; one sister, Josephine Mauck, Cumberland; and ten grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Wes Beahm officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
FRANK G. PARKS
KITZMILLER - Frank Guy Parks, 97, of Kitzmiller, died Friday, July 18, 1997, at Lions Manor Nursing Home, Cumberland.
Born June 4, 1900, in Eglon, W.Va., he was the son of the late Wilbur James and Laura (Sweitzer) Parks. He also was preceded in death by his wife Pearl (Wolfe) Parks. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Parks was a retired coal miner and farmer.
Surviving are two sons, Norman Alford Parks, Keyser, W.Va., and Ellwood Lee Parks, Swanton; two daughters, Beatrice Marie Haywood and Naomi Lillian Barr, both of Rawlings; a very special family member, James Evans, Oakland; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and 21 foster children.
Friends will be received at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, Kitzmiller, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at the Mount Bethel United Methodist Church, Kitzmiller, on Sunday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Lowell Garland officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in Eglon cemetery, Eglon, W.Va.

LUANNE M. MILLER
LONACONING - Luanne Marie (Smith) Miller, 44, of Lonaconing, formerly of Ashland, Mass., died in Lonaconing at her home.
Born in Framingham, Mass., she was the daughter of Herbert ``Bunny" and Virginia (Reeves) Smith.
Mrs. Miller was the wife of Aden Miller and the mother of Grant K. Gomes, Hawaii. She had lived in Ashland, and was a graduate of Ashland High School, class of 1970. Moving to Hawaii, where she lived for 20 years, she attended and graduated from the University of Hawaii School of Architecture, class of 1988. She lived in Lonaconing since 1992, and was working for the Canal Place Authority, Cumberland, at the time of her death.
Surviving in addition to her husband and son are three brothers, Richard Smith, Ashland, Mass., Alan Smith, Hawaii, and William Smith, Burlinton, Mass.; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Pamula) Dunham, Ashland, Mass., Mrs. Kenneth (Linda) Winters, Moro Bay, Calif., and Mrs. Charles (Linda) Loomis, Hawaii. Also surviving are her mother-in-law, Peryl Folk; brother- and sister-in-law, Glen and Bonnie Miller, Lonaconing; and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St., Ashland, Mass., on Friday, May 16, 1997, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the Federated Church of Ashland, Main Street, on Saturday, May 17, 1997, at 1 p.m.
Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Lonaconing Library Fund, Lonaconing.
ROSIE E. MILLER
WESTERNPORT - Rosie E. Miller, 89, of Baltimore, formerly of Westernport, died Dec. 30, 1996.
Graveside services will be at Bloomington cemetery on Saturday, May 31, 1997, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Steffen Carr officiating.
