MARTHA MORRISON
WESTERNPORT - Martha Morrison, 85, of the Moran Manor Nursing Home, formerly of Main Street, Westernport, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Aug. 14, 1911, in Keyser, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Taylor Morrison and the late Georganna (Johnson) Morrison.
Miss Morrison was retired from the Westvaco Corp. as an administrative assistant.
She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Westernport; and a former member of the Westernport Senior Citizens.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. with Father Charles McClean officiating.
Services will be conducted at the St. James Episcopal Church on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in the Philos cemetery, Westernport.
SHIRLEY E. MORRISON
OLDTOWN - Shirley Eileen Morrison, 60, of Oldtown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Pentecost, Sunday, May 18, 1997, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 30, 1937, in Higginsville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Simon and Verdie Lewis. She also was preceded in death by five brothers, Elroy, William, Eugene, Edgar and Simon, Jr., and one sister, Rosella.
Eileen, as she was known to her family and friends, retired from Village Dairy, White Oaks Shopping Center, and had been the owner and operator of Mountaineer Rest, Paw Paw, W.Va. She most recently was employed in the dietary department at the Cumberland Nursing Home. Eileen was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church, a devoted Christian, and servant of her Lord. Although she surely will be missed, we know she is with her Lord.
Surviving are two loving children, son Jim Twigg and wife Dawna, Ridgeley, W.Va., and daughter Sandy Cowgill and husband Dennis, Oldtown; two brothers, Arlo Lewis and wife Kay, Wiley Ford, W.Va., and Buddy Lewis and wife Edna, Picardy; one sister, Jan Ott and husband John, Pin Oak, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Angie, Jimmy Lee, and Stephen; one great-grandchild, Blair Britton; 13 nieces and nephews, and one very special niece, Joyce Cutter, Picardy.
Friends will be received at the Bethel Assembly of God Church, Oldtown on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the church on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Richard Wilson officiating.
Interment will be in Three Churches cemetery, Three Churches, W.Va.
Pallbearers will be John Lewis, Larry Lewis, Billy Lewis, Brad Lewis, Wade Cutter, and Mike Twigg.
The Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., is in charge of the arrangements.
RUTHVAN W. MORROW, JR.
OAKLAND - Ruthvan W. Morrow Jr., 83, of 10 South Fifth Street, Oakland, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 1997, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born March 13, 1914, in Shepherdstown, W.Va., he was a son of the late Ruthvan W. Morrow Sr. and Louise (Licklider) Morrow.
Mr. Morrow was a retired Methodist minister, he taught in the Garrett County school system for many years, was a well known professional photographer, and was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Martha (Myers) Morrow; two sons, Dale W. Morrow, Severn, and William R. Morrow, Lancaster, Ky.; one daughter, Dianne V. Rice, Oakland; two brothers, Edward Morrow, Martinsburg, W.Va., and Henry Morrow, Shepherdstown, W.Va.; one sister, Elizabeth Busey, Martinsburg, W.Va., 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Morrow donated his body to the West Virginia Human Gift Registry.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Faith United Methodist Church, Cranesville, W.Va., on Saturday, Sept. 13, 1997, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. David Stackpole officiating.

MARGARET "PEG" MOSES
LONACONING - Margaret "Peg" Wilson Moses, 83, of St. Mary's Church Terrace, Lonaconing, died Friday, Dec. 5, 1997, at Egle Nursing Home, Lonaconing, where she had been a patient since Oct. 20, 1997.
Born at Lonaconing on May 2, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Bella (Wilson) Moses.
She was a retired store clerk of 43 years at Love Grocery Store, Lonaconing.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
At her request, her body was cremated. A memorial service will be held Friday, Dec. 12, at 1 p.m. at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, Lonaconing, with the Rev. Leslie Miles officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery, Lonaconing.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.

CECIL M. MOSIER
CUMBERLAND - Cecil M. Mosier, 73, of Grand Avenue, Cumberland, died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997, at his residence.
Born Feb. 9, 1924, in Missouri, he was the son of the late Cecil M. Mosier Sr. and Myrtle Mosier.
Mr. Mosier was a retired carpenter. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a Protestant by faith.
Surviving are Madeline Mosier; three sons, Robert Mosier, Ridgeley, W.Va., Dennis Mosier and wife Elizabeth, Oldtown, and Daryl Mosier and wife Deborah, Cumberland; four daughters, Dorothy Mosier, Ridgeley, Doris Sponaugle, Lexington, Va., Deborah Mosier, Ridgeley, and Terry Mosier, Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Bobbi Jo Bailey, Fisk, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 1 p.m. with Chaplain Lewis Twigg officiating.
Interment will be in Maryland Veterans cemetery at Rocky Gap.
Graveside military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
STEVEN E. PAXTON
CUMBERLAND - Steven Eugene Paxton, 44, of Cumberland, died Sunday, March 30, 1997, in the Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit.
Born Feb. 10, 1953, in Cumberland, he was the son of Gerald Eugene and Shirley Lee (Zink) Paxton, Cumberland.
Mr. Paxton was a graduate of Fort Hill High School, class of 1971. He was employed at the Schmidt Baking Co., where he was a supervisor and route driver. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Cumberland.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Debra Sue (Judd) Paxton; three daughters, Jody Lynn Merkel and husband Robert, Shannon Lee Peck and husband Bruce, and Cheryl Ann Paxton, all of Cumberland; three brothers, Gregory Paxton, Conway, Ark., Thomas and Timothy Paxton, both of Cumberland; his maternal grandmother, June Zink, Cumberland; one grandson, Tre Alexander Peck, Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the George-Upchurch Funeral Home on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Country Club Road, Cumberland, on Wednesday at 11 a.m., with Donald Ward officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

ELEANOR HAMMOND MOSSER
CORRIGANVILLE - Eleanor Hammond Mosser, 82, of Corriganville, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1997, at Memorial Hospital.
Born April 26, 1915, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Jacob A. and Patience (Ginn) Daniels. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Olen C. Mosser; and four brothers.
Mrs. Mosser was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Corriganville, the church choir, the Ladies Aide Society, and she was a life member of the Trinity United Methodist Women.
Surviving are one son, David O. Mosser, Westminster; three sisters, Eloise V. Humbertson and husband, Albert, Parkersburg, W.Va., Marian I. Smith and Kathleen E. Nield and husband, Edward, both of Cumberland; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Crabtree, and Louise Clites; one brother-in-law, Edward Barncord, all of Corriganville; and one granddaughter, Krista Mosser.
Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at St. John's United Church of Christ on Friday at 1 p.m. with the Pastor Ruth Kershner and Pastor Steven Craft officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Gary Daniels, Daniel Humbertson, Norman T. Smith, Terry Crabtree, Scott Barncord and Mark Barncord.
