KATHRYN W. MCKEE
MIDLAND - Kathryn Woods McKee, 63, of Atlanta, Ga., formerly of Midland, died Saturday, April 12, 1997, at her home in Atlanta.
Surviving are six children, Wendy Nicely, Kirk McKee, Greg McKee, all of Atlanta; Richard McKee, Adelphi; Brian McKee, Raleigh, N.C. and Theresa Witt, Norfolk, Va.; four sisters, Coletta Foote, Betty Marie Foltz, Mary Leone Pitsenberger, and Roseann Morton and 10 grandchildren.

ROBERT W. MCKENNEY SR.
RAWLINGS - Robert William McKenney Sr., 60, of 16007 Maple Lane, Rawlings, died Thursday, March 20, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Feb. 16, 1937, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late John H. McKenney and the late Ruth (Knippenburg) McKenney.

Mr. McKenney was employed at Gatling's Auto Store in Westernport, and was a general contractor for a number of years. He coached Little League, Hot Stove and Rec League baseball.

He was a member of the Oldtown United Methodist Church, and was a U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Donna Jean (Norton) McKenney; two sons, Robert W. McKenney Jr. and wife Dawn, Flintstone, and Keith W. McKenney, Rawlings; a daughter, Tammy Gilpin and husband Kenny, Flintstone; two brothers, Raymond Nelson McKenney, Cumberland, and Henry "Sonny" McKenney, Cumberland; a sister, Inez Neff, Cumberland; two granddaughters; and one grandson.

Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Glenn F. Stevens officiating.

Interment will be in the Glendale cemetery, Flintstone.

DOLLIE F. MCKENZIE
AVILTON - Dollie Frost McKenzie, 86, of 161 McKenzie Road, Lonaconing, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Sept. 1, 1911, in Avilton, she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Mollie Frost Turner. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Byard McKenzie.

Mrs. McKenzie was a member of Old St. Ann's Shrine, Avilton, and Christian Mothers.

Surviving are one daughter, Mary Ann Minnick and husband Elmer, Avilton; and a number of step-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

The rosary will be recited on Sunday at 8:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Old St. Ann's Shrine on Monday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. William Moody as celebrant.

Interment will be in the St. Ann's cemetery, Avilton.

EMMA A. MCKENZIE
CUMBERLAND - Emma Amanda McKenzie, 75, of Pinto, Cumberland, died Monday, Feb. 17, 1997, in her residence, the same house where she was born.
Born on Aug. 4, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Elizabeth Mae (Schultz) Wertz. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Joseph McKenzie, on Dec. 23, 1992.

Mrs. McKenzie attended Saint Ambrose Catholic Church, Cresaptown. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are one son, Richard D. McKenzie, Pinto; a brother, Samuel E. Wertz, Lewes, Del.; two grandchildren, Gary Matthew McKenzie, Bowmans Addition, and Michelle Renee Harris, Cumberland; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted in Sunset Memorial Park on Thursday, Feb. 20, 1997, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Father Robert McCreary officiating.

Interment will follow.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit, 600 Memorial Ave., Cumberland, MD 21502.

The Hafer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

JAMES A. MCKENZIE, SR.
ARLINGTON, Va. - James Arthur "Sonny" McKenzie Sr., 68, of 600 Jackson St., Falls Church, formerly of Midland, Md., died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1997, at Columbia Arlington Hospital, Arlington.
Born April 13, 1929, in Midland, he was the son of the late Joseph McKenzie and Pearl (Sanders) McKenzie.

Mr. McKenzie retired as a supervisor of Waste Management for the County of Fairfax, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 130, Falls Church.

Surviving are his wife, Florence Elizabeth (Johnson) McKenzie; three sons, James A. McKenzie Jr. and wife Eleanor, Rome, N.Y., Joseph D. McKenzie and wife Judy, Rome, N.Y., and Matthew K. McKenzie and wife Dolores, Woodbridge; four daughters, Susan K. McKenzie Henderburg and husband Gary, Longmont, Colo., Theresa L. McKenzie, Terra Bella, Calif., Tamela A. Denekas and husband Robert, Sterling, and Cynthia F. McKenzie Cole and husband Keith, Woodbridge; three brothers, Joseph McKenzie, Eckhart, Md., David McKenzie, Warsaw, and Kenneth McKenzie, Warsaw; two half brothers, Herb Rowe, Brian Road, Md., and Wayne McKenzie, Allentown, Pa.; one sister, Mary Alice Sullivan, Sacramento, Calif., and one half sister, Linda Gene Cox, Greenbelt, Md.; 14 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, Lonaconing, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Father Edward S. Hendricks officiating.

Interment will be in Eckhart cemetery, Eckhart, Md.

Graveside military honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard of the Cumberland area.

LINDA KAY MCKENZIE
CRESAPTOWN - Linda Kay McKenzie, 52, of 14127 Louise Drive SW, Cresaptown, died Wednesday evening, June 25, 1997, at her home. A believer in Jesus Christ, she is now residing in heaven with Him.
Born Nov. 29, 1944, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Mrs. Virginia (Twigg) McDonald, Cumberland, and the late Garland S. McDonald.

Mrs. McKenzie was a volunteer worker for local flood victims. The Federal Emergency Management Association awarded her a letter of appreciation for her outstanding efforts. She was a dedicated volunteer worker for the American Heart and Cancer Associations, and also cared for her elderly friends and neighbors. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, VFW Henry Hart Post No. 1411 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Fort Hill Class of 1962.

Surviving are her husband, William L. McKenzie Jr., Cresaptown; a daughter, Stacey Linn West and husband Aaron C., Easton; a brother, Garland Q. "Mick" McDonald and wife Peg, Hedgesville, W.Va.; a sister, Shirley Biafore and husband John, Cumberland; and two grandchildren, Timothy Aaron West and Amy Catelinn West, both of Easton.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit.

NORVEL L. MCKENZIE
FROSTBURG - Norvel Lee McKenzie, 79, of 17631 National Pike, Frostburg, (Garrett County), died Tuesday, June 24, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland.
Born Jan. 28, 1918, in Webster County, W.Va., he was the son of the late George Thomas and Annie (Carey) McKenzie. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Dan McKenzie; and one sister, Nora Mae Alt.

Mr. McKenzie was formerly employed in the Warp Knitting Department of the Celanese Corporation and was a farmer. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, and member of the American Legion and VFW, both of Frostburg, and Mount Zion United Methodist Church.

Surviving are five sisters, Verna McClure, Upperglade, W.Va., Ruby Cottrill, Cowen, W.Va., Myrtle Woodring, Bolair, W.Va., Rhoda Kilpatrick, Sun City Center, Fla., and Georgia Hildreth, Alexandria, Va.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Friday from 2 to 6 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Warren Friend officiating.

Interment will be in Blocher cemetery.
