CALVIN O. WOLFE
CUMBERLAND - Calvin Ora Wolfe, 66, of Cresap Road, Oldtown, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 1997, at Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 3, 1930, in Romney, W.Va., he was the son of the late Monroe Wolfe and Pinky (Crites) Wolfe.
He was a construction worker and a member of the Maryland Sheriff's Institute.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia (Gibbs) Wolfe; one step-daughter, Lynn Wilkinson, Oldtown; one step-son, Edward McDaniel, Oldtown; seven step- grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Leasure-Stein Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard C. Broome, Jr., officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
CHARLES THOMAS "DUCKEY" WOLFE
BLOOMINGTON, Md. - Charles Thomas "Duckey" Wolfe, 74, of Bloomington, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 7, 1997, at the V.A. Medical Center in Richmond, Va.
He was born Dec. 31, 1922, in Bloomington.
Mr. Wolfe was a World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are his son Dennis L. Wolfe, Westernport; daughter, Nanna M. Hamilton, Richmond; four grandchildren, Dennis, Tracey, and Crystal Wolfe, Westernport, and Greg Hamilton, Richmond.
At his request his body has been donated to the Anatomy Board.
A memorial service will be held at Bloomington United Methodist Church by the Rev. Donald Nelson, on Friday, Nov. 21, 1997, at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Bloomington United Methodist Church.
He will be greatly missed.
FREDERICK D. WOLFE
SANFORD, N.C. - Frederick Daniel Wolfe, 29, of Sanford, formerly of Frederick, Md., was fatally injured Thursday, March 6, 1997, in a plane crash near Davis, W.Va.
Danny was the grandson of the late Frederick E. Clise and Lucille Stevenson (Clise) Byrd, formerly of Midland, Md.
Surviving are his mother, Lola Marie Clise (Wolfe) Grinder and step-father, Dale Grinder, a brother, Michael Wolfe, a son, Jarrett Wolfe and a daughter, Blake Wolfe, all of Frederick; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in the Cumberland, Md., area.
Visitation will be at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Church Street, Frederick, on Tuesday, March 11, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 12, at 2 p.m.
GEORGE H. WOLFE
SYKESVILLE - George Henry Wolfe, 92, of Coppers Ridge Nursing Home, Sykesville, formerly of Cumberland and New York City, died Wednesday, June 11, 1997, at the nursing home.
Born April 22, 1905, in Ridgeley, W.Va., he was the son of the late John Henry and Mary Ann (Knouse) Wolfe. He also was preceded in death by a wife, Merci Dobell; one brother, J. Robert Wolfe; and two sisters, Mary Angela Wolfe and Regina Twigg.
Mr. Wolfe was a retired inventor and world traveler. He was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Cumberland. He was the inventor of the Gas-O-Gene Charcoal Burning Engine. He was a member and a past president of the Pen and Brush Club of New York City.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy M. Wolfe; three brothers, Clarence E. Wolfe and wife Patricia, Wiley Ford, W.Va., J. Donald Wolfe and wife Mary, Burlington, N.C., Henry R. Wolfe and wife Patricia, Baltimore; two sisters, Gertrude H. King, Bethesda, M. Marjorie Brakeall and husband Thomas, Rising Sun; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Christian wake service will be conducted on Sunday at 8:45 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Monday at 10 a.m. with Father Vance Pastorius, OFM, Cap., as celebrant.
Interment will be in SS Peter and Paul cemetery, Cumberland.
JESSIE P. WOLFE
OLDTOWN - Jessie Pearl Wolfe, 70, of Oldtown, went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, June 11, 1997, at Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit, Cumberland.
Born Feb. 8, 1927, in Glebe, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Myrtle (Buckley) Walters. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin K. "Jack" Wolfe, in 1981; and three brothers, Charles O., James O., and Ralph L. Walters.
Mrs. Wolfe was a loving homemaker. She was an active member of Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, Mount Tabor United Methodist Women, and a past member of Spring Gap Homemakers.
Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Bain, Seattle, Wash., and Nancy G. Rebert, Oldtown; one brother, L.R. "Peck" Walters, Oldtown; one sister, Rachel V. Bauman, Louisville, Ky.; two grandchildren, Tisha Marie Presley and husband Robert, and Sarah Kathryn Rebert; one brother-in-law, Robert H. Long; four sisters-in-law, Norma L. Long, Frances Walters, Helen Walters, and Audrey Walters, all of Oldtown; three aunts, Dorothy Nixon and husband Ray, Marie Crider, and Georgie Lough; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Joe DiNicola, the Rev. Glenn Stevens, and nephew, the Rev. David Diehl officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
RUTH E. WOLFF
BALTIMORE - Ruth Elaine (Ault) Wolff, 67, of Baltimore, formerly of the Cumberland area, died Friday, July 4, 1997, at Manor Care, Essex.
Mrs. Wolff was born on Sept. 1, 1930, in the Cumberland area. She retired from the Bell Atlantic Company in 1992 after 19 years of service. She previously had worked at the Bendix Radio Corp., Towson, for 22 years.
Surviving are one daughter, Robin Wolff Duggar, Riverdale; one grandson, Kiel Duggar, Riverdale; and many close friends and relative.
Services will be private.
"MAMIE" M. WOLFORD
ECKHART - "Mamie" Mary Wolford, 86, of Eckhart, died Thursday, June 19, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late George and Annie (Couch) Korige. She also was preceded in death by two husbands, Joseph Adominck and Melvin Cecil Wolford; and two daughters, Jean Haislip and Irene Cochran.
She was employed by Kelly Springfield Tire Company. She was a member of St. Michael's Church, Eagles Auxiliary 1273; Moose Auxiliary 221, and American Legion Unit 24.
Surviving are one daughter, Dorothy Murphy and husband, Tim, Allentown, Pa.; two sisters, Betty Villa and Kay Beitzel, both of Eckhart; eight grandchildren, including Monty Cochran, Eckhart; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Fr. William Moody officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
WILLIAM H. WOOD
FROSTBURG - William Howard "Howie" Wood, 45, of Main Street, Frostburg, died Monday, Nov. 3, 1997, at Midlothian.
Born April 22, 1952, in Frostburg, he was the son of Bill and Ruth (Mercer) Wood of Frostburg.
Mr. Wood retired as a Trooper First Class of the Maryland State Police. He was a member of the Trinity Assembly of God Church, Midlothian.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are his wife of 24 years, Nancy (Skidmore) Wood; two daughters, Krista Jean Singleton and husband Kirk, Flintstone, and Kelly Long, Frederick; one son, Brandon William Wood, at home; one brother, Blaine Wood and wife Anne, Edmond, Okla.; two grandsons, Kaleb Singleton and Cammron Schurg; one nephew, Nicolas Wood; two nieces, Rachel Wood and Carleigh Wood; and a special friend and adopted mother, Idabel Neilson, Frostburg.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Trinity Assembly of God Church, Midlothian, on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jimmie Blair officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery, Lonaconing.
