HAROLD A. WAGNER
CUMBERLAND - Harold Adam Wagner, 88, of Potomac Park, Cumberland, died Sunday, July 13, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born March 5, 1909, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Peter and Margaret (Sherry) Wagner. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ada Wagner.
Mr. Wagner was retired from the Hygienic Sanitation Company, Cumberland. He was a member of the SS Peter Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree and the Cumberland BPO 63 Elks.
Surviving are four daughters, M. Anita Werner and husband Kenneth, Susan J. Wilson, Phyllis A. Clark and husband Earl, all of Potomac Park, and Elaine Clatterbuck, Stephenson, Va.; two sisters, Dorothy Matthews, Cumberland, and Margaret Griffey, Homestead, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, Cresaptown, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake will be conducted on Tuesday at 8:45 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at SS Peter Paul Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Father Vernon Busch as celebrant.
Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be his four grandsons, Mike Clark, Ron Clark, Mike Clatterbuck, and Randy Wilson, George McKenzie and Sammy Blume.
M. GENEVIEVE WAGNER
CUMBERLAND - M. Genevieve Wagner, 93, of Cumberland, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 1997, at the Cumberland Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for 13 years.
Born Aug. 4, 1904, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late John B.T. Jenkins and Anna May (Wolfe) Jenkins. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Harry D. Wagner.
Mrs. Wagner was retired from Memorial Hospital, where she had been a student nurse supervisor. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church and the Pythian Sisters, Cumberland.
Mrs. Wagner was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are a nephew, John S. Jenkins, Cumberland; and a great-nephew, William H. Jenkins III, San Jose, Calif.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Dec. 29, 1997, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. F. Allan Weatherholt Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in the Rose Hill cemetery.
WALTER R. WAGONER
CUMBERLAND - Walter R. Wagoner, 72, of South Street, Cumberland, died Friday, May 30, 1997, at Memorial Hospital Hospice.
Born Sept. 21, 1924, in Springfield, W.Va., he was the son of the late Walter S. and Della A. Wagoner. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Catherine Wagoner in 1996; one brother, Raymond Wagoner; and one sister, Blanche Adams.
Mr. Wagoner was a retired pipefitter for the Chessie System Railroad. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Cumberland.
Surviving are one daughter, Darlene L. Twigg and husband George, Cumberland; two brothers, Elmer Wagoner and Chester Wagoner, both of Springfield, W.Va.; and one granddaughter, Leslie Seeders, Cumberland.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Wilcoxson Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
MARGARET V. "PEG" WALKER
WESTERNPORT - Margaret V. "Peg" Walker, 69, of 21418 Creekside Drive, Westernport, died Friday, May 23, 1997, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, W.Va.
Born Sept. 10, 1927, in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas Lease and Ethel Pearl Lease, Westernport. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Patty Lea Walker; and a grandson, Orville Ray Glisson.
Mrs. Walker was a member of the American Legion Post 109 Ladies Auxiliary, Mechanicsburg, Pa.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by seven daughters, Barbara Jo Payton and husband Jerry, Warner Robins, Ga., Jeannie Hicks and husband Galen, Carlisle, Pa., Linda Nuttall and husband O.T., Boulder, Colo., Bonnie Willey and husband Wink, Norfolk, Va., Gail Manhollan and husband Gerry, Mechanicsburg, Pa., Peggy Bryce, Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Mary Beth Johnson and husband Mike, Monroe, Mich.; one sister, Judy Ewell and husband Bert, Warner Robins, Ga.; one brother, John T. Lease and wife Frannie, Cumberland; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m.
RUTH I. WALKER
CUMBERLAND - Ruth Ileane Walker, 64, of Queen City Towers, Cumberland, died Sunday, June 1, 1997, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born Aug. 31, 1932, in Oakland, she was the daughter of Beecher Morris and Margaret Morris. She also was preceded in death by one sister, Barbra Jean Ingram.
Miss Walker attended Oakland High School, and was well liked by everyone. She will be deeply missed by her family.
Surviving are one sister, Martha Lee Shope and husband Earl, Oakland; two sons, Phillip A. Walker and wife Karen, Cumberland, and Richard E. Walker, Oklahoma; three grandsons, Michael A. Walker, Cumberland, Jeremy Hawn, Roswell, N.M., and Nathanael Walker, Greeley, Colo.; two stepgranddaughters, Lora L. Foose and husband Jason, and Sara L. Gaither, all of Cumberland; one stepgreat-grandson, Jason T. Foose Jr., Cumberland; two nieces, Roxanne Malcomb and husband Rick, Oakland; Cathy L. Cook and husband Ralph, Columbia; three nephews, Gary E. Shope and wife Pam, Cumberland, Mark J. Shope and wife Gail, and David A. Shope and wife Tammy, all of Oakland; five great-nephews, Patrick Malcomb, Nick Malcomb, Ryan Shope, James Cook, and Rusty Cook; two great-nieces, Heather Malcomb and Heidi Malcomb; and one aunt, Carrie Shaffer, Oakland.

Services will be at the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m.

FROSTBURG - Anthony "Bank" Walsh, 70, of Frostburg, died Tuesday, May 27, 1997.
Friends will be received at Sowers Funeral Home Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. with the Rev. George A. Aist officiating.
Interment will be in Johnson cemetery.
MILTON E. WALTERS
Milton E. "Sonny" Walters, 54, of 5 Broadway, Frostburg, died Sunday, March 30, 1997, at his sister's residence following a short illess.
Born Sept. 19, 1943, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Milton R. and Mary Ellen (BeeŠ man) Walters.
Mr. Walters was employed by the Frostburg State University Housekeeping Department for the past 23 years. He attended the Trinity Assembly of God Church, Midlothian. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Farrady Post 24; Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 348; and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 1273, Frostburg, and Aerie 2883, Cresaptown.
Surviving are one daughter, Suzanne Marie Walters, Cumberland; one sister, Shirley M. Robinette, Frostburg; his girlfriend, Valinda Broadwater, Frostburg; one niece, Mary Ann Timney and friend Ivan Plummer, one nephew, Richard Robinette and wife Tina, all of Hagerstown; one great-niece, Alesha; and one great-nephew, Devon.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Frostburg Eagles Aerie 1273 will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the Trinity Assembly of God Church, Midlothian, on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jimmie Blair officiating.
The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park.
