ROBERT THOMAS "BOBBY" PAIGE

Salisbury - Robert Thomas "Bobby" Paige, 43, of Salisbury died Friday, August 5, 2005. Born in Wolfeboro, NH, he was the son of Thomas Howe Paige of Salisbury and Martha Elaine Letteney Wlajnitz of Manchester, NH.

Bobby loved hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents he is survived by a daughter Jamie Paige, two sons Christopher Thomas Paige and Alexander Madison Paige, a sister Eva Marie Ralston of Havelock, NC, a step mother Dorothy Paige, a step father Jacob Wlajnitz, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Following cremation a private family service will be held in New Hampshire. Arrangements are being handled by the staff of Bounds Funeral Home.

Quickley, Frances M.

Frances M. Quickley was born on April 15, 1908 to the late Matilda Smith and Harrison Whye in Butler, Maryland. She departed this life June 10, 2009 at Citizen Nursing Home, Havre de Grace, Maryland.

Mrs. Quickley received her education in the Baltimore County School System. She married James Quickly III on April 24, 1925, from this union 6 children were born.

After raising her children she was employed by Senator Milard Tydings and Dr. Charles Foley. After retiring, she enjoyed her family. Most of all she loved the Lord. She spent many hours praying and reading her bible. She was baptized at Zion Temple Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Dorothy Virginia Barnes. She attended Zion Temple until she was physically unable to do so.

Mrs. Quickley leaves to cherish her memory; one daughter, Reverend Shirley Watson; 2 sons, Jerome, Sr. (wife Mary) and Morris.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Quickly, III; children James, Jr, Morris, Sr., Alice, Arthur and Isaac.

When Mrs. Quickley went home to be with the Lord, She was the head of 6 generations with 64 grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday June 15, 2009, 11a.m.-12p.m., funeral starting at 12p.m. at Zion Temple Church, Havre de Grace, MD. Burial will be in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD.

Quailes, John Henry Louis

John Henry Louis Quailes of East New Market, Maryland known fondly as "Buddy" passed away on October 14, 2004 at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge. He was 64.

He was born on February 7, 1940 son of the late Ernest L. Quailes and Anne G.Collins Quailes.

John attended school at Frederick Douglas School in Seaford, DE. After school he moved to Federalsburg and worked at various saw mills, factories, and Harper Farm in Cambridge, MD.

John was a lovely person and caring to all especially to his brother, Charles. He also leaves to mourn, his lifelong friend, Doris A. Robinson of Federalsburg, a daughter Ella Mae Walker (Doll) of Bradenton, Florida, two sons, John Henry Louis Quailes, Jr. of Baltimore, MD, Timothy Bolden of Hagerstown, MD, five sisters, Martha Kellum of Hurlock, Shirley Quailes and Goldie Taylor of Wilmington, Joan Green of Frederick, DE, Alice Baynard of Felton, DE, a brother, Charles Quailes of East New Market, two grandchildren, Eddie Williams known as "Donnie", of Bradenton, FL, and Kandi Wongus of Hurlock, and three great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Mildred Quailes, Clara Quailes, Rose Lee Quailes, Diane Kelsey, and one brother, Ernest L. Quailes, Jr.

Funeral services for her will be held on Friday, October 22, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Inurnment will be private.

Zeitschel, Leonard

LEONARD F. ZEITSCHEL, 95, of Marion Station and formerly of Brooklyn Park (Baltimore), died Sunday, October 21, 2007 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Born in Baltimore on September 23, 1912, he was a son of the late Alfred and Anne Lay Zeitschel. His wife, Elizabeth Ford Zeitschel, died in July 1982. He had been making his home in Marion Station for more than 12 years.

He was a retired truck driver for Seagram's in Relay, Maryland. A member of Marion Baptist Church, he enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by three children, Patricia E. Lohmeyer of Bel Air, Maryland, Jo Ann Klebe and husband Leroy of Baltimore and Leonard Michael Zeitschel and wife Kathy of Columbia, Maryland; six grandchildren, John T. Lohmeyer, III of Forest Hill, Maryland, David M. Lohmeyer of Pylesville, Maryland, Kelly N. Zeitschel of Columbia, Leroy Klebe, Jr. of Baltimore, Douglas Klebe of Logansville, Pennsylvania and Michelle N. Wagner of Baltimore; eight great-grandchildren, Aimee R. Pitts of New Orleans, Louisiana, Laura L. Lohmeyer of Frederick, Maryland, Misty N. Penaherrera of Baltimore, Randy Taylor of Baltimore, Samantha Klebe of Logansville, Daniel Klebe of Logansville, Kristina E. Lohmeyer of Joppatown and Joshua M. Lohmeyer of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey; one great-great-grandson, Aidan P. Penaherrera of Baltimore; two sisters, Freda Roberts of Baltimore and Pauline Harris of Severna Park, Maryland; one brother, William Zeitschel of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Al Zeitschel.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 2 PM at Marion Baptist Church in Marion Station where friends may call two hours prior. The Rev. Joe Barnes will officiate. Graveside committal services will follow Friday, October 26, 2007 at 11 AM at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be sent to Marion Baptist Church Building Fund, 5833 Crisfield Highway, Marion Station, Maryland 21838.

Arrangements are in the care of Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield.

Zacovic, James J.

Mr. James J. Zacovic died Monday, April 22, 2002 at his beloved home near Chesapeake City with his family at his side.

He was born on May 8, 1911 near Uniontown, PA. He attended Dukane University on an athletic scholarship and also High Point College in N.C. He began a career with the DuPont company as a cost engineer in Morgantown, WV in 1941. He also had involvement with the Manhattan Project during World War II in Hanford, WA. He spent most of his career in Wilmington, DE and retired from there in 1974. As a volunteer he worked many years for the Chesapeake Bay Girl Scout Council overseeing the scout camp properties in Delaware and Maryland. He was a member of the Cecilton Lions Club and supported the Trinity United Methodist Church in Chesapeake City.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mildred; 2 daughters, Joyce A. Peters and her husband, Don of Loudon, TN and Linda J. Zacovic of Dover, DE; a sister, Loretta Zavaston of Uniontown, PA; 6 grandchildren, Debbie Guelette, Richard James Martin, William Peters, Carl Peters, Mark Peters and James Peters; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday April 26, 2002 at R. T. FOARD FUNERAL HOME, 318 George Street, Chesapeake City, MD where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be at St. Stephen's Church Cemetery in Earleville, MD.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Northern Chesapeake Hospice Foundation c/o funeral home.

Zeise, Carol Novak

Carol Novak Zeise, age 64, of Elkton, MD, died Monday June 4, 2001 at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD.

Mrs. Zeise was the Cecil County Chamber of Commerce '1993 Member of the Year'. She was a member of the Cecil County Tax Appeals Board for 10 years, which is appointed by the Governor of Maryland. She was also a member of the Union Hospital Auxiliary and the Elk River Yacht Club. She worked for the prevention of drug & alcohol abuse in the Elkton/Newark area. She was a connoisseur of fine wines.

She is survived by her husband, Ingo Zeise of Elkton; 2 daughters, Lisa Zeise and her husband, Miles Chedekel of La Quinta, CA and Kim Zeise Neel and her husband, Ralph of Columbia, SC; and a granddaughter, Amanda Neel of Columbia, SC.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 12, 2001 at R. T. FOARD FUNERAL HOME, 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Jewish Center for Respiratory Disease or the Northern Chesapeake Hospice Foundation c/o R. T. FOARD FUNERAL HOME, PO Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.

Zachary, Mabel Jewell

Mabel Jewell Zachary, 97, formerly of Delmar, died Thursday, May 31, 2001 in Columbus, Mississippi. Her husband, Coy B. Zachery, Sr. preceded her in death in 1988.

She is survived by a son, Coy B. Zachary, Jr., two daughters, Juanita Earnhardt and Ruth Moore, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at 11:00 AM at Holloway Funeral Home, P. A. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Pastor Ronald G. Parker will officiate. Interment will be in Parsons Cemetery.

Vaeth, Michael Curley

Michael Curley Vaeth, 70, passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2004, at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late John Clifford Vaeth and Agnes Atkins Vaeth.

Michael was an attorney from 1971 until the present time with his practice in Snow Hill and was involved with the Child Advocacy Project of the Eastern Shore, Inc. in Worcester County from 1998 until the present. He was a professional panel attorney or counsel to Farmers Home Administration, Office of the Public Defender of the State of Maryland, Maryland Judicare Program and CAPES from 1970 to the present. He was a city solicitor in Snow Hill from 1976-1979, was an assistant's state's attorney in Worcester County from 1971-1973 and again in 1985 and was an associate attorney with Adkins, Potts and Smethurst from 1970-1971. He was house council for Delmarva Power and Light from 1966-1970, was a claims adjustor and claims attorney for Fidelity Deposit Company of Maryland from 1963-1966 and did credit analysis for the Commercial Credit Company from 1960-1963.

Michael was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran serving from 1953-1957 and a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 1960 with a B. A. degree majoring in political science and from the University of Baltimore, L.L.B., in 1965. He was a member of Sigma Delta Kappa, a national legal fraternity, at the University of Baltimore from 1963-1965. He was an avid big game hunter traveling throughout the world.

He is survived by his three children; Rita Ellen Vaeth of Snow Hill, Ruth Vaeth Reed of Chestertown and William Yates Hillyer of Salisbury; four grandchildren Rachel, Zachary, Emma and Hannah; twin sister, Michaelene Vaeth Hardwick of Lutherville, MD; sister, Mary Vaeth Kirwin of Woodbine, MD;xix nieces and nephews: Clifford, Noel, Lynn, Carol Anne, Barbara and Jennifer; and two puppy's, Caelin and Yukie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Vaeth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2004, 10:30am at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 514 Camden Avenue, Salisbury, Maryland with Rev. Ralph T. Castelow officiating. A prayer service will be held on Friday evening 5:00pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury, Maryland. A celebration of Michael's life will continue from 6-9pm at the family home located at 3819 Algonquin Trail, Snow Hill, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Somerset Department of Social Services, Foster Care Unit, 30397 Mt. Vernon Rd., Princess Anne, MD 21853 and/or the Worcester County Gold, Foster Care Unit, PO Box 39, Snow Hill, MD 21863.
