Wadkins, Jr., David Allen

David Allen Wadkins, age 4, of Chesapeake City, MD, died suddenly Thursday, September 26, 2002 at Union Hospital.

David was born on Sept. 25, 1998 in Abingdon, VA. He enjoyed crabbing, the outdoors, dinosaurs and dogs, and playing games with his sister.

He is survived by his mother Lyssa Wadkins Casey of Abingdon, VA, his father, David Allen Wadkins, Sr. and his step mother Centina Mayworth of Chesapeake City, MD; 4 sisters Elizabeth Wadkins of Chesapeake City, Christina Wadkins of Detroit, MI, Brianna Miles of Lake Worth, FL and Hannah Casey of Abingdon, VA. He is also survived by grandparents William and Audrey Wadkins of Chesapeake City and great grandmothers Vera Mills of Smyrna, DE and Jane Fries of Abingdon, VA as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Service will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at R.T. FOARD FUNERAL HOME, 318 George St., Chesapeake City, MD where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wadkins family c/o the funeral home.

Xenides, Abbie Flowers

Abbie Flowers Xenides, age 39, of Fishing Creek, MD, died early Sunday morning, October 12, 2003, where she was stricken ill at home and was pronounced dead at Dorchester General Hospital, Cambridge.

Born on February 10, 1964 in Cambridge, Dorchester County, Maryland, she was the daughter of Joyce Flowers of Fishing Creek, MD, and Robert Sperti of Orlando, FL.

Abbie was a graduate of Cambridge South Dorchester High School, Class of 1982 and a graduated with honors from Chesapeake Community College where she earned an Associates Degree.

On October 21, 1995, she married Adam C. Xenides.

Abbie was a member of Hosier Memorial United Methodist Church, Fishing Creek, MD.

Abbie was employed as an office manager at Delmarva Community Services, Inc., Cambridge, MD.

Abbie enjoyed being with her family and friends. Her hobbies were fishing and crabbing.

Surviving besides her husband and parents are two daughters Sarah Caroline Xenides and Norah Elizabeth Xenides of Fishing Creek, MD, three brother Scott Poland, of Fishing Creek, MD, Robert and Vincent Sperti of Orlando, FL, a sister Brea Tato of Orlando, FL, parents-in-law John and Marian Xenides of Narragansett, Rhode Island, Cathy and J.D. Stacy of Easton, MD, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., Cambridge. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Hosier Memorial United Methodist Church, Fishing Creek, MD, where the family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service. Officiating at the service will be The Rev. Joseph Kelly. Burial will follow in the adjoining churchyard, Hosier Memorial UM Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Scott Poland, Phil Gootee Jr., Tom Powley, Mark Flowers, Justin Aaron and Vincent Sperti.

Memorial offerings may be made to the Abbie F. Xenides Memorial Fund, c/o The National Bank of Cambridge, P.O. Box 550, Cambridge, MD 21613.

Yancy, Tracey Lee

Tracey Lee Yancy, 25 of Havre de Grace, passed away Monday, May 12, 2008 in Havre de Grace, Maryland. She was born December 21, 2008 to Peggy L. Yancy and Bernard Yancy.

Tracey was a 2001 graduate of Havre de Grace High School. She leaves behind her three children, Christopher Breeden, Jr. Mariah Thompson, and David Smith all of Havre de Grace, Maryland.

She also leaves to mourn her, mother of Peggy L. Yancy and step-father Philip Carey of Havre de Grace, Maryland; father Bernard Yancy and his wife of Texas; grandmother Mary M. Koonce of Havre de Grace, Maryland; brother William D. Strawbridge of Aberdeen, Maryland; sister, Teresa Yancy of Havre de Grace, Maryland; brother in law, Claude Daniels of Havre de Grace, Maryland; two uncles, William J. Strawbridge and wife Jamie of Knoxville, Tennessee, and David J. Strawbridge, Sr. and wife Shari of New Jersey; two aunts, Mary Ann Stewart, and Patricia L. Strawbridge and her companion David Keithley all of Aberdeen, Maryland. She will be greatly missed by her two nieces, Tiffany Strawbridge of Glen Burnie, Maryland and Mercedes Yancy of Havre de Grace, Maryland and three nephews, Krsterpher Yancy, Allan Rabb and Quinton Daniels all of Havre de Grace, Maryland.

Tracey was preceded in death by her loving grandfather the late Fred J. Koonce and her aunt the late Sarah R. Jones.

A viewing will be held at Lisa Scott Funeral Home, P.A. 552 Lewis Street, Havre de Grace, Maryland 21078 on May 16, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Services will be held at St. James A.M.E. Church, 617 Green Street, Havre de Grace, Maryland, at 11:00 AM, family and friends may call at 10:00 AM. Internment will be at Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, Maryland.

Pallbearers will be, Ronald McGuire, William D. Strawbridge, Michael D. Strawbridge, David J. Strawbridge, Jr. Robert Hawkins, Claude Daniels, Chris Breeden, Sr. and David Keithley, Sr.

Victor Yanek

Victor Yanek, age 90, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at his home in Ocean City. Born in Buffalo, NY he was the son of the late John Yanek and Frances Yanek. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Elizabeth "Dot" Saunders Yanek. He was preceded in death by his stepson Charles Henry Hardin IV in 2002. There are two-step grandchildren Amy Hudson and Leland Hudson. Also surviving is a sister Katherine Jackson of Jamesburg, NJ, two nieces, Valerie Frances Ely and Gloria Kirkland, two nephews, Edward M. Skok and Ted Yanek, Jr. He was preceded in death by two brothers Edward Yanek and Theodore Yanek, Sr., and a sister Rose Skok.

Mr. Yanek had been a co-owner and operator of Wood Containers Inc. in Newark, MD. He also owned the 46th st. Grocery Market, had been a realtor with Caine Real Estate in Ocean City and had been a logger with Ralph Holloway. He was an avid golfer and had the distinction of having achieved three holes in one, one at Continental Deerfield course and two at the Boca Raton Course.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11am at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Jack Savage will officiate. Interment will follow in Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron.

John A. Abarno

John Anthony Abarno, 69, of Fredericksburg died Thursday, March 21, 2002, at Bowling Green Health Care Center. Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, is handling arrangements, which were incomplete this morning.

Aaron, Mary E.

Mary E. Aaron, 78 of Cambridge, passed away at the Dorchester General Hospital on Sunday December 7, 2008. She was born at Federalsburg on April 20, 1930, and was a daughter of the late John Francis and Clara Elizabeth Williamson Trice.

She attended schools in Cambridge. On March 31, 1948 she was married to William H. Aaron. Mr. Aaron passed away on July 24, 1992. Some years ago she had worked at the Phillips Packing Co., and later worked at Dayton's Restaurant in Cambridge. Most of her life was spent as a homemaker, and was loved and adored by all. Mrs. Aaron was a member of the Bay Country Church. She was stricken suddenly at her home on Saturday when she was taken to Dorchester General Hospital where she passed away on Sunday afternoon.

Survivors include a daughter Nancy L. Roberts of Linkwood, , two sons William J. Aaron of Ripley, Miss. and Richard A. Aaron of Cambridge, five grandchildren Lori Huber of Fishing Creek, Steve Aaron of Cambridge, Jeanne Dollins of Dallas, Texas, Richard A. Aaron, Jr. of Ft. Hood, Texas and Bobby Brown of New Castle, DE., and seven great grandchildren Amanda Aaron, Brittany Aaron, Jimmy Aaron, Zachary Aaron, Grant Dollins, Nathan Huber and Brooke Dollins. She is also survived by three sisters Anna Travers of Baltimore, Ada Larrimore of Dover, DE and Mildred Beebe of Rehoboth, DE, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by three brothers Virgil Trice, Charles Trice and Walter Trice and two sisters Martha Meekins and Edna Shackelford.

A funeral service will be held on Monday afternoon at 1:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge with the Rev. D.J. Wooten and the Rev. Doug Wooten officiating. Interment will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Bill Huber, Robert Smith, Steve Aaron, and Phillip Wallace. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bay Country Church, 714 Locust Street, Cambridge, MD 21613.

Aaron, Frances T.

Frances T. Aaron, 78, of Cambridge, passed away late Wednesday night, January 16, 2002 in the Emergency Room of Dorchester General Hospital.

She was born in Cambridge on December 26, 1923, the daughter of the late Samuel James and Beulah Pritchett Tyler. She was raised in Cambridge and was a graduate of Cambridge High School. On December 26, 1941 she was married to Norman Lee Aaron. Although Mr. Aaron was a career military man, Mrs. Aaron made her home in Cambridge except for a few years. Mr. Aaron passed away on January 12, 1982. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. At Grace she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School some years ago and was a member of the Dr. Hines Bible Class.

She is survived by one daughter; Francine A. Harrison of Cambridge, two grandchildren; Brian C. Harrison of Millersville and Autumn-Lynn Harrison of Cambridge, four sisters; Alice T. Bell of Salisbury, Louise T. Slacum of Cambridge, Margaret T. Kinnamon of Salisbury, and Rebecca T. Willey of Cambridge, one brother; Robert J. Tyler of Cambridge, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a sister Mildred T. Bradshaw.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Thomas Funeral Home on Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock by Rev. Douglas M. Ridley. Burial will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday night from 7:30 to 9. Memorials may be made to the Norman Lee Aaron Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Sheila North, Cambridge-South Dorchester High School, 2475 Cambridge Beltway, Cambridge, MD 21613.

Pall bearers will be nephews of Mrs. Aaron's.

Sinsabaugh, Eric Alan

Eric Alan Sinsabaugh of Falling Waters, WVA passed away on Tuesday August 24, 2010 at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, MD.

He was 22.

Mr. Sinsabaugh was born October 17, 1987 in Chestertown, MD the son of Joseph A. Sinsabaugh of Falling Waters and Edna P. Biddle of Felton, DE.

He was a Fork Lift Operator for Pavestone Manufacturing in Hagerstown, MD and just recently obtained his CDL in hopes of pursuing a career as a Commercial Truck Driver.

Mr. Sinsabaugh was a New England Patriots Fan and enjoyed telling stories and joking around. He also enjoyed movies and video games.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step father, Leonard Biddle; a brother, Michael Sinsabaugh of Falling Waters; a sister, Michele Sinsabaugh of Dover, DE and her daughter, McKayla; his grandparents, Joe and Edna Blevins of Cheswold, DE, and Jim and Barb Spray of Ellendale, DE; a half-brother, Justin J. Sinsabaugh of Falling Waters; a half-sister, Patricia Phillips of Kennedyville, MD and her 2 children, Dustin and Anna; 3 step-brothers, Matt Smith, Kyle Smith, and Dylan Gsell; and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Funeral services will be Friday August 27, 2010 at 3 PM in the Faries Funeral Chapel located at 29 South Main Street, Smyrna, DE where friends may call at 1 PM.

Burial will be in Barratts Chapel Cemetery near Frederica, DE.
