Bounds, Richard Lee
Richard Lee Bounds, 51, of Salisbury, died Saturday, November 19, 2000 at Deers Head Center in Salisbury after a long illness.
Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late William Lee Bounds Sr. and Anna Lee Taylor Bounds.
Mr. Bounds attended North Dorchester High School most of his school years and moved back to Salisbury in 1967.
He worked at several jobs including Frontier Town, Star & Sun Park, and Ocean City Police Department.
He is survived by two daughters: Sherri Lee Keyes and Karen Dawn Bounds; one son, _____________________ all of Salisbury; four grandchildren: Brian Keyes, Brittany Keyes, Abigail Thompson and Robert Thompson III; three sisters: Bonnie Bozman of Delmar, Rhonda Wilkinson and Patricia Vetra both of Salisbury; two brothers: William Lee Bounds Jr. of Lacey’s Spring, AL and Gary Bounds of Ocean Pines; three uncles and their wives: Creston & Joyce Taylor, George Taylor, and Jim & Doris Bounds; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2000 at 2:30 PM. at Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron, MD.
Chaplain Davis Duitscher will officiate.

Madron, John Curtis
John Curtis Madron, 84, of Port Deposit, MD, died Wednesday, February 28, 2001 at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center.
Mr. Madron was born on January 10, 1917 in Trade, TN.
He was an electrician at Bainbridge for 26 years before retiring.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 194 in Rising Sun for over 50 years.
He was a Pearl Harbor Survivor and a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy during WWII for 6 years.
He was a avid hunter and enjoyed bowling and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Johnsie C. Madron of Port Deposit; 1 son, Jackie Glenn Madron of Colora, MD; 3 daughters, Patricia M. Shires and Linda Sue Harrington, both of Port Deposit, and Judy L. Holbrook of Rising Sun; 3 sisters, Lucille Eller and Sue Parsons, both of Mountain City, TN and Lois Wills of Trade, TN; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hillery & Veanie Madron, a brother, Earl Madron and 2 sisters, Millie Lea Seiss and Ruth Seehorn.
Service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday March 3, 2001 at R. T. FOARD FUNERAL HOME, 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun where friends may call two hours prior.
Rev. Larry Johnson of New Life Faith Center in Port Deposit will be officiating.
Burial will be in West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD.
Full military honors will be provided by American Legion Mason Dixon Post 194 Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Northern Chesapeake Hospice Foundation or the Calvert Manor Nursing Scholarship Fund c/o the funeral home.
D'Aprix, Shirley S.
Shirley S. D’Aprix, 71, of Ocean Pines, died Friday, November 17, 2000 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin.
Born in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Miriam Neuthaler Hinitch.
Her husband, Charles D’Aprix died in 1979.
Mrs. D’Aprix was a member of the Friends of Library in Ocean Pines.
No formal services are planned at this time.

Simmons, Howard B. "Butch"
Fire Department
Howard B. “Butch” Simmons, 67 of East New Market, passed away at the Mallard Bay Care Center in Cambridge on Monday, August 9, 2010.
He was born in Cambridge on August 6, 1943, and was a son of the late Lawrence Fletcher and Angeline Wolff Simmons.
He attended Academy School in Cambridge and elementary School in East New Market and graduated from North Dorchester High School in 1961.
Butch had worked at Preston Trucking Co. for 17 years and also for Trinity Transport for 7 years, later with Glacier Refrigerated Services.
He also worked for Service Tire Truck Center until he retired on September 1, 2009.
On April 28, 2001 he was married to the former Julie Ann Dail.
She passed away on May 15, 2009.
Butch had been an active member of the East New Market Vol. Fire Co. for 49 years.
He had attended St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in East New Market.
Butch had been in failing health for the past year and had been at the Mallard Bay Care Center for about a month when he passed away on Monday.
Survivors include a son Richard L. Simmons and his companion Amanda Willoughby of Federalsburg, two step daughters Denise Lauck of East New Market and Donna Abbott of Cambridge, two grandchildren Eric W. Simmons and Amy Simmons, one great grandson Eric William Simmons, Jr., two sisters Susan Dodson and her husband Sonny of Cambridge, Elizabeth Carey of Lewes, DE and one brother Lawrence F. Simmons, Jr. of California.
In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a five brothers John Simmons, W.F. Simmons, William R. Simmons, George D. Simmons and Thomas W. Simmons and one sister Laura Cater.
A funeral service will be held on Friday afternoon at 1:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with the Rev. Lloyd Massey officiating.
Interment will follow at the East New Market Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday and also during the hour preceding the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of the East New Market Fire Co., P.O. Box 280, East New Market, MD 21631.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Phillips, Donald Cheesman, Sonny Dodson, John Rickwood, Richard Gauen and Eric W. Simmons.
