RAYMOND J. KAZOR
Age 86, of East China Township, died May 23, 2004. Mr. Kazor was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy. He worked for Pressed Metals in Marysville before establishing The Little Grocery in East China Township with his wife. Mr. Kazor is survived by his daughters, Janice Beattie of Marine City and Charlene Recor of China Township; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Leonard of Pennsylvania, Earl of Florida and Robert of Fair Haven; and sisters, Margareite Dennis of Melvin, Harriet Duncan of Chesterfield, Betty McGregor of Algonac and Jacqueline Arnold of Marine City. He was predeceased by his wife, Goldie; brothers, Frank and Edward; and sisters, Irene Linder, Eleanor Charbeneau and Louise Vermeulen. Services were held in Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City, with the Rev. Tim Birney officiating. Arrangements were made by Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial was in Holy Cross cemetery. Memorials can be made to Holy Cross Activities Center or Marine City Scholarship Foundation.
VIOLA H. NOTEBOOM
Age 91, of New Haven, died May 22, 2004. Mrs. Noteboom was a machine operator at Threaded Products in Richmond until her retirement. She was a member of New Haven Senior Citizens Programs. Mrs. Noteboom is survived by her son, Rodger of Richmond; daughters, Nancy Coyle of Milford, Janet Harris of Macomb; brothers, Edward Yaek of Richmond, Donald Yaek of Memphis; sister, Helen Schade of Richmond; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice; son, Ronald; brothers, Carl, Arthur, Albert and Arnold Yaek; and a sister, Dorothy Klusendorf. Services were held in Rewalt Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Richmond, with the Rev. Marion Pohly, of New Haven-Meade First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Centennial cemetery in New Haven.
MARY BINKOWSKI
Age 87, of Richmond, formerly of New Baltimore, died May 22, 2004. Ms. Binkowski retired as an environmental worker for St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Clinton Township. She is survived by her sons, Michael of Connecticut and Robert of Chesterfield; daughter, Diane Labiak of Chesterfield; brothers, Joe, Stanley, Ed and Frank Suma; sister, Lottie Robbins; 19 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Ms. Binkowski was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Suma; and a sister, Virginia Bright. Services were held in Gendernalik Funeral Home, New Baltimore, with the Rev. Richard Damaske officiating. Burial was in Resurrection cemetery, Clinton Township.
DONALD SCOTT CAMERON
Age 38, of Sterling Heights, died July 17, 2004. Mr. Cameron served in the U.S. Marines and was employed by Enterprise Automotive of Troy as a fixture builder. He is survived by his wife, Cheri; sons, Ian and Michael; daughter, Cheri Bruner; parents, Ian and Joan Cameron of Harrisville; sisters, Sandy Hulett of Memphis, Clare Barwick of Canton and Robyn Kluth of Lake Orion; and many extended family members. Services were held in Tiffany-Young and Hauss Funeral Home, Armada, with the Rev. Norman Farver, of Calvary Baptist Church, Armada, officiating. Burial was in Willow Grove cemetery.
JOSEPH F. ACHATZ
Age 83, of China Township, died July 22, 2004. Mr. Achatz was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 856. He was a farmer throughout his life and also worked at the St. Clair Rubber Company as a millwright prior to retiring. Mr. Achatz is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Carrie Mayo of China Township and Gayle Walker of Fort Gratiot; sons, Calvin of China Township, Joe of Marine City and Fred of East China; nine grandchildren; a sister, Rita Babel of Marine City; and many extended family members. Mr. Achatz was predeceased by a granddaughter and a grandson. Services were held in Holy Cross Church, Marine City. Arrangements were made by Bower-Rose Funeral Home, Marine City. Military honors were bestowed by The St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council. Memorials can be made to Blue Water Habitat for Humanity or The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan.
JOSHUA D. PRIESTER
Age 21, of Wales Township, died July 21, 2004. Mr. Priester attended the Woodland Developmental Center and Marysville Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his parents, Don and Connie; a sister, Rachel; a brother, Jeremy; and many extended family members. Services were held in Marysville Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. James Turner officiating. Arrangements were made by Marysville Funeral Home. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Wales Township.
FRED W. ROWBOTHAM
Age 81, of Port Huron Township, died July 21, 2004. Mr. Rowbotham was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army and was employed with Raymond Excavating prior to his retirement. He was a member of Charles Hammond American Legion Post 8. Mr. Rowbotham is survived by his sons, Freddy of Port Huron and Jay of Avoca; daughters, Sandra Middleton of Smiths Creek and Gail Middleton of Avoca; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many extended family members. Services were held in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens cemetery.
DWIGHT M. "TWIG" SNODGRASS
Age 79, of St. Clair, died July 17, 2004. Mr. Snodgrass was a World War II veteran serving with the U.S. Army as a medic. He was the former owner of St. Clair Nursery and a member of St. Clair Golf Club, Ducks Unlimited and First Congregational Church. Mr. Snodgrass is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Dwight III of Washington; daughter, Mary Pavlov of St. Clair; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters, Janet O'Brien, Dorothy Schueneman and Patricia Kruesel; and many extended family members. Cremation has taken place. Services were held in L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair. Memorials can be made to St. John's Hospice or donor's choice.
MARILY HOPPER
Age 66, of Wisconsin, formerly of New Baltimore, died July 21, 2004. Ms. Hopper was retired having worked in the insurance field and active in various genealogy societies. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Berland of California; son, James of New Baltimore; and many extended family members. Arrangements were made by Smith Funeral Home, Pardeeville, Wisconsin.
CAROLYN A. BILAND
Age 66, of New Baltimore died July 22, 2004. Mrs. Biland was a homemaker and formerly worked for Virginia Farrell. She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Creation Church, New Baltimore. Mrs. Biland is survived by her husband, Wesley; son, David of Linden; daughters, Kathleen McClure of Onsted and Karen Styles of Florida; six grandchildren; sister, Mary Bellow of East China; and a brother, Harry Lesko of Algonac. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Lesko. Services were held in St. Mary Queen of Creation Church, New Baltimore, with the Rev. Nicholas Zukowski officiating. LISA M. GIVENS
Age 36, of Fair Haven died July 17, 2004. Miss Gives is survived by her mother, Jennie Jovanovich; sisters, Sherry Desmarais and Kasandra Boyd; brother, Ronald; and many extended family members. Services were held in Kaul Funeral Home, St. Clair Shores, with the Rev. Robert Blondell officiating. Burial was in Resurrection cemetery, Clinton Township.
JOHN "JAY" L. LETKOWSKI
Age 41, of Lenox, formerly of New Baltimore, died July 22, 2004. Mr. Letkowski was a welder for Delta Industrial in Chesterfield. He is survived by his wife, Cindy; mother, Shirley Webb of Lewiston; father, John of Nevada; step-children, Michael Townsend of New Baltimore, Joseph Township of Marine City and Kyle Townsend of Lenox; step-sister, Lisa Litke of North Carolina; step-brother, Andrew Webb of North Carolina; two grandchildren; and many extended family members.
