Pastor Adrian A. Gray, 55, passed away Sunday, February 7, 1999 at his home in Marlette.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of Marlette; a son, Robert and Marguerite Gray of Romeo, Michigan, a brother, Bill and Lorrie Gray of Sandusky; and grandsons, Robert II and Spencer Gary of Romeo, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Margaret Johnson.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, February 11, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at the Marlette Apostolic Church with Pastor Robert Starr officiating. Interment was at the Mt. Hope cemetery in Lapeer.

Memorials may be given to the family.

Arrangements by the Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette.

Michael John Kendrick
Michael John Kendrick, 37, of Otter Lake, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 8, 1999 at the Lapeer Regional Hospital in Lapeer.
He is survived by his wife, Joann; three sisters, Brenda and Edward Smith, Texas, Emma and Jim Williams, Keego Harbor, Michigan, and Valerie and Michael Peterson, Milford, Michigan; and a brother, Steven and Debbie Kendrick, Springfield.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, February 11, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at the Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette with Rev. Richard Fledderjohann officiating.

Pallbearers included Steven Kendrick, Paul Jordan, Randall King, Preston Jordan Jr., Ricky Hayward, Mark Lambson and Rodney McCarty.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Jessie Ruth Roy
Jessie Ruth Roy of Attica, passed away on February 3, 1999 in the Marlette Extended Care Facility.
She is survived by her husband Robert F. Roy Sr. of Attica; three daughters, Linda Harper of Houston, Texas, LeighAnn and Dan Kalbfleisch of Allenton, Michigan and Bobbye and John Sexton of Marlette; two sons, Robert Roy Jr. of Columbia, Tennessee and Andy Roy of Toledo, Ohio; father, Curtiss Cargill of Houston, Texas; a brother, Curtiss and Sara Cargill Jr. of Pasadena, Texas; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Janie and granddaughter, Melissa Sexton.

Cremation has taken place at the Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City, Michigan. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements by Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette.

Joseph G. Seers
Joseph G. Seers, 86, passed away Friday, February 5, 1999 at the Marlette Extended Care Facility.
He is survived by his wife Mary of Clifford; a son, Kerry of Clifford, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Katherine Seers; and four brothers, William, Andrew, Steve and John.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, February 8, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Clifford with Jude Ellinghausen officiating. Interment was at the St. Patrick's cemetery in Clifford.

A rosary service was conducted Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

Casketbearers included Craig Muxlow, Max Chappel, Dick Brown, Chuck Oberle, Ed McGinnis and Art Bower.

Memorials may be given to the donation of choice.

Arrangements by Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette.

E. J. Powell
E. J. Powell, 69, of Kingston, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 1998 at his home after a long illness.
He is survived by his children, Robin McIntosh of Swartz Creek, Lewis (Ronnie) Powell of Fairchild A. F. B., Spokane, WA. Richard Powell of Mayville, Jon (Tracy) Powell of Kingston; step-children, Doreen (Dan) Williams of Cass City, Leah Pabst of Marlette, Paula (Steve) Osentoski of Utica, Chris (Brian) Brown of Decker; special friend and companion, Bonnie Barrons of Kingston; sisters, Thelma Felice of Rochester Hills, Doris (Bill) Jackson of Lewiston; brother, Gerald (Sue) Powell of Kingston; 12 grandchildren, Joshua McIntosh, Shelby Powell, Zachary Powell, Jake and Kali Powell, Heather Stratton, Sarah and Matthew Pabst, Justin Nathan, Steven Osentoski, and Hali Brown; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene, a brother, Donald; and his parents, Lewis and Mabel Powell.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, November 21, 1998 in the Kranz Funeral Home, Kingston with Rev. Keith Mead officiating. Interment in East Dayton cemetery, Caro.

Military services under the direction of the Kingston VFW Post #5317.

Memorials may be made to the McLaren Hospice or Kingston VFW Post #5317.

Delilah M. Cummings
Delilah M. Cummings, 88, of Kingston, passed away Monday, November 16, 1998 at her home in Kingston.
She is survived by three sons, Jay and Mabel Caverly of Kingston, Calvin and Kay Caverly of Kingston and Raymond and Carol Caverly of Gagetown, Michigan; four daughters, Dorothy and Elroy Gilmore of Mayville, Michigan, Bonnie and Charles Cummings of Mayville, Laural and Robert Miller of Kingston and Linda and Jimmy Harris of Fostoria, Michigan; two step-sons, Dale and Judy Cummings of Kingston and Elton and Joanne Cummings of Caro, Michigan; three step-daughters, Norma and Ernie Campbell of Kingston, Nancy and Dennis Sieler of Deckerville, Michigan and Connie and Melvin Witkovsky of Caro; a sister, Deola Gilmore of Kingston; 27 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Ina Calkins; husbands Alton and Eugene, a daughter, Jeanie Sue; grandchildren, Dustin and Cheyenne; a brother, Raymond; and a sister, Neva.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, November 19, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at the Marsh Funeral Chapel Marlette with Rev. Kenneth Boileau officiating. Interment was in Kingston cemetery.

Casketbearers were William Miller, Troy Caverly, John Harris, Mark Cummings, Calvin Caverly and Roger Gilmore.

Memorials may be made to the Kingston Rescue, or the United Hospice Service.

Harold O. Phillips
Harold O. Phillips, 78, of Clifford, passed away Thursday, November 19, 1998 at Saginaw Veterans Nursing Home in Saginaw, Michigan.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; three sons, Robert and Nancy Phillips, Clifford, James and Ivanna Phillips, Silverwood, and David and Cecelia Phillips, Cass City; three daughters, Maxine and George Moore, Caro, Nancy Moore, Auburn Hills, and Sharon Smith, Caro; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Billy, Joseph and Russell; and a sister, Irene Deneen.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, November 23, 1998 at 1:30 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette with Rev. Keith Mead officiating. Interment was at West Burlington cemetery in Silverwood with military honors.

Pallbearers were Debi George, Heath Phillips, Pete McAlpine, Nathan Phillips, Kerry Anderson, Ken Phillips and Harry McDonald.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Fred J. Forbes
Fred J. Forbes, 70, a retired chef, passed away Monday November 16, 1998 at McKenzie Memorial Hospital in Sandusky, Michigan.
He is survived by four brothers, Jack Forbes of Algonac, Michigan, Randy Forbes of Peck, Michigan, Bill Forbes of Roseville and Bob Forbes of California; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place at the Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City, Michigan. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements by Marsh Funeral Chapel, Sandusky.

Ivan L. Ziegelmann
Ivan L. Ziegelmann, 77, of a retired farmer, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 1998 at the Marlette Community Hospital in Marlette.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn Ziegelmann of Marlette; three sons, Douglas and Laurie Ziegelmann of Waterford, Michigan, Dennis and Bonnie Ziegelmann of St. Louis, MO., and Zane and Alice Ziegelmann of West Point, MS.; two daughters, Ivanna and James Phillips of Silverwood, Michigan and Gayla Stanley of Caro; three step-sons, Darrell and Marilyn Whitmire of Ohio, Danny and Shirley Whitmire of Clarkston and Ron and Monica Whitmire, Kalamazoo, Michigan; two step-daughters, Carolyn and John Kinney of Clifford and Jeanette Morris of Kalamazoo; two brothers, Leo and Ann Ziegelmann of Bad Axe, Michigan and Loyal and Eleanor Ziegelmann of Roseville, Michigan; a sister, Ila and Kenneth Palmer of Sandusky, Michigan; a daughter-in-law, Barb Ziegelmann of Marlette; a step daughter-in-law, Bev Whitmire of Clarkston, Michigan; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; one step grandson; and a special dog, Sampson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Gertrude Ziegelmann, wife, Vera; and step-son, David Whitmire.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, November 14, 1998 at 1:00 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette with Rev. Jim Case officiating. Interment was in Mooretown cemetery, Snover.

Memorials may be given to the Bethel Church of CMA.

Casketbearers included Richard Ziegelmann, Robert Ziegelmann, Douglas Ziegelmann II, Jeff Ziegelmann, Cory Ziegelmann, Nathan Phillips, Jeremy Foreman, and Jeff Adam.

Paul L. Wright
Paul L. Wright, 87, passed away Friday, November 13, 1998 at the Tuscola Medical Care Facility in Caro, Michigan.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah of Mayville, Michigan, a son, Jeffrey and Victoria Wright of Beverly Hills, Michigan; four daughters, Judith and Dan Fischer of Marlette, Lovina Huffman of Marlette, Patricia Oberle of Caro, Michigan and Lori Lau of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a baby son, Robert; and a sister, Mary Drake.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, November 16 1998 at 1:00 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Chapel, Marlette with Rev. Bonny Lancaster officiating. Interment was at the Kingston cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Mayville United Methodist Church, or the donation of choice.
