Bernice "Ruth" Theule, age 88, of St. Johns, MI, formerly of Cutlerville, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017. Her husband, Jake Theule, and infant son, Theodore William Theule, preceded her in death. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her children, David (Gwen) Theule, Douglas (Sharon) Theule, Gary (Julie) Theule, Lisa (Peter) VandenBerg; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren, and one more on the way; brother, Tony (Ann) Maring, Bakersfield, CA; and several nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Friday, June 2, from 6 - 8 pm at Stroo Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 7171 Willard Ave. SE, on Saturday, June 3, at 1 PM. Rev. Cal VanderMeyden will officiate. Interment in Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Operation Smile.

Maelynn Benham (Kuiphof) went safely into the arms of Jesus Christ on June 16, 2017 with the assurance that she is walking in heaven without the aid of her wheelchair. She was born on August 9, 1938 to Andrew and Winifred Kuiphof. She is preceded in death and united with her beloved husband of 53 yrs, George Victor Benham, Jr. She will be greatly missed along with her radiant smile, her quirky quotes, clear whistle and Aldi's shopping lists, by her children, Sue (Glenn) Elders, Mimi (Greg) Maichele, Butch (Kim) Benham; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; her sisters and brothers, Mary Griffieon, Jim (Sharon) Kuiphof, Marty (Pete) Kuiper, Carol Holkeboer, John (Chris) Kuiphof, Julie (Tim) Halfpop; as well as several nieces and nephews. She retired after 25 yrs of driving bus for Wyoming Public Schools. Maelynn and George enjoyed nine years of their retirement in Sarasota, Florida. Previous to their retirement they were involved in the Wyoming Park Athletic Boosters. Over the years, they both enjoyed participating in their community and church events. A celebration of her life service will be officiated by Pastor Greg Stauffer at 12 noon on Friday, June 23 at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St, SE Grand Rapids 49508 . Visitation will be held from 11am-12pm with the service following. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to "New Mission Systems International" 2701 Cleveland Ave, Suite 200, Ft. Beverlee Ann Overeiner

Beverlee A. Overeiner, of Cutlerville, went home on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 after God provided her with a 70 year earthly journey. She is survived by her sons, Steve (Marleah) Overeiner, Robert Overeiner, David (Annmarie) Overeiner; grandson, Dylan Overeiner; sister, Nancy (Howard) Boeve; aunts, Janice (Roger) VanBeek, Ann Smedema, Henrietta VanderWerff, Pearl Schroeder; cousins, Judy (Ron) Cook, Lois (Al) Schutt; special "sisters" from eight years to 54 years; and God's angels, Tricia and Gary Heys. A celebration service for Beverlee will be held at a later date. Interment in Winchester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alternative Pathways.

Martin DeBoer, age 97, of Byron Center, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle and peace-loving man, who loved hunting, fishing and spending time in his vegetable garden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa DeBoer; son-in-law, Brian Gribler; brothers Johnny DeBoer, Adrian DeBoer, Peter DeBoer; sisters Anna DeBoer, Hermana DeBoer, and Carrie Mol. Martin will be greatly missed by his daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Tom Saunders, and daughter, Nancy Gribler. A celebration of his life will be held on August 5, at the cottage he built in Newaygo for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Spectrum Health Hospice, 100 Michigan St. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.

HUBERTS - Edythe L. Huberts, aged 99, formerly of Byron Center, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 10, 2017. Her husband, Simon Huberts; and sister, Dorothy Zondervan, preceded her in death. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Carole (Larry) Risbridger, Elaine (Curt) Pauzenga; grandchildren, Sarah (Matthew) Romijn, Matthew (Kim) Schad, Nathaniel Pauzenga; and great grandchildren, Elijah, Katelyn, and James Romijn. Private family committal services where held at Grandville Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Brian Vos.

Jordan R. Bosma, age 93, of Grand Rapids, passed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, June 10, 2017, to join his son, Jeff; and other family members who have gone on before him. Jordan proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 66 years, Marian; his children, Jordan J. (Lauri) Bosma, Cindy Feltwell, Janie (Bruce) Sluiter; daughter-in-law, Connie Bosma; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, June 20, at Unity Reformed Church, 4450 Poinsettia SE, with Rev. Mark Bergsma officiating. Interment in Rosedale Memorial Park. Contributions in memory of Jordan may be made to Unity Reformed Church or Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods. The family will greet visitors Tuesday prior to the service from 9 - 11 am at the church.

Robert G. West, age 83, of Byron Center, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 9, 2017, and went to be with his Lord. Bob retired from Enterprise Sheet Metal after many years of service. He was preceded in death by all six of his siblings. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Patricia; children, Connie Riggs, Gary (Jing) West, Wendy Wozniak; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Jacquelyn (Bill) Perry, Sue Noneman; and many nieces and nephews. The family will greet visitors on Tuesday, March 14, from 1 - 2 p.m. at Hillside Community Church, 1440 68th Street SE, where a Memorial Service will begin at 2 p.m. Pastor Ronald Kool and Pastor Daniel Bud will be officiating. Contributions in memory of Bob may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

BULTMAN, CHARLES - GRAND RAPIDS, MI
Charles Nathan Bultman, age 44, beloved son of Dick and Valerie Bultman, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 26, 2017. Charles is also survived by his sister, Ellen (Kenneth) Sudduth; brother, Ryan (Bethanie) Bultman; special friend, Kate Stearns-Bedford; nine nieces and nephews. Charles was born on November 2, 1972, and graduated from Wayland Union High School. A long time employee of Comcast, Charles was an avid bicyclist and loved to take his two huskies, Snow and Sadie, outside for a run/ride. Charles was predeceased by grandparents, Neil and Myrtle Bultman, Paul and Pauline Voogd, and niece, Grace Bultman. Visitation will be held at Stroo Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 29, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday, March 30, at Green Lake Calvary Church, 608 - 145th Ave., Caledonia, with Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Interment will be in Hooker Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Greater Grand Rapids Bicycle Coalition (GGRBC) at bikegrandrapids.org, or Pine Rest Residential Addiction Services at pinerest.org.
