Charles Smigiel
Funeral service for Charles Isadore Smigiel, 63, Andover, took place May 10 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Duane Gallentine officiated.
Smigiel died May 6, 2006 at Trevilla of Golden Valley. He was born Feb. 6, 1943 in Duluth to Isadore Eugene and Sigrud (Koivesto) Smigiel. He was a machinist at Waltech in Ramsey.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; son, Douglas Anderson; grandsons, Justin and Jared; siblings, Marie (Gene) Marshall, Andrew (Donna) Smigiel, Patricia (Gary) Klitsch, Jeanette Hall, Theodore (Dorothy) Smigiel and Vicky Rutter; stepbrothers, Art Maki, Butch Harder and Robert Harder; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Interment was at West Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Cheryl Vierzba
Funeral service for Cheryl A. Vierzba, 57, Forest Lake, took place May 9 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Brad Reese officiated.
Vierzba died May 3, 2006 at University Hospital, Minneapolis. She was born April 21, 1949 in St. Paul to Marvin L. and Lucille P. (Reznechek) Muecke and worked in accounting for an advertising firm.
She is survived by her husband, Harold 'Butch;' son, Terry (Jennifer) Pekula of Ham Lake; daughter, Tracy (Richard 'Pete') Peterson of Duluth; stepsons, Ryan and Broc Vierzba, both of Ham Lake; seven grandchildren; brothers, Roger (Sue Lindmeyer) Muecke of Blaine; sisters, Juliene (Jack) Shockley of Kentucky, Lanette (Bob) Hanscom of Blaine and LaVonne (Mark) Schmalzer of Fergus Falls; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Lucille Muecke; and brother, Galen Muecke.
Pallbearers were Ryan and Broc Vierzba, Matt Muecke, Justin Gilles, Brandon Strozyk and Rick Hanscom.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Katheryn Walter
Funeral service for Katheryn Lovonne Walter, 87, Greeley, Colo., formerly of Coon Rapids, took place May 5 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Greeley.
Walter died May 3, 2006 at North Colorado Medical Center in the hospice unit. She was born Aug. 25, 1918 in Witten, S.D., to Alfred and Elizabeth (Mauch) Ernst.
She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Kahler and husband Ralph of Greeley; son, Richard Ernst of Greeley (formerly of Coon Rapids); seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Elsie Mack of Grantsville, Wis., Mary Brumwich of Cambridge, Marge Zibell of Pierre, S.D.; and brother, Jake Ernst of Grantsburg, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Caroline Nyman; brothers, Ben Ernst, Lee Ernst, Lee Ernst; and one grandchild.
Interment was at Linn Grove Cemetery, Greeley. Arrangements were by Adamson Memorial Chapels, Greeley, Colo.
Marie Wuest
Funeral service for Marie M. Wuest, 101, Anoka, took place May 10 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Terry Beeson officiated.
Wuest died May 6, 2006 at Guardian Angels Nursing Home, Elk River. She was born Aug. 24, 1905 in Champlin to Joseph and Susanna (Franzen) Marsolais.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Wuest and wife Carol Kato of Oregon; and special niece, Jeanne Bloch of Champlin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thaddeus; and son, Donald Wuest.
Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Sylvia Ganske
Funeral service for Sylvia E.O. Ganske (Radel), 86, Blaine, took place May 3, 2006 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Ganske was a member of the Blaine and Coon Rapids senior centers and active in the African Violet Society of Minnesota.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen; son, Merle; granddaughter, Paula; brother, Donald Radel; sister, Cynthia (Lou) Balgaard; sisters-in-law, Delores Radel and Luverne Radel; and 25 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Elma Radel; and brothers, Melvin, Raymond, Orville and Vernon.
Interment was at Roselawn Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Marlyn Johnson
Funeral service for Marlyn Faye Johnson, 74, Andover, took place May 16 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Norman R. Berg officiated.
Johnson died May 11, 2006 at her home. She was born Dec. 19, 1931 in Seattle, Wash., to Roy Glen and Margaret (Whitaker) Edwards and was a retired waitress at Red Ox Cafe.
She is survived by her husbad, Dewey; sons, Conrad (Terri) Johnson, David (Alisha) Johnson, Burnett 'Bud' (Linda) Shosky, Michael Shosky; daughter, Laurie (Rip) Ripperger; grandchildren, Joshua, Andrew, Randy, Shelley, Joey, Jaclyn, Susan, Travis, Aaron, Nathan and Steven; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Allysa, Grace, Jaclyn and Serenity; niece, Marnie; and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Shosky.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Kathy Klug
Funeral service for Kathleen Mary Klug (Sirovy), 56, Blaine, took place May 10, 2006 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Joseph Whalen officiated.
Klug died May 5, 2006 in Oakdale. She was born Oct. 27, 1949 in Minneapolis to Edward and Betty Sirovy.
She is survived by her husband, Bernie; children, Aimee, Abbie, Emily, Adam, Elise; granddaughter, Gabbie; mother, Betty (Frank) Cole; brothers, Steve (Linda), Tom (Joanne), Scott, Rob (Linda); sister, Cyia Falconio; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward; and brother, Sonny.
Pallbearers were Jeremy, Steve and Tom Sirovy, Ted and Dan Klug and Armin Dubburke.
Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.
Lindsay Krupke
Funeral service for Lindsay Lockwood Krupke, 20, Alexandria, formerly of Oak Grove, took place May 13 at Family of Christ Lutheran Church. Rev. Dennis Perryman officiated.
Krupke died May 9, 2006 in Alexandria from the rare Fazio-Londe disease. She was born Feb. 16, 1986 in Coon Rapids to Stanley Arley and Carol Elizabeth (Craven) Krupke and was a student at Alexandria Technical College.
She is survived by her parents, Carol and Stan Krupke; brothers, Scott (Tara) and Brad (Tanya) Krupke; sisters, Shannon (Rick) Gode and Cara Leach; nieces and nephews, Callie, Hannah, Leah, Trent, Haley, Madison, Brynn, Mason, Landon and Braden; special friend, Albert Smith; aunts and uncles, Merlin and Elda Krupke, Annie Greer, Dale and Lisa Craven; and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Lindy Greer, Danny and Sara Craven, Kendale Kohnle, Scott Dwyer, Nick Hettwer, Matt Rohe and Rachel Wendlandt.

Hulda Lindeman
Funeral service for Hulda Josephine Lindeman, 90, St. Francis, took place May 16 at First Baptist Church of St. Francis. Rev. James C. Snow officiated.
Lindeman died May 11, 2006 at Cambridge Health Care Center. She was born Sept. 15, 1915 in Leola, S.D., to Charlie and Mary (Lutz) Remmers. She was a retired inspector at Federal Cartridge in Anoka.
She is survived by her son, Delbert (Carol) of Milaca; daughter, Diana (George) Robertson of Anoka; grandchildren, Betty, Bruce, Becky, Craig, Sharon, Deanna and Donovan; great-grandchildren, Eddie, Theresa, Jennifer, Ryan, Jaden, Jake, David, Brian, Richard, Robert, Jacob, Payton and Carter; great-great-grandchildren, Cassie, Christopher, Brittany, Rachel and Gregory; and two sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; two brothers; and three sisters.
Pallbearers were Craig Lindeman, Donovan Leigh and John, Jennifer and Trevor Elifrits.
Interment was at Oakview Cemetery, St. Francis. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Wesley Schlough Sr.
Funeral service for Wesley Schlough Sr., 85, Anoka, took place May 15 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Michael Van Sloun officiated.
Schlough died May 11, 2006. He was born Sept. 7, 1920 in Dunn County, Wis., and was a retired businessman.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet M. (Greenwood); children, Wesley Jr. 'Lee' (Joanne), James E. (Sharon), Richard P. (Rebecca), Mary C. (David) Huber, Judy M. (John) Stadden, Mark H. (Nancy), Donald R. (Teresa), Margaret A. Morgan, Barbara J. Fritz, Paul A. (Jamie), Patricia E. (Tom) Peterson, Therese M. Braun, Joy E. (Charles) Fleury; 33 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Isa; father, Henry; son, Gregory Joseph; and brother, Leon.
Pallbearers were Lee, Don, Mark, Dick, Jim and Paul Schlough.
Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Paul Sehr Jr.
Memorial celebration for Paul P. Sehr Jr., 45, Coon Rapids, will take place Sunday, May 21, 1 p.m., at George Green Park pavilion, Anoka.
Sehr died April 8, 2006 in Florida from cancer.
He is survived by his father, Paul P. Sehr Sr. (Lorene); sisters, Stephanie Trumble (John), Michelle Dudar-Sehr (George); and special caregiver, Becky Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Yvonne.
Arrangements were by Simonet Funeral Home.
