Lillian Stine
Funeral services for Lillian Catherine Stine, 81, Rochester, formerly of Anoka, will take place tomorrow (Saturday, May 1) at 11 a.m. at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Marty Pfab will officiate. Visitation is one hour before the service.
Stine died April 24, 2004 at Samaritan Bethany Heights, Rochester. She was born May 20, 1922 in Manfred, N.D., to Ernst F. and Catherina E. (Hollander) Knie. She was the retired co-owner, with her husband Howard, and secretary-treasurer of A-1 Tool in Fridley. They started the business in the garage of their Anoka home, where they lived for 38 years, before moving the business to Fridley in 1962. They retired in 1987.
She is survived by her sisters, Theresa Vanstrom of Minneapolis, Eleanore (Leon) Andrist of Rochester, Erna (Hollis) Coleman of Sparta, Wis.; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; parents, Ernst and Catherina Knie; and sister, Irmgard Jones.
Pallbearers will be David Virock, Leon Andrist, Matthew and John Muellerleile, Carl Kettunen and Roger Ruehling.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements are by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Richard Waagmeester
Funeral services for Richard Waagmeester, 89, Andover, took place April 24 at The Church of St. Patrick, Oak Grove. Rev. Thomas Kunnel officiated.
Waagmeester died April 21, 2004 in Andover. He was born July 25, 1914 in Larchwood, Iowa. He was a store owner for 15 years and then a corrections officer at Stillwater State Prison.
He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne (Jan) Aldrich of Andover; grandchildren, Craig (Deb) Aldrich of Rochester, Michelle Aldrich of Minneapolis, Leah Aldrich of Mesa, Ariz., and Scott Aldrich of Andover; great-grandchildren, Justin and Kali Aldrich of Rochester and Lillian Franklin of Mesa; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary; daughter, Kathleen; parents; and siblings.
Pallbearers were Craig, Scott, Michelle, Leah and Jan Aldrich and Kathryn Daniels.
Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Prairie. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Wilbur Fulks Jr.
Funeral services for Wilbur Michael Fulks Jr., 38, Coon Rapids, took place May 5 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Barry L. Davis officiated.
Fulks died April 29, 2004 in a car accident in Mobridge, S.D. He was born March 27, 1966 in Minneapolis to Wilbur Michael and Beverly Ann (Tackaberry) Fulks Sr. He was an assembler.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Alicia Johnson and Cassandra Fulks; brother, Rory Fulks; mother, Beverly Fulks; sisters, Robbin Garrison, Mary Jo Moe and Rose Winkelman; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Sr.

Craig Johnson
Funeral services for Craig Raynold Johnson, 54, Anoka, took place May 4 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Norman R. Berg officiated.
Johnson died April 20, 2004 at his residence. He was born June 21, 1949 in Minneapolis to Raynold Adolph and Bette Mae (Peterson) Johnson. He was a District 11 teacher and school administrator for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Kristine; children, Bjorn and wife Sarah, Tory and fiancee Tara; sister, Cindy (Marshall) Browne; nieces and nephews, Malcolm and Austen Browne, Tom and Anne Gunderson; brother- and sister-in-law, Beth and Paul Gunderson; and friends, Janet and Ev Madsen and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bette and Ray Johnson.
Interment was at Sunset Memorial Park. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Barry Kenney
Private family memorial services for Barry M. Kenney, 66, Coon Rapids, formerly of Anoka, took place May 1, 2004 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Kenney was retired after 33 years with the U.S Postal Services.
He is survived by his wife, Gaile; children, Brenda, Molly, Alan, Edward and Elizabeth; three grandchildren; sister, Barbara Zimmerman; and uncle, Charles Dorn.
Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Bernice LaVenture
Funeral services for Bernice LaVenture (Martin), 92, Anoka, formerly of New Richmond, Wis., took place May 1, 2004 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Richmond.
LaVenture died April 28, 2004.
She is survived by her children, Philip M. LaVenture and wife Pat, Joseph LaVenture and wife Colleen, Margie DeVore, Patrick LaVenture, Cathy Coulthard and husband Jim, Edward LaVenture and wife Lynn, Louise Mayes, Martin LaVenture and wife Coby, Julie Begich and husband Steve; and 60 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip J. LaVenture; and daughters, Elinor Keilen and Susan Johnson.
Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Michael McCabe
Memorial services for Michael James McCabe, 54, Blaine, took place May 1 at Sunrise United Methodist Church, Mounds View.
McCabe died April 27, 2004 at Fairview University Medical Center, Minneapolis. He was born June 20, 1949 in Minneapolis to Vernon Joseph and Eva Elizabeth (Fredrickson) McCabe and was a dispatcher at MTC.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah; son, Gerald; daughters, Amanda and fiance Seth Haynes and Susy; mother, Eva McCabe; sisters, Joyce (Lee) Knapper, Beverly Krueger and fiance Jim Chapman; and nieces and nephews, Chad and Sarah and Jackie and Mike.

Diana Roske
Funeral services for Diana Jean Roske, 53, Champlin, took place May 6 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel Anoka. Frank Stech officiated.
Roske died April 30, 2004 at her home. She was born March 2, 1951 in Cloquet to Michael and Doris May (Sam) Nickaboine. She was tester at APW Inc., Champlin, and was a former child nutritionist at Dayton Elementary School.
She is survived by her husband, Al; daughters, Wendy Roske, Christine (Brady) Johnson and Jessica (Mike) Anderson; father and mother, Lee and Doris Lembke; sisters, Doreen (El) Knutson, Sherry (Kevin) Nielson and Carol (Mike) Turner; brother, Alrick (Melanie) Wadena Jr.; eight nephews; and five nieces.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James (Ed) and Timothy; sister, Frances; niece, Kelli; and nephew, Justin.

John Sroga
Funeral services for John Joseph Sroga, 86, Elk River, formerly of Coon Rapids, took place May 4 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Bill DeZiel officiated.
Sroga died April 30, 2004 at Guardian Angels Care Center, Elk River. He was born May 9, 1917 in Minneapolis to Joseph Albert and Bridget Anne (Godawa) Sroga. He was a retired machinist at Apache Corporation, Minneapolis.
He is survived by his sons, Jim (Mary) of Ohio, Jeff (Jerri) of New Jersey; daughters, Judy (Rudy) Wicklander of Andover, Jackie (Cory) Ferguson of East Bethel; seven grandchildren; brother, Frank (Gladys) of Coon Rapids; sisters, Wanda Dreis of Elk River, Julie Karpen of Coon Rapids, Josephine Andrescik of Minneapolis; sisters-in-law, Ann Buszta of Minneapolis, Stel Sroga of Coon Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Agnes; parents, Joseph and Bridget; and brothers, Chester, Stanley and Ray (Betty).
Pallbearers were Jim and Jeff Sroga, Erik and Rudy Wicklander, Butch and Logan Ferguson and Wayde Kirvida.

Rosemary Wolter
Private services will take place for Rosemary Josephine Wolter, 88, Anoka.
Wolter died April 30, 2004 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Home, St. Paul. She was born Dec. 21, 1915 in Fort Wayne, Ind., to John C. and Emma I. Scheffer.
She is survived by her son, Kevin Wolter of Jacksonville, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; parents, John and Emma Scheffer; and sister, Catherine Herres.
Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Barbara Allen
Graveside services for Barbara L. Allen (Sundberg) 74, Minneapolis, formerly of Anoka, took place at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka.
Allen died May 4, 2004 in Minneapolis. She was born April 4, 1930 in Maple Grove.
She is survived by her children, Larry Sundberg, Kathleen (Jerome) Peterson, Janice (Michael)) Ruffino; grandchildren, Kristina Peterson, Mark Peterson, Jillian Peterson, Christal Swanepoel, Erica Swanepoel, Brianna Ruffino, Michael Ruffino Jr.; and great-grandson, Levi LaBore.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, William and Rose Hulburt.
