Davis, Frank

Frank Davis, 75, formerly of Beloit, Wis., died Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at St. Anne Hospice, Winona.

Frank was born December 31, 1925 in Fort Worth, Tex., to Cecil and Stella (Hinderliter) Davis. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. On June 26, 1953 he married Evelyn Symmonds in Iowa. She died in 1995.

Frank was a Journeyman Millwright at the GM auto manufacturer in Janesville, Wis. He has been a resident of St. Anne Hospice since 1996.

Frank is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Richard) Edwards of Winona and Janine Davis of Janesville, Wis.; a son, Timothy Davis of Sarasota, Fla.; four grandchildren, Laura (Matthew) Cummings, Shawn (Erin) Edwards, Charles Minnich and Joshua Davis; and a half sister, Marjorie Pody of Janesville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one brother, a half-brother, and a half-sister.

No services are planned at this time. Spring interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Lemmer, Marie Reisdorf

Marie Reisdorf Lemmer, 92, of St. Anne Hospice and formerly of Rollingstone, Minn., died Monday, February 26, 2001 at the hospice.

Marie was born August 15, 1908 in Rollingstone, to John P. and Elizabeth (Ries) Rivers. She and Leo F. Reisdorf were married on February 26, 1935. Leo died March 31, 1960. Marie and Andrew Lemmer were married on August 26, 1972 in Rollingstone. Andrew died February 15, 1990.

Marie and Leo farmed on Oak Ridge. Following his death Marie moved in to Rollingstone. She worked for Altura Rex and later for St. Mary's College as a cook. Marie enjoyed cooking and entertaining friends. She entered St. Anne Hospice in August of 1993.

Marie was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Rollingstone and belonged to the St. Theresa Society.

Survivors include a son, Jim (Ann) Reisdorf of Goodview, Minn.; two daughters, Betty (Charles) Meyer of Rollingstone and Jeanne (Jim) Rainey of St. Charles, Minn.; three step-sons, Edwin (Patricia) Lemmer of Rochester, Minn., Anthony (Ruth) and Raymond (Joy) Lemmer, both of Minneiska, Minn.; three step-daughters, Rita (Ronald) Lehnertz and Ann (Al) Ellingson, both of Rochester, and Mary (Peter) Faber of Rollingstone; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; twenty-one step-grandchildren; a sister, Irene Lindemann of Altura, Minn.; and a sister-in-law, Veronica Rivers of Rollingstone.

In addition to her two husbands, a grandson, Jason Reisdorf, and two brothers, Arnold and Al Rivers, preceded her in death.

A Funeral Mass was held Saturday, March 3, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone with Rev. Edward McGrath officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery at Oak Ridge.

Pallbearers were Dan and Fran Rainey, John Meyer, Rich and Pete Reisdorf, Mike and Tim Rainey.

Honorary pallbearer was Jason Reisdorf.

A memorial is being arranged.

A very special thank you to all the staff at St. Anne Hospice for the special care you have given to our "mother, grandma, great grandma."

Glover, Daniel Frank

Daniel Frank Glover, 65, Utica, Minn., died Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn.

Dan was born August 30, 1935 in Medford, Minn., to Delbert and Ruth (Ellsworth) Glover. Dan and Marilyn Matchett were married in Wauneta, NE on April 3, 1955.

He served in the Air Force for 14 years and was stationed in Kansas, the Azores, Africa, England, Michigan and California. In California he worked on the SR71 (spy plane) Project as an Avionics Aerial Repair Camera Technician. Upon retiring from the Air Force they moved to Utica and he worked as an electrician for Moe Electric of Lewiston for 26 years. In 1993 he formed Glover Electric. Dan had been in poor health the past four years.

He was a member of Lewiston Church of the Brethren and was a Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop #16.

Dan adored his grandchildren. He loved when they stopped for a visit.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; three sons, Daniel D. Glover of Utica, Darren D. (Shelly) Glover of Wichita, KS, and Delvin Dee (Linda) Glover of Lewiston; a daughter, Janette (David) Pedersen of St. Charles; five grandsons and eleven granddaughters; two brothers, Larry Glover of Rochester and Melvin Glover of Renton, Wash.; and two sisters, Louise Brady of Red Wing, Minn. and Nancy Giles of Dallas, Tex.

His parents, and a daughter, Janice Janeal, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were Saturday, March 3, at Lewiston Church of the Brethren with Rev. Gordon Hoffert officiating. The Lewiston American Legion conducted military honors following the service at the church. Cremation followed.

Brenno, Tilla Idella

Tilla Idella Brenno, 91, of St. Anne Hospice and formerly of 4250 Seventh Street, Winona, died Thursday, March 1, 2001 at the hospice.

Tilla was born in Hesper, IA, on September 25, 1909, the daughter of Johanna (Bjorgan) and Jas T. Ramlo. She married Owen E. Brenno on March 10, 1930 at Locust, IA. He died April 13, 1967.

She was a member of Central Lutheran Church and the Old Settlers, both of Winona.

Tilla was a wonderful grandmother and loved to simply take care of her family.

She is survived by two sons, Duane (Mary) of Winona and Lemont (LaDonna) of Minnesota City, Minn.; seven grandchildren, Cheryl (Bill) Jensen, Dixie (John) Shea, Barbara (Jerry) Kujak, Sherry (Jeff) Bogenholm, Lemont (Michelle) Brenno, Jr., Anne (Tom) Mootz, and Steve Brenno; ten great-grandchildren, Brian and Brent Jensen, Mindy (Trevor) Dailey, Jennifer and Jody Shea, Michelle and Christina Campos, Danny and Bethany Bogenholm and Matthew Brenno; three great-great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Alexis and Rebecca; a brother, James (Frances) Ramlo of Spring Grove, Minn.; and two sisters, Clara Brenno of Canton, Minn. and Myrtle Carpenter of Winona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, James, one daughter, Marilyn Lewis, and two granddaughters, Vicki Lewis and Roxanne Brenno.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Central Lutheran Church with Rev. Scott E. Olson officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Tilla's grandchildren.

Memorial designations may be directed to the Gundersen Medical Foundation, LaCrosse, Wis.

Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Erickson, Llewellyn B. "Bud"

Llewellyn B. "Bud" Erickson, 63, of 810 54th Avenue, Goodview, Minn., passed away Saturday, January 6, 2001 after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer.

Bud was born April 18, 1937 in Fillmore County, Minn., to Arnold and Evelyn (Hermanson) Erickson. He attended Mabel-Canton schools and served in the United States Army. Bud was a member of Goodview Trinity Lutheran Church, Goodview.

He married Loretta (Lori) Sherriff Miller on June 14, 1974 in Decorah, Iowa.

Bud worked for various farmers until 1981, when he started driving truck for Canton Mills, Inc. of Minnesota City, Minn. He traveled many miles and met many wonderful people. Bud had a great love for playing cards and enjoyed many years playing with a very special group on Tuesday nights at the Senior Center in Winona.

He is survived by his wife, Lori; three sons, Wayne (Yvette) Miller of Caledonia, Minn., Scott (Christy) Miller of Minnesota City, Minn., and Darren (Amy) Erickson of Winona; two daughters, Wendy Miller and Kathy (Bill) Halling, both of Winona; his mother-in-law, Helen Paris of Winona; eleven grandchildren: Shannon (Eric) Hubbard, Robin Lange, Katie Tweten, Amber and Dustin Miller, Joseph and Michael Halling, Hannah and Nichole Miller, Abigail and Derrick Erickson; one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Hermann; four brothers, Ardene Erickson, Junell Erickson, Larry (Shirley) Erickson and Dennis (Gloria) Erickson, all of Mabel, Minn.; three sisters, Marie (Bob) Muller of Rapid City, So. Dak., Patricia Rollins of Mabel, Minn., and Darla (Bill) Mauer of Charles City, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends he considered an extension of his family, especially DuWayne and Julie Like of Winona and Denise Nicholson of Onalaska, Wis.

His parents, two brothers, David and Joseph, and his father-in-law, Ray Paris have preceded him in death.

Bud was a very special, loving husband, father and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services were Tuesday, January 9 at Goodview Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Tony Hansen officiating.. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Casketbearers were Steve Tweten, Dave Bunke, Mike Wieczorek, Dave Wagner, Curtis Lippe and Dave McCorquodale.

Honorary bearers are Del Bunke and Lee Rain and all his card playing friends at the Winona Senior Center.

Kronebusch, Gerald A. "Gerry"

Gerald A. "Gerry" Kronebusch, 77, of rural Altura, Minn., died Sunday, January 7, 2001 at his home.

He was born November 1, 1923 in Whitewater Township, Oak Ridge, Minn., to Jacob and Anna (Zill) Kronebusch. He married Theresa A. Schlink on October 16, 1948 in St. Joseph's Church, Winona.

Gerry and his wife owned and operated a dairy farm for many years. He sold Pioneer seed corn for 18 years.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge #327 and was past Elk of the Year. He was a delegate to AMPI for 20 years, a member of St. Nicholas and St. Theresa Societies and was past president. He was a member of St. Anthony's Parish in Altura.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa of Altura; nine children: Joseph (Katherine) Kronebusch of Winona, Ruth (William) Rother of Plainview, Minn., David (Joann) Kronebusch of Winona, Andrew (Cynthia) Kronebusch of Ridgeway, Minn., LeRoy (SueLynn) Kronebusch of Altura, Dale Kronebusch of Witoka, Minn., Mary Peterson of Plum City, Wis., Edward (Katherine Banner) Kronebusch of Winona, and Sue Ann Kronebusch of LaCrescent, Minn.; twenty-three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters: Sylvester (Delores) Kronebusch of Austin, Francis (Lou) Kronebusch of Winona, Betty (Bronald) Kellet of Rochester, Minn. Elaine (Bruce) Stanton of Winona, Robert (Jean) Kronebusch of Minnesota City, Minn., Thomas (Arlene) Kronebusch of Winona, and Carol Orlowski of Winona; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Bechley of Fountain City, Wis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Zach, and three sisters, Sister Loretta, Lucille Puttman and Rosella Bechley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, January 11, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church in Lewiston, Minn., with Rev. Peter L. Schuster officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Oak Ridge.

Friends may call Wednesday from 4-9 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church. There will be a prayer service by the Elks at 7 p.m. Wednesday. There will be a rosary recitation at 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the church with visitation to follow until time of the Mass.

Pallbearers will be his sons and son-in-law.

Gerry respectfully requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to his daughter, Sue Ann's group home, A.B.L.E. Inc., 1700 Lancer Blvd., LaCrescent, MN 55947.
