Andring, Evelyn

Evelyn Phylis Louise Andring, 84, of St. Charles, Minn., died Wednesday, January 1, 2003, at her home.
A Funeral Mass was offered Saturday, January 4, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with Rev. James Callahan officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, St. Charles.

Kosidowski, Raymond G.

Raymond G. Kosidowski, 59, of Kellogg, Minn., died Wednesday, January 1, 2003, in the Emergency Room at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Wabasha, Minn.
Funeral services were Saturday, January 4, at the Abbott Funeral home in Wabasha, with Rev. Lyle Krumrie officiating. Burial was in Greenfield Cemetery in Kellogg.

Heck, Robert A.

Robert A. Heck, 75, Winona, died Tuesday, December 31, 2002, at his home.
Funeral services were Saturday, January 4, at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark Dumke, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Wier, Irene L.

Irene L. Wier, 66, of rural Galesville, Wis., died Monday, December 30, 2002, at her home.
She was born April 3, 1936, in Winona, to Henry and Lillian (Traff) Bresaw. On September 26, 1954, she married Cecil K. Wier in Winona.
Irene was a lifetime Christian and a member of the Kingdom Hall in Galesville. She enjoyed classic movies, auctions, writing letters, and sending gifts. She will be remembered as a gentle, caring person who always welcomed one with a smile.
Survivors include her husband, of Galesville; four sons, Curtis and Steven, both of Holmen, Wis., David of Winona, and Paul of Galesville; her mother, Lillian of LaCrosse, Wis.; a sister, Virginia (Lanny) Huemann of Owatonna, Minn.; a special person, Desirée; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were Saturday, January 4, at Zwickey Funeral Homes - Galesville Chapel, with John Swanson as officiant. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Centerville, Wis.
Zwickey Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.

Andring, Evelyn

Evelyn Phylis Louise Andring, 84, of St. Charles died Wednesday morning January 1, 2003, at her home.
She was born August 1, 1918, to Herman and Elsie (Bittner) Schafer in St. Charles. Evelyn and Cyril Andring were married September 9, 1942, in St. Charles. They farmed near Altura until 1949, when they moved to the St. Charles area to farm. In 1979 they retired from farming and moved in to St. Charles. She then worked for Camera Art of Lewiston for four years. Cyril died July 29, 1985. Evelyn was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, and St. Anne's Unit. She was also an RSVP transportation volunteer for SEMCAC. She also volunteered at Whitewater Healthcare Center and at St. Charles Elementary School, helping students read.
Survivors include five children, Joyce (Ron) Stricklin of Syracuse, Ind.; Don (Gail) Andring of St. Charles; Judy Andring of Rochester; Karin (Ken) Peterson of Lewiston; and Dale (Sue) Andring of St. Charles, 14 grandchildren; Jasen, Michael, Cory, Tim, Jared, Matthew, Brandon, Daniel, Vicki & Kimberly Andring, Evelyn Tobias, Krista Peterson and Keri Wahlund, six great-grandchildren, three brothers, Roy Schafer of Cross Lake, Minn., Orrin Schafer of Dover and Marvin Schafer of St. Charles, three sisters, Beulah Kampa of Wabasha, Violet Balk of Winona and Inez (Alton) Loppnow of St. Charles. In addition to her husband, Cyril, a granddaughter Rebecca, a great-grandson Ronnie and a sister Beatrice McDougall have died.
There will be a Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with the Rev. James Callahan officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in St. Charles. Hoff Funeral Home's - St. Charles Chapel.

Heck, Robert A.

Robert A. Heck, age 75, of Winona, died on Tuesday, December 31, 2002, at his home.
Robert Arthur was born in Winona, Minn., on Sept. 24, 1927, to Arthur and Helen (Studt) Heck. Robert attended Madison Elementary, Jefferson Junior High School and graduated from Winona Senior High School. After graduation Robert worked as a teller at First National Bank, Winona. He enlisted in the Army in 1950 and was stationed in Alaska, serving in finances. After the service he took a correspondance course and he was employed by Pentilla and Moen Accounting Firm in Minneapolis. He retired at the age of 58 and lived his life out in Winona.
He is survived by his brother, Bruce Heck, of Champaign, Ill., cousins and special caregivers: Joey, Malia and Samara Storovich, Keturah, Elijah and Nathaniel Bremer and Nona McCullough.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be Saturday, January 4, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home, Winona with Rev. Mark Dumke, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, Winona, officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona.
Casket bearers will be Ronald Studt, Joey Storovich, Elijah Bremer, Nathaniel Bremer, Arthur Huebner and Andrew Elder.

Sosalla, Dustin Garrett

Dustin Garrett Sosalla, 18, of Arcadia, Wis., passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2003, as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born December 17, 1984, in Arcadia to David and Rita (Kujak) Sosalla. Dustin was a senior at Arcadia High School. He was an avid hunter, loved high school sports, and was the 2002 Homecoming King. Dustin was full of determination and tried to excel at everything he did. He had a love of nature, animals, and farming. Dustin was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin. He was loved by all of his friends and will be missed by everyone.
He is survived by his parents: David and Rita Sosalla of Arcadia; one brother: Dylan Sosalla at home in Arcadia; paternal grandparents: Adolph and Collette Sosalla of Whitehall, Wis.; maternal grandparents: Roy and Jane Kujak of Arcadia; uncles and aunts: John (Marlene) Sosalla of Blair, Wis., Cindy (Rick) Hagen of LaCrosse, Wis., Russ (Kathy) Kujak of Arcadia, Regina (Mike) Wantock of Springville, Iowa, Renee (Brad) Wozney of DePere, Wis., Rory Kujak of Arcadia, and Rosanne Kujak of Janesville, Wis.
Preceding Dustin in death was his maternal grandmother, Verna Kujak.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2003, at the Holy Family Parish/Upper Unit (formerly, St. Stanislaus Catholic Church) in Arcadia, with Rev. Patrick Umberger officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, North Creek, Wis.
Serving as casket bearers will be Dustin's classmates.
Dustin's family respectfully asks that memorials be directed to "Family Wishes".

Eichman, Raymond A.

Raymond A. Eichman, 74, of Findlay, Ohio, died Friday, January 10, 2003, at Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, January 13, at St. Michael Catholic Church, with Father Keith Stripe officiating. Burial was in St. Michael Cemetery.

Harris, Richard

Richard Harris, 86, of Bluff Siding, Wis., died Sunday, January 12, 2003, at Lake Winona Manor.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 16, at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winona. Burial will be in the spring in Fountain City Public Cemetery.

Coulter, George B.

There will be a memorial service for George B. Coulter at a later date. The body was cremated.
Mr. Coulter, 73, of Wabasha, Minn., died Wednesday, January 8, 2003, in the emergency room of St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Wabasha.
He was born July 21, 1929, in Okmulee, Okla. Mr. Coulter was an over-the-road truck driver. He moved to Wabasha from Winona in October.
Survivors include two daughters, Laura (Joseph) Hills of Chippewa Falls, Wis., and Dixie Hoglund of Atlanta; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Emmy Jones of Skiatook, Okla., and Margaret Hills of Tulsa, Okla.; and special friend, Florence Ronnenberg of Wabasha.
Abbott Funeral Home of Wabasha was in charge of arrangements.

Wyman Sandra Joanne

Sandra Joanne Wyman, 66, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, January 13, 2003, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark., following a prolonged and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on December 18, 1936, in Independence, Wis., to Otis and Luvina Briggs, both of whom are deceased.
She and her husband, Ted, moved to Bella Vista in 1998 from Winona, where the couple lived for 24 years. She was employed all that time at Morgan's Jewelers in Winona, where she was a Registered Jeweler and a Certified Gemologist. In 1981, at age 45, she earned her B.A. degree from Winona State University, graduating summa cum laude. She served for seven years as council member and council president on the Winona City Council, and also served on the Winona County Historical Society Board of Directors.
Sandy was a voracious reader and an avid bridge player who was blessed with many friends made through that activity. She volunteered at the Bella Vista Public Library and was active in planning and conducting the annual BVPL fund raiser. She was an avid gardener and cook, and found much pleasure in decorating her home. Sandra and Ted moved in October of this past year from their first Bella Vista home on Kirkcaldy Drive to their new home at 30 Dunvegan Drive. Despite her on-going struggle with the disease that finally took her, she had the time and energy to decorate her new home and enjoy the holidays there.
Her husband and three of her children were with her when she died, peacefully, in her sleep at 8:30 Monday morning.
Sandra is survived by her husband; their four children: Bradley B. and wife, Patrice, of Winona, Thomas D., Charles A. and wife, Renee, of Spring Green, Wis., and Jeanne W. of Madison, Wis.; a brother, James Briggs and wife, Mildred, of Caledonia, Minn.; a sister, Audrey Hengel and husband, Michael, of Winona; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 17, at 1 p.m. at the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory. The Rev. Robert Box, a friend and former neighbor, will officiate. An additional memorial service will be held in Winona, Minn., on a yet-to-be-determined date. Details of this additional service will be published when they become available.
The family requests that no flowers be sent. Memorials may be donated in Sandra's name to the American Cancer Society, c/o Dorothy Mortenson, 4 Kensington Lane, Bella Vista, AR 72714.

Calvert, Lucas J.

Lucas J. Calvert, 21, of Minnesota City, Minn., died Monday, January 13, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn.
He was born February 15, 1981, in LaCrosse, Wis.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 17, at 2 p.m. at Central Lutheran Church, Winona. Visitation will be Friday from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at the church.
Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.

Hauser, Hildegarde J.

Hildegarde J. Hauser, 88, of Sauer Memorial Home, Winona, and formerly of 151 McBride Street, died Monday, January 13, 2003, at Community Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 13, 1915, in Fillmore County, Minn., to Arthur S. and Ida J. (Ganstad) Paulson.
She married Alfred B. Hauser on Nov. 19, 1939, at Rushford, Minn. He died May 18, 1993. Hildegarde has resided in Winona since 1959. She first worked as a laborer for Fiberite Corporation and later at Lake Center Industries, retiring in 1962.
She is survived by 3 sons, Daniel Hauser, Richard Hauser and Forrest (Susan) Hauser, all of Winona, and one daughter, Lola Warnke, Lake City, Minn., six granddaughters, four grandsons, one great-granddaughter and twelve great-grandsons.
Hildegarde was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Dale; three brothers, two sisters and a daughter-in-law.
Funeral services for Hildegarde will be on Thursday, Jan. 16, at 10:30 a.m. at the Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home. Rev. James Nelson of St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.; then on Thursday till time of services. Interment will be in Stone Church Cemetery, Houston, Minn.
Casket bearers are Kyle, Al and John Hauser, Eric Steinfeldt, Travis and Trevor Pozanc.
