Lucille McDonald, 89, of Superior died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001.
She is survived by a sister, Irene Anderson of Superior; several loving nieces and nephews; a special grandniece, Melissa Joiner of Superior; and other grandnieces and grandnephews that she loved dearly.
Visitation: 11 a.m. until the noon service Thursday in Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, the Rev. Father Robert Krajewski of Cathedral of Christ the King officiating. Interment in Calvary cemetery.
M. Dale Beckwith
M. Dale Beckwith, 73, of Redwood Falls, Minn., formerly of Superior, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene; children Dennis, Kerry (special friend Mary Crandall), Kathy, Dayle-Ann Wood (special friend Duane Buck), Tara (Ray) Hyde, Karen (Scott) Wells and Beth (Lee) Anderson; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother; and a sister.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. today in Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Redwood Falls. Interment in Redwood Falls cemetery. Arrangements by Nelson-Martin Funeral Home, Redwood Falls.
Dean Raymond Jensen
Dean Raymond Jensen, 69, died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, in St. Francis Home in the Park.
Dean is survived by his special friend, Ethel Edwards and family.

Alice Marie Magnet
Alice Marie Magnet, 87, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, in St. Luke's hospital.
She survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Roberta "Bobbie Ann" and James Dulemba; a grandson, Nicholas Dulemba; a sister, Ruth Holm; and a brother and sister-in-law, Francis and Ellen Youngell.
Graveside service: 1 p.m. Saturday at Iron River, Michigan City cemetery.
Andrew "Koots" Fudally
Andrew "Koots" Fudally, 70, of Wyoming Avenue died Tuesday, July 17, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; sons Andrew "Jimmy" (Margie), Steven (Penny), David (Judy), Michael, Thomas and Frank; daughters Mary (Roger) Ashmore and Linda (Garry) Brill; 14 grandchildren; a great-grandson; his mother; six siblings; several other relatives; and special friends.

John Kenneth Samuelson
John Kenneth Samuelson, 80, of Ogden Avenue, died Monday, July 16, 2001, in St. Luke's Hospital.
John was born May 5, 1921, to Fannie (Mattson) and John Samuelson in Superior. Mr. Samuelson was a lifelong resident and worked as a clerk for the Great Northern and Burlington Northern railroads until his retirement in 1982. John was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He married
the former Sarah Mae Eaton on Dec. 7, 1952.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW and longtime member of the T.C.U.(Transportation Communications Union).
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sarah Mae, on Feb. 3, 1999; brothers Warren and Chester; and sisters June Grenier, Helen Klobucher and Mary Lou Fisher.
John is survived by his sons John (Annette) Samuelson and Eric and Mike Samuelson, all of Superior; daughters Norma (Rick) Hill of Minneapolis and Nancy and Susan Samuelson, both of Superior; grandchildren Alyssa and Rachel Samuelson and Nicholas and Brooke Hill; a brother-in-law, Willis Kintigh; a sister-in-law, Marion Eaton; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation: 4 until the 6 p.m. service Friday in Downs Funeral Home, the Rev. Daniel Dahlberg officiating. Interment at 10 a.m. Saturday in Greenwood cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dick Kintigh, John Klobucher, Rick Hill, Jarred Kenville, John W. Samuelson and Eric Samuelson.
Prudence E. "Prudy" Hanson
Prudence E. "Prudy" Hanson, 65, of Superior died Friday, Aug. 24, 2001.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughters Roberta (Frank) Dumonsau, Carol (Daniel) Gucinski and Amy (Bradley) Hinz; a son, Brian (Debora) Hanson; her mother; two sisters; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins.
Visitation: 5 p.m. Tuesday in William Downs-Lesage Funeral Home and continues from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Wednesday in Concordia Lutheran Church.
Sigmund J. Jacobson
Sigmund J. Jacobson, 88, of Superior died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl; sons William (Marianne), Gerald (Betty) and Donald (Kathleen); a daughter, Janice (Richard) Christman; a brother, Harold (Doris) Jacobson; a sister, Delores Atwell; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Tuesday in Thompson-Hegstrom Funeral Home, where the service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday. Burial in Greenwood cemetery.
Paul "LeRoy" Anderson
Paul "LeRoy" Anderson, 36, formerly of Superior, died Feb. 2, 2001, in Jupiter, Fla.
Paul was born Dec. 16, 1964. He worked as a chef for Pierre's in Jupiter and also had a business maintaining and cleaning offices.
He is survived by his parents Frank and Betty Anderson; a brother, Edward (Dawn) Anderson; and nephews, Erick and Nicholas "Nikki," all of Superior.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Greenwood cemetery, the Rev. Hanna officiating.
Daniel "Dan" O'Keefe
Daniel "Dan" O'Keefe, 47, longtime Superior resident, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, in St. Mary's Medical Center.
Dan is survived by a daughter, Jamie Golen; a son, Dustin; two granddaughters; four brothers; three sisters; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: begins 5 p.m. Sunday and continues from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Monday in Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home. Burial in St. Francis cemetery.
Melvin A. Pederson
Melvin A. Pederson, 80, of New York Avenue died Monday, May 7, 2001, in St. Francis Home in the Park.
He is survived by his sisters, Thelma (Earl) Ellison of Duluth, Elaine (Robert) Skudstad of Superior and Mary Ann (Walter) Olson of Silver Bay; and many nieces and nephews.
Service: 11 a.m. today in Downs Funeral Home. Burial in Riverside cemetery.
Harold M. "Buzz" Case
Harold M. "Buzz" Case, 60, of East Fifth Street died Saturday, May 5, 2001, in St. Mary's Medical Center.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy; a daughter, Teresa Barton; a granddaughter, Zara Case; brothers Bob (Barbara) and Karl Case; and sisters Karol Gehrke, Myrthlee Johnson and Marie (Larry) Webb.

June Marion (Anderson) Stokes
June Marion (Anderson) Stokes, a lifelong resident of Superior and Solon Springs, went to be with her Lord, Monday, May 7, 2001, at Dove Healthcare Nursing & Rehabilitation, Eau Claire, Wis.
June was born to Arthur and Fern Anderson on May 22, 1917. She attended Superior Central High School. She was a lifelong member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Superior where she volunteered for many hours of service.
She married
John E. Stokes on Nov. 20, 1937, in Superior. They were married
55 years until John's death in 1992.
She is survived by a son, Arthur (Lorraine) Stokes of Grand Rapids; a daughter, Carol (Larry) Ebel of Eau Claire; grandchildren John (Christina) Stokes, Gail (Mark) Boller, Lisa (Chris) Hasenberg, Sean (Stephanie) Latterell, Steven Latterell, Melanie (Tim) Weld; and great-grandchildren Erin, Erika, Brittney, Megan, Jordan, Hayden, Alexander, Dylan, Kayla and Chloe.
June was a wonderful, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family and loved to cook for them and for her many friends. She leaves us with many treasured memories.
Her journey was eased by the many caregivers at Dove Healthcare, St. Joe's Hospice, Father Edmund Klimek Sr., Augusta Sperl, Pastor David K. Anderson and Pastor Harold Oelschlager.
Visitation: 10 until the 11 a.m. service Friday in Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Superior. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery with lunch following at the church. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Hospital's Healing Place, 1010 Oakridge Dr., Eau Claire, WI 54701.
Peter Raye
Peter Raye, 86, of Superior died Thursday, April l9, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; a son, Peter David (Dorlene) Raye; a daughter, Diane Kruger; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers; and a sister.
Wake service: 5 p.m. today with 6 p.m. Masonic service, all in William Downs-LeSage Funeral Home. Visitation continues 10 until the 11 a.m. service Tuesday in St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Gary-New Duluth. Burial in Greenwood cemetery.
